Did you use a thermostat on the unit or how can the unit be controlled (on/off) ? Do you have any idea as to how the standard car heater matrix compares to the produced heat power ? I mean do you feel the heater unit of the car is capable of transferring the heat in the water circuit efficiently to the air inside the cabin of the car ?? I am thinking about using a webasto unit together with a mini cooper heater unit (had it laying around) to heat a camper van. I wonder about the noise coming from the exhaust (even with a muffler) though. Could a moped muffler setup help bring down the noise from the unit you think ? How many KW is your heater? I'm considers doing the same but using an Air version.
5KW. When the coolant reaches about 80C it goes into part load at 2KW.
