I feel like Arrma actually cares about customers and the actual fun factor.
The EXB top plate is to allow for the M4 bolt required to run the EXB front chassis brace. The RTR top plate only accommodates an M3 bolt.
Much needed info .👍🏿
great information bro we appreciate this 🍻 thanks
great info and awesome RCs
Nice to see some updates and FINALLY some more honest advertisements. The 3s range I still wish they’d be more honest with but they’re getting better.
Great info
I do like the Spektrum esc.
Arrma rocks.
Just something I want to add to the dual protocol reciever: there are multiprotocol chips for transmitters which let you run around 50(!!!) different protocols on the same transmitter, including all popular rc protocols I know of except Traxxas. That's what really wild. (for anyone wondering it's called the irangex irx4, but you can only use it with quad/plane remotes since rc car ones don't have a module bay)
Wow. I just bought a Mojave.
Man, ARRMA is like the Apple of the RC world! V5!
@David • ... every year.... new version...
I was thinking traxxas because of how expensive their car are but whatever
@@PhorzaSky He Just means they are changing every year. Half of traxxas line up has remained unchanged for a decade
I don’t care about the radio. I use GT5 for all my cars anyway. But the new upgrades from the EXB make it more than worth it over the v4. The v5 has better a-arms (from EXB), better rear shock plate, better bottom chassis, better servo, better on/off switch, better driveline cups (aluminum, from EXB).
It seems to be a unique RX called the SR315 “dual protocol” and they’re only selling it with the slt3
I have a Typhon 6s on order and supposed to ship in 2 wks. Hoping it is the V5.
Because unlike car manufacturers arrma know what year it is 🤯🤯🤯
Hahahaha. True. Except they did the year based models previously but now go by versions.
I own both of these :)
Does anybody know if they are going to update the 4s line? I would like to see what the 4s Kraton and Outcast get.
Regarding that top plate, I think the change is for the screw that mounts to chassis supports, which take an m4 bolt now, I think.
Yeah It seems to be changed to work with the EXB front metal chassis brace and the RTR plastic one.
Yes, that’s the difference. 4mm on the EXB compatible vs 3mm on older versions
The Kraton v5 hope the rear diff is better than the exb version
The main difference with the EXB top plate is that it has an M4 sized bore for the new composite/EXB chassis braces that use an M4 screw at the front
This top plate will fit on all of the 6s range because it still has an M3 bore for the cars (Infraction/Limitless/Felony) that don't use the new M4 screw
Mojave is good enough as it is imo so didn't really need a revamp
The top plate is different because the exb has 4mm bolt hole, the v4 is 3mm.
Glad i held back from buying another kraton
Well done!!
Thanks for sharing this info. I just purchased the v3 senton. I want to get a 6s not sure what one to get? I heard that the typhon 6s is the best 6s to start out with as to being the easiest to work on bot sure if that's true? I really like the looks of the talion😁 again thanks for doing this video.💯
There is a bit less stuff to take off for cages and guards on the Typhon, but it's minor difference. Get whichever style you like the most. Typhon however is ususally the best 6S value, it used to be a bit cheaper than the others. The think I like about the Typhon is you can bash it AND you can get started in 1/8 scale buggy racing with it too. I have old videos of racing my Typhon and it worked well enough, not as tunable as a real race car but I could compete.
You can also truggify the Typhon. It turns into a real beast.
They might be consolidating the trucks they’re offering
Should have done an updated body.imo
Sorry if this is a silly question but can you only buy these RTR? I'd prefer to buy in full kit form and build it myself.
ARRMA does not offer any kits. But there are new EXB (extreme Basher) roller fully upgraded models, which you need to add electronics to finish.
Don’t worry, if you are running a 6s Arrma you will be reaching for the tools often enough to satisfy you.
I do like that Arrma continues to update their product line. The problem I have is there is no stock of new vehicles or parts in any local stores. Damn this cough.
Talion and notorious will be upgrade in summer 2021 from a post on facebook from the boss of arrma😉
They are in stock on horizon hobbies
I was just gonna bjy a mojave glad i waited
Does anybody have a 1/10 brushless system they don't need?
Worth getting over the v4?
Depends on if you can find a discount on V4. V5 is going to feel a lot more responsive because of the radio change.
New geometry towers will NOT bolt straight to the old models... you’d need: arms, shock pins, chassis and shocks to get things to setup correctly .. top plate has an m4 hole so you don’t need to drill for upgrading to exb brace ..
Why would you need the chassis to make it work?
@@alexbekkala1718 I suppose you could always grind on the standard v4 chassis to make it work ... but the droop area is bigger on the v4 making the exb arms not fit with it.
Ok cause I have a v3 kraton with a 3mm racing m2c chassis and it works fine. I was just curious. Thanks for the reply.
Do you have to run 6s with these or can you run 4s?
You can run 4S. 4S on a Typhon is nice, on a Kraton stock gearing it feels a bit slow and tame on 4S.
@@netcruzer thanks for the reply!
Is there a budget friendly battery you recommend?
Rip talion.
If anyone wants a talion get one now. O always wanted the senton 6s but never got one and now I can't because they don't make it any more :(
Founder of Arrma says Talion will be updated Summer 2021 with more things.
@@netcruzer that's good to know. I'm glad they didn't kill it off like the senton 6s
I wonder how they widened it without changing the body?
This is why arrma is the best in my opinion. Not like traxxas to give you nothing better and jack the prices through the roof.
True, the year over year revisions have been impressive. Some complain that it’s always changing and if it was better from the start it wouldn’t need updates. but I’d rather the updates then the models going stale and only getting NEW colors. 😂
@@netcruzer that is true that’s all traxxas is giving you is colors. And the updates are what customers are telling them what it needs and they are doing it to make the people happy that’s why they are the best in my opinion.
I like arma I like traxxas but arma diffs to many having problems with them
@@eddieroadrunner6691 I have never heard of arrma diffs being bad actually they are the go to diff for building speed run cars and numerous other builds. Traxxas has way more issues with diffs they have the some of the worst tolerances. Don’t know about the maxx but the xmaxx wats them for lunch.
@@eddieroadrunner6691 I guess I should say the 6s line has great diffs. Look up rich duperbash on UA-cam and tell me what you think after watching what he puts these arrma cars through.
Just bought a Mojave and love it stock. I was think of getting a Kraton 6s is it worth the buy in your opinion or save up to an 8s Kraton?
I think the 6S Kraton handles better and is more fun than the 8S. I don't own an 8S Kraton though.. but it's a lot slower and heavier than the 6S version and the 6S is a lot less money too.
Get the 6s. The only thing the 8s does better is its size. Power wise it's like the 6s kraton but with 4s stock :/
@@ValFPV undergeared when stock. New pinion gear and its a monster.
I literally just fucking bought the notorious
It's a shame the Mojave is still only 4074 motor
Yeah :/ overheats pretty fast. Even on my kraton 6s
What does 4074 motor mean? So is the new v2 mojave not gna be good & overheat?
Will you be getting one?
I'm considering getting a Kraton EXB or a Mojave V2 as my next 6S Arrma.
@@netcruzer 👍🏾
Sooooo it’s the same kraton with the spectrum system so that’s why it’s the v5 Jesus Arrma keep banging them over the head
And a lot of other different stuff..
@@yamkaw346 oh yea let’s not forget remote and receiver lol
@@angelteamnolimit624 lol did you watch the video
No you idiot, many upgrades from the EXB are in the v5. Bigger a-arms, driveshaft aluminum cups, better rear shock tire mount, better bottom chassis, better on/off switch.
Your guessing an confusing people.
Mojava never was 8 scale the 6s senton was
