13:43 So I've actually seen a few videos digging into the files of the game and looking at models. Basically Ashley was intended to be included in some kind of nightmare sequence at a graveyard or something and her face was to be covered in maggots. Creepy.
After playing through FC5 several times, I can't listen to that song without seeing red-tinted hallways and hearing Jacob's voice in the back of my head. "TRAIN! HUNT! KILL! SACRIFICE!" ....Still a good song, though.
The veterans center in FC5 is part of the main story, that’s Jacob Seed’s compound, the interior is from a cutscene, and the song is the same one Jacob uses to brainwash the main character which explains why it can play and you black out and appear a distance away, he’s activating the brain washing so you can’t get in to presumably kill him.
@@AshMenon you could probably get baptized by joseph and enter the facility at some point (maybe for an evil playthrough) but ended up being cut from the final game
13:46 The model of Sams girlfriend was actually reused from a cut nightmare section. That’s why her face is covered in worms. There’s a file in Somas data that requires a password that’s hidden throughout the game, and this file contains early footage and voice over of what the game was originally going to be like.
That Borderlands 3 alien one is actually easy to explain. Sometimes when you load into a new level, the cutscene doesn't have the ability to play. This might be because a player was paused or a player is connecting, or sometimes its just because the game is buggy. The player is teleported to an area way beneath the map, with their camera ready to be moved about by the code. But with no cutscene the camera stays in the same place. For the "Monster?" It's the barrel of the player's gun. They are using an E-Tech Shotgun with an alien barrel, and that's the only thing that managed to render. We can't see the rest of the player because cutscenes usually cull out any models that don't need to be seen - I guess everything except the alien barrel is on the "cutscene model cull list." 😅
Interestingly, another thing that consistently does not get unloaded during cutscenes is the Zane's barrier. You can see this relatively easily during the Wotan into (if you fall into the arena at the correct angle).
8:23 the littlebigplanet 3 discovery is not a secret. in some popit puzzles you are actually able to kill da vinci, which will just have that scene play the entire time until you undo with the popit powerup. fun little way to get to it though, ill admit, but it's not a secret.

The mad max one is interesting; I've played the game several times and never found that. But! The Big nothing is a weird place, as once when I was driving around on the edges of it I found a tunnel in the dunes that I was even able to drive into. For those wondering, there is an explanation to the statues underground in Dying Light. Techland had a vote where they would add a statue of one of those four people to the game, Kyle, Jade, the Volatile and the bucket dude, those are the models for those statues.
Hey the thing at 2:15 is called a "garbage collector" in programming, basically if an item or in our case a player ragdoll or glitch out of bounds it's tp there to avoid further game engine issues and/or sometimes for memory management as well, the player is then tp once again to a loading screen as there's likely a safeguard looping every few seconds n the code to check if the player is out of bounds, and if he is tp him back to some other location (This is my best guess). Hope I helped, pretty cool video as always, I should really join your discord it looks like a lot of fun :)
From the looks of things, it appears to be a "prop dump". Essentially a point (often at coordinates 0,0,0) where you place common objects and props that are to be used in many locations throughout the map. You can then duplicate the objects in the "dump" across the map. This is done so the game doesn't get bogged down with loading and unloading individual props as you traverse the map. Instead they are loaded upon starting the game and stay in memory until you exit the game. In open world games, like Far Cry, this "dump" is placed in the "persistent level" which is the base map that all the world "cells" or "chunks" are attached to. Sometimes, you have multiple "prop dumps", one for each major region of the map. This appears to be exactly that.
@@tavishf.degroot8181 I know this may sound aggressive but I'd like the source on that. That thing's definitely not a garbage collector in the correct sense, and I highly doubt the engineers involved in the game would name it in such a way. I've made a google search on it, but couldn't find anything relevant.
5:27 we know what all of that stuff is, the statues are from an old competition that Techland hosted on their Twitter. It was something along the line of “who is the true hero of Dying Light?”. Players would then vote on their choice of character; Kyle Crane the protagonist, Jade aldemir the love interest, a zombie Volatile, and finally Gazi with the bucket. Gazi is more of a joke character in the story and most DL players love him, so anytime Techland have an opportunity to reference him, they do. It goes without saying Gazi won the competition and his statue was added and hidden in the game world somewhere for players to find and get rewarded. (The lock box)
3:09 that floating head creature is a glitch that occurs occasionally when loading into a map. It occurs far more often in multiplayer and to explain what it is; It's the barrel of an alien weapon the player has in his inventory.
To explain further: the creature itself has nothing to do with the glitch it's just latency issues causing the transition animation that occurs when spawning into the map to not load in properly.
Yeah, I was just thinking that the way it's glowing looks REALLY familiar. I've found a torgue gun with alien goop covering it's barrel that glows the same way. You know, the orange glow pulsing through the fleshy tendril-like bits constantly. Carbuncle, I think it was called? Something like that...Decent gun, but gross looking.

In Superliminal if you put a soda can in the corner of a room and jump towards the soda can you can glitch out of bounds and land on top of a unused chessboard

I love watching these videos while having friends that make games, like sometimes people are like "in this out of bounds location theres a random floating head, what could it mean" and the likely answer is that something breaks if that head isnt there so they kept it in
@@orlando3.0 Sometimes! Code is weird and when you put something in you might not put it in the right place and then taking it out causes more issues than keeping it in, so when its something that the player won't/shouldn't encounter its easier to keep it in rather than go in and manually try to figure out why things break when its removed

For the Assasin's Creed one, it's probably a result of the game spawning two player objects with shared code when there should only be one. That's why when he died, you died.
classic doom has a similar thing, in that game its called a voodoo doll that spawns when there is more then one player in single player. just watch Voodoo Dolls in Doom by decino he explains it in depth.
There's this one out of bounds discovery in TF2 where you can find a pool with alot of the characters chilling there. From what I remember, if you load up the map thundermountain and type noclip in console, I dont remember if its RED or BLU's Spawn, right next to one of those spawns is a pool with TF2 characters vibin. (EDIT 1) Please, like this so oddheader can see! Not tryna sound like im asking for likes, I would just really like him to cover this or talk about this.
There’s multiple places where TF2 characters can be seen. In a map with a “Top Secret” door, a RED Soldier stood in front of it. Behind this door was one of those red Polaroid photo rooms. A RED Scout and Heavy can be seen in front of three photos, with the Scout in a Humiliation stance (The part after a round, where the losing team is unable to attack). The photos depicted obscured, mechanical-looking figures. On another map with another Top Secret door, a RED Soldier stood in front in a room full of film circles. Inside was a white room, BLU Spy standing in a Humiliation stance in front of a table holding a map depicting a map. The same trio of polaroid photos hung up behind the Spy. These were first discovered before MvM was revealed.
I really like how immediately show the Easter egg in the thumbnail, just in case anyone was clicking on the video just to know what that was. That has to be the near opposite of clickbait.
My favorite out of bounds discovery is the fact that Valorant's anti-cheat starts the moment you boot your PC and will automatically disable things without asking, resulting in being unable to use your PC :)
2:15 - I actually know exactly what that place could be, it's probably the origin point of the map where things are spawned if the location is unknown or an error. So, if they patched out the glitch that would let players get back up after drowning, this could be a failsafe (or a bug resulting in that failsafe) of the game trying to teleport the player back to a normal spot, and that spot not being defined. So, about all the props and stuff too? If something is spawned, respawned, and sometimes removed forcibly, it is trying to find that same value of where to teleport the things to. This just defaults to coordinates of 0 x, 0 y, and 0 z as seen with all the props that got spawned there for whatever reason. Sometimes developers will just hide objects like that by just removing their initial spawn location and letting them spawn at the default 0, 0, 0 coordinate
This is the comment I was looking for. I learned of this from watching a dev interview with the Witcher's team. I think Skyrim also had a thing like this. It might be interesting to see what's at the origin point of all levels in video games.
7:25 When the player falls through the ground, the game teleports the player back up, but probably due to miscommunication in development, it also spawns a new character. Both players react to input, i don't think its a coop mode.
I have a different idea. An important thing to note is that the horse disappears. I think that the game for some reason turns the Horse into Ezio, probably due to the way the game handles player controlled actors. See, Assassin's creed needs to jump between different player controlled characters based on what area is being loaded, so it probably replaces the player controlled actor with the one assigned to the map. The way horses work is that they are marked as a player entity when being ridden, so that they respond to user input. When you die while on the horse, the game reloads the map, and thus reassigns the player actor to be Ezio. However, since the horse is currently marked as a player actor, it also gets replaced with Ezio.
The "50's song" is only you, a song that one of the antagonist uses to knock you out, thats why you cant access the veteran center, jacob (one of the antogonists of the game) is there
"I'm starting to think drowning yourself might actually be a really effective way to find some Easter eggs." Like the one where nearly drowning during a boss changes the Sonic 3 boss music to the Sonic & Knuckles boss music because that music was programmed in ahead of time? That may just be a glitch though.
I believe that was an unintended bug. From a website called Sonic Retro: "This behaviour also seems to date back to Sonic 1, where resuming music after drowning was handled with a lookup table with a single special case for boss areas, rather than using the stored previous track as Sonic 3 does elsewhere. This bug is much less noticable in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, as the Sonic & Knuckles midboss music happens to be the correct track to resume during the Big Shaker fight, which is by far the more likely of the two water bosses to induce drowning."
Truth be told, it's actually like a really good way of finding hidden content in games (like, because developers expect you to not want to like insta-death on the regular). One of my own experiences with it was when I played the really buggy Wii version of Lego Batman 2. If you drown at a certain place in Gotham's harbor type area (and swap out with a flying immortal character mid-drown), you can find the model of Gotham used in the cut scenes just there to explore.
I’ll try and look into the Mad Max one when I get back to my house Monday, I love mysteries and Easter eggs, so I’ll trial and error to see if I can take Rico’s skeleton there.
That Assassin’s Creed glitch can even occur just by playing the game normally with a second controller plugged in or turned on. I couldn’t finish the game on my original run because of it. If you proceed with your clone, you can’t finish the level, because cutscenes don’t happen and enemy AI is disabled.
@@JKArcade I get the feeling that the game just simply spawns another player object by mistake, I don't think it's code related to an unused co-op mode.
I can take a stab at the first one-- like you said, it looks like a group of spawn objects collected together at the zero point of the map. The background looks like the underside of the map topography. What happened was probably a spawn glitch-- my best guess is that the player drowned on the same frame they were supposed to be teleported away from the Veteran's Center and the game freaked out trying to consolidate where they were supposed to be for a few seconds. Kooky.
The BL3 audio bug at 3:32 sounds like the two active characters, Amara and FL4K, both shouting an identical line. Probably an automatic callout like "grenade!" Though, for some reason the map transition triggered them.
I remember actually experiencing the cloned Altair (That's not Desmond.) glitch in Assassin's Creed growing up. I never knew what triggered it, but it was honestly really fun to use that clone in combat after we were sure it wouldn't vanish on death. I'm not sure if we got out of bounds in the same way, (although that method does seem familiar) since we got in other areas towards the top as well.
The assassin's creed one could actually be much simpler than a co-op mode. It loaded two player objects in the game instead of one, which naturally responds identically to the controls and is also why you died upon killing it lol
Also kind of curious, there's an animation for Altair being assassinated when his model is unique and as far as I know can't normally be assassinated in normal cameplay
8:33 Thought Id Post This Here So with LBP3s Larry davinchi In an old build you were able to “kill” davinchi but it was scrapped Well kinda in some copies its patched but there are some ways to trigger the cutscene The cutscene would have the ghost form with a video saying to rewind the game by pressing Depad Left Theres Even Scrapped Voice Lines That Support this Davinchi: “oh Well Now How Frightfully Rude Lets Try not to let that happen again Eh” Victoria: “flattened like a poorly timed Soufflé”
7:10 I'm pretty sure 's the game bugging out when trying to respawn the player back in-bounds. I don't know exactly what's happening, but to me that looks like the game accidentally creating two instances of the player object. That's why they both move exactly the same - they're both reading the same controller inputs.
Not to mention that a similar bug actually ended up becoming a power-up in Super Mario 3D World, that being the Double Cherry. That's what gives me the idea.
The "Gesundheit" one of the greatest moments on youtube for me. First time i dont hear a Na** reference or joke just a regular "Gesundheit", i love you.

3:10 that is one of the new alien parts for some of the new weapons on BL3. His playermodel and gun might have not loaded properly in but the alien front of his gun did.
About the lbp3 mystery... I do remember seeing that during the beta days on UA-cam... I couldn’t find the video.... Until I found out it was actually was an unlisted video! It’s by someone called ARD m.ua-cam.com/video/cD-cKbiBONU/v-deo.html Skip to 13:25 and there you go!
The LBP thing is easily explainable. In the Untethered Jetpack tutorial of the Creator Pack 2, you can fly all the way up to the top of the level and find The Queen hanging onto a cloud. It's just a joke from the dev's for the player to find. There's nothing really to it. I'm surprised that they didn't make him say anything.
Most of these glitches are a very common technique developers use to buffer pooled assets, they instantiate them and put them outside the players view for quicker loading. So when the player dies or goes out of bound, you're able to see the pooled objects (that's the technical term). Though some of the bugs are a bit weird and usually you don't buffer unused assets.
A man with a bucket... huh, makes me remember this Star Wars character known as "The Ice Cream Guy/Man" who appears in the background of Cloud City in ESB.
7:10 "the game's main character Desmond"... I mean, you're not technically wrong, but on the video it's clearly Altaïr that we see... you know, the other (and the real) main character! :)
It's pretty common for Oddheader to get lots of stuff wrong, exaggerated or misunderstood in videos, but at least this time he's not.. wrong. just half truthing. I did have to double-take as well though
Something that has always bugged me is a discovery I made when I was younger. In the game Army Men: Land Sea Air on the multiplayer map with the two islands. If you happen to glitch out of bounds and into the water which you can walk on. On one edge of the map at the corner are two npc green army men which will attack the tan player at sight. My younger brother and myself used to play the game all the time and you could easily glitch out of bounds in the multiplayer maps. We used to spend hours trying to see what secrets lay beyond. However that one map was the only one with active npc's. I've been wondering about it for ages and I hope someone could give me a answer as to why they are there.
1:14 I know I am very very late but after this was patched out there was another bug where if you played with two people and one got into a crop duster plane and then they left you behind you would tell them when you are teleporting so they would jump out and you would be teleported into the plane and be able to fly outside of the map without being moved back into the map. Of course me and my friend are stupid so we could never get the timing right and just one time we tried it I spawned mid air, got cut by the blades of the plane, then didn't die and I just parachuted to the building. Of course this is after the building got removed from the map.

I'm going to be honest with you, that thing is definitely NOT a garbage collector. I don't think you understand what a garbage collector is.
KineticManiac its what the game calls it
@@tavishf.degroot8181 I know this may sound aggressive but I'd like the source on that. That thing's definitely not a garbage collector in the correct sense, and I highly doubt the engineers involved in the game would name it in such a way. I've made a google search on it, but couldn't find anything relevant.
@@KineticManiac bud engineers name assets all kinds of things so it probably true

There's this one out of bounds discovery in TF2 where you can find a pool with alot of the characters chilling there.

Wow thanks for the awesome comments I was so interested in what that was . And what the use for it is

Both players react to input, i don't think its a coop mode.
Wasnt the first Assassin Creed going to br a Coop price of Persia game?
He called ezio Desmond, which he technically is Desmond but not really

"I'm starting to think drowning yourself might actually be a really effective way to find some Easter eggs." Like the one where nearly drowning during a boss changes the Sonic 3 boss music to the Sonic & Knuckles boss music because that music was programmed in ahead of time? That may just be a glitch though.
I believe that was an unintended bug. From a website called Sonic Retro:
"This behaviour also seems to date back to Sonic 1, where resuming music after drowning was handled with a lookup table with a single special case for boss areas, rather than using the stored previous track as Sonic 3 does elsewhere.
12:43 it sounds like you're rapping to the music and it actually sounds good!

That Assassin’s Creed glitch can even occur just by playing the game normally with a second controller plugged in or turned on. I couldn’t finish the game on my original run because of it. If you proceed with your clone, you can’t finish the level, because cutscenes don’t happen and enemy AI is disabled.
That definitely seems like it's loading code that doesn't run right then. Such as a cut co-op mode.
@@JKArcade Could it be a sort of debugging feature that wasn't cut properly?
@@JKArcade I get the feeling that the game just simply spawns another player object by mistake, I don't think it's code related to an unused co-op mode.
12:40 that freestyle

So with LBP3s Larry davinchi In an old build you were able to “kill” davinchi but it was scrapped Well kinda in some copies its patched but there are some ways to trigger the cutscene
The cutscene would have the ghost form with a video saying to rewind the game by pressing Depad Left
Theres Even Scrapped Voice Lines That Support this
Davinchi: “oh Well Now How Frightfully Rude Lets Try not to let that happen again Eh”
Victoria: “flattened like a poorly timed Soufflé”

7:10 I'm pretty sure 's the game bugging out when trying to respawn the player back in-bounds. I don't know exactly what's happening, but to me that looks like the game accidentally creating two instances of the player object. That's why they both move exactly the same - they're both reading the same controller inputs.
Not to mention that a similar bug actually ended up becoming a power-up in Super Mario 3D World, that being the Double Cherry. That's what gives me the idea.

3:46 Patrick?
1:14 I know I am very very late but after this was patched out there was another bug where if you played with two people and one got into a crop duster plane and then they left you behind you would tell them when you are teleporting so they would jump out and you would be teleported into the plane and be able to fly outside of the map without being moved back into the map. Of course me and my friend are stupid so we could never get the timing right and just one time we tried it I spawned mid air, got cut by the blades of the plane, then didn't die and I just parachuted to the building. Of course this is after the building got removed from the map.
