    I see you have the car's original expansion vessel hooked up. Could you use an insulated larger vessel to provide some hot water storage? What are you thinking the kind of volume you may need to make the heater system more stable i.e.less nervous/switchy?

    this all being done, can you use this heater in cold weather while driving the car. how much fuel does this use per hour and then a supply container for future times when needed. i think you will be quite warm

      You wont have problems using it in very cold weather. As for not so cold weather (5C+), coolant reservoir is required (about 5liters), otherwise the coolant is heated too fast and it will be cycling often. What I do is to use a hybrid, 1KW electric heater just for modest needs and when its really cold or to bring the temperature up I fire the webasto up.
      Fuel consumption I cant remember the exact figure but its about 0.6L/hour in full load or 0.3L/hour in part load. In practice it will be way less than that, this thing heats a car from -5 to 20C in about 5 minutes.
