Yes Sir! They do make great tires. I ran the GPS and liked it a lot better than the Heidenau K60 Scout. Same type of longevity with better traction. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Hi I run the GPS on my triumph Tiger XCA, I believe that the GPS is a great combination both front and rear for us who commute more and still want to do of road on formed dirt roads, with the TC Off road engaged the rear tire grips really well, some have commented without the TC the rear tends to spin too much on the bigger bikes due to the center strip. My mate rode my XCA and was also impressed with the way the GPS front felt on the dirt in comparison to a Pirelli MT21 on his Tiger.
Thank you Kyle for this video! Right now I have a set of Pirelli Scorpion Rally (non-STR) on my Africa Twin. While they work excellent in the sand and especially the front tire is fantastic, they are way to loud for my taste on pavement which can get a bit annoying after a while. I thought about the Desert HT tires, but the Rallz looks like it would be the better match for these kind of bikes. I live in Las Vegas and are still searching for the prefect adventure bike unicorn tire which makes it possible to ride the heavy big bikes in the sand dunes but is not super annoying on pavement as well. Guess I should give this one a try. Or do you think that the Desert HT would be more what I am looking for?
Thanks for this message SWEGOTECH . The Motoz Adventure or Rallz tire has turned out to be the unicorn tire for me. They are basically the same tire... with slightly different knobs and rubber compound. The Adventure tire seems to "wear better" as far as mileage goes thus far. Check out this video on my personal channel, making my own trails up near your house: ua-cam.com/video/r-VjXyd0qAY/v-deo.html The Rallz tire performed AMAZINGLY. The original Adventure front tire is still my favorite tire due to it's super quiet street manners. @@chaparralmotorsports thank you Kyle for the info! Very cool video :-) Yes it would be awesome to ride together, I will send you a friend request on Facebook now, then it is easier to stay in contact.
Thank you for your inquiry Charles. Many of the bikes that run these tires have tubeless rims, so a plug is all that is needed. For those running tube type tires, a Motion Pro BeadPro is a super helpful tool. Now, once the tires have been run for a bit, the sidewalls do become a little more pliable... but tools still make a huge difference. Making sure the opposite side bead is in the dropcenter of the wheel is key too... A couple on trail or in garage changes and most riders will gain confidence and efficiency. Hey Kyle. The rally tyres seem to have possibly been superseded… kind of hard to keep up so do you have similar video illustrating current range these type of tyres. Hey thanks for watching. Kyle is no longer with the company, but please give us a call and a representative can make some suggestions for you. (800) 841-2960.
Awesome review, probably best i have seen. Just been through my first set of Tractionator Adventure with Adventure 2 on the front on a KTM 690. Think they've done about 7000kms with mostly Central Australia Outback type terrain, maybe 2000 kms of tar overall. Just about to do another 7000 km trip up through similar area but more deep sand off track focus using the new RallZ . Think they will be even better just dont know how much will be left in comparison.
Thank you for your message Rick. We are happy to hear that the Adventure tire has served you well. I found the RallZ to wear a little quicker than the Adventure tire but did feel it worked a little better in the soft sand / mud ad the lugs are a little bit more spread out. GREAT tire for sure! -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Hi Rick, how did you go with the Rallz? I also have a 690 and live in Aus. I tend to do lots of dirt and gravel roads with the odd single track thrown in so I'm trying to work out what would be best. Adv or Rallz maybe a combo of both....
James R mate the Rallz were awesome. 5500 km up to Central Aus 80% dirt. didn’t notice much difference in wear to Adv however handled so well off road. Particularly on the front through Flinders off road. I’ve just put another set Rallz front and back.
@@rickatkins5392 thanks mate, I'm looking at other options for the front but you sounds very happy with it so I will see. Would love to do the flinders ranges one day
@Rick Atkins im just about to place an order. Did you get both front and rear as tubed tyres? Someone said to me to get a tubeless front as it will fit and is less likey to get a puncture... Im assuming it would br alot heavyier though so im not sure if thats a good thing.
Great question Blase. I have used the Desert HT on my DRZ400, 450exc as well as my 950 Super Enduro. The Desert HT will be the most aggressive / longest lasting knobby DOT tire for your little bike. The RallZ tire will work... it will roll super smooth and last FOREVER on your light bike... but will be much heavier than the HT. There are trade-offs, but I personally would run the Desert HT. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Chaparral Motorsports, I’ve seen a chart where Desert H/T is in the sub-optimal range in terms of rolling on tarmac. What’s your experience? I have tarmac sections very often between off-road sections. But I really prefer good traction on dirt.
I watched and loved all your videos, I have 2017 R1200GSA, which am going to mount a set of motoz tractionator adventure for it, but do you think is it better to have pirelli scorpion rally for front and motoz tractionator adv rear, am looking for stability in road and dune sand riding too here in Qatar, I will really appreciate your advice. And thank you for sharing all these good information
We haven't tried that combination but there is definitely room for improvement for the front Tractionator and swapping it out for a Scorpion Rally could be a solution. Let us know how you like it. Thanks for watching.
@@chaparralmotorsports Thank you so much Kyle for your fast reply. I reviewed your videos many times, because am little worry about about Motoz T ADV front, So now I decided to go for Motoz RallyZ front and Motoz T ADV rear. Would you choose the anakee wild over this for 60/40 riding? I'm used to sport bikes I'm concerned about corner speed on this since they're not radial tires. My off-road riding will be mostly svra parks maybe one or two bdr adventure a year.
I have an odd off road set-up. Which of the Motoz 21" front tires has the widest tread circumstance, the outside of knob on one side to the outside of the knob on the other side. I am running a wider rim than normal.
I have run two sets now. One about 70% on road for the commute and the other 30% playing hard off road and that set I got 5K miles. The second set was nearly all off road mostly desert and jagged rocks. That set got just over 4k miles. Could have gone longer on the street... but the off-road life was spent. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

This video is extremely helpful. Thanks!
No problem! Check out the 2k mile review: ua-cam.com/video/XSwaT1vawoo/v-deo.html - Kyle
My pleasure! Here is a new one: ua-cam.com/video/rVnT0dl04UA/v-deo.html
Excellent comparison. Only missing the Tractionator GPS. Although it is a 50/50 tire.
Thanks for the great video
Thanks for this message SWEGOTECH
. Let's meet half way and ride... there is so much amazing terrain between Vegas and the Inland Empire. - Kyle
@@chaparralmotorsports thank you Kyle for the info! Very cool video :-)
Yes it would be awesome to ride together, I will send you a friend request on Facebook now, then it is easier to stay in contact.
Sounds great. I've got a vlog style Motoz Rallz tire video coming out shortly. Stay tuned. - Kyle
Great review, what about field repairs given the super hard sidewall. Any tips or insights same problem with k60 and mitas I would think.
What size do I need for an Xr650r? In the RallZ and Adventure tires
Hey Kyle. The rally tyres seem to have possibly been superseded… kind of hard to keep up so do you have similar video illustrating current range these type of tyres. Problem I have is sourcing a 19 inch front rally with the 110/80 profile. Currently run the 120/70 rally on gs12oo (‘13) but wanting the narrow tyre.
What do you think, Desert HT or RallZ could better onto a 130 kg dirtbike using as trail bike?
I have a good feeling that will be better combo to try, especially for deep sand and reasonable on tarmac too. Thank you and please keep up the good informative videos.
Ordered already and from Chaparral Motorsports!!
Would you choose the anakee wild over this for 60/40 riding? I'm used to sport bikes I'm concerned about corner speed on this since they're not radial tires. My off-road riding will be mostly svra parks maybe one or two bdr adventure a year.
Hello, we would probably lean more towards the Anakee Wild for what you're describing.
I have an odd off road set-up.
Which of the Motoz 21" front tires has the widest tread circumstance, the outside of knob on one side to the outside of the knob on the other side. I am running a wider rim than normal.
Sorry not sure.
How many miles are you getting on the Rallyz?
I have run two sets now. One about 70% on road for the commute and the other 30% playing hard off road and that set I got 5K miles. The second set was nearly all off road mostly desert and jagged rocks. That set got just over 4k miles. Could have gone longer on the street... but the off-road life was spent. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Awesome review!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
I re-did it ... on the 950 this time: ua-cam.com/video/rVnT0dl04UA/v-deo.html same results. 4k miles!
looking into buying a 2021 yamaha tenere 700 and would like to have a set of these tires ready to go , how can i find out rim size or proper tire size for this bike ?? looking to order the tractionator front and rear !!
Hello Jeff, the Tenere 700 comes with a 90/90-21 front and 150/70-18 rear.
Here is the front Tractionator Rallz on our website: www.chapmoto.com/motoz-tractionator-rallz-tube-type-front-tire.html
The Rallz isn't offered in a 150/70-18 but is available in a 140/80-18

Thanks for the heads up on mileage on,those. Ill save my money and stick with my 10,000 mile, $50 kenda k270....10,000 miles every single time....could go to 11,000 miles, but I swap, tires out before they hit the rub strips.
Different strokes for different folks. I rode the K270 and it was sketchy at high speed street! What are you riding to get 11k out of the K270??? Thanks for watching! - Kyle
@@chaparralmotorsports I ride a very loaded down DRZ400. 39mm carb. About 75 pavement used. Some, rides with over 100 lbs of gear on board. 10,000 miles both sets I used. Just put on 3rd one. Never let me down. But yes, the front, now,we are, talking different. High speed corners gives out on side lugs. This is the reason you mix it,up. Use the Shinko front that looks almost the same...cant remember for sure, but think its a shinko,244. But much better side, grip on curvy pavement.
Any recommendations for a Ktm 690 from this list ? Great review thank you ! Currently on the tkc 80s
What did you go with Tyler? I'm also looking for a 690
@@James_4444 i stuck with the TKC 80s for now but will be changing the front tire for something more aggressive after this round of KMs
This was a really excellent video except when you refer to the tires, you frequently said "this one", or "that one". It was really hard to follow since you are reviewing so many tires at the same time. Again, great job and I am ordering tires tonight…
Hi, thanks for pointing that out. we'll try to be more cognizant of those kind of details in the future.
@@chaparralmotorsports Again, this is the best tire comparison video I've seen. I just got a little confused…👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I just did a search for tires to fit my bike with no luck. Are they available for the DRZ 400 SM?
Thank you for your inquiry BullBars1. No, these Motoz RallZ tires are made to fit dirt oriented wheel sizes. Your SM being outfitted with 17" wheels front and rear will have a tough time finding tires to fit that are this aggressive. The TKC80 is made in your wheel sizes as is the Avon Trekrider and Trailrider tires. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Are they gooooooood on wet road?
I like them in the wet better than most 50/50 tires. The have a hybrid silica compound that is hydrophobic. Thanks for watching. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Chaparral Motorsports thanks. So you think they are similar or better than Anakee Wild? I’m looking for tyres 50/50. I think about Anakee Wild, Heidenau K60 and Motoz. Price difference is about 30 bucks in Poland. I’m in the pickle
Are Rallz ok with tubes?
For sure! All Tubeless motorcycle tires can be run on a TUBE Type bike as long as tubes are installed!
Bonjour et merci pour cette vidéo...
(Do you know a possibility, a Site, thanks to which it would be possible to translate your comments and opinions into French?)
Pour ma part sur ma KTM 1290 SAS, j'ai monté deux pneus MotoZ :
MotoZ Tractionator RallZ - Tubeless TRXQ 170/60-17 72 Q TL M+S
MotoZ Tractionator RallZ - TubelessTRXQ 120/70-19 60 Q TL M+S
et j'en suis vraiment très content ! ! !
