Regarding Crash N-Sane Trilogy, Skylanders was made by Toys For Bob, who made Crash 4 and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Vicarious Visions were the ones who made the Crash N-Sane Trilogy.
Evidently with the same engine, having good ol' Template Template in there and (if what another comment I read was true) cut characters that were intended for Skylanders. Plus Crash's Skylander model, which I'd imagine would have been used while they were making their own.
10:56 These are actually cut characters from a scrapped skylanders game. It would have been the 7th installment of the series. Template legacy is, as the name suggests, a template for the swappers from game number 3. Vicarious visions kept him in many of their games, presumably as an inside joke.

I get why UA-camrs dont turn down a wad of cash for a quick in-viedo ad but its still annoying and sometimes downright harmful not only to the video and its quality but also for people gullible enough to click a link or download a game, start an account, etc... Most often its just the shittiest products throwing some money at the problem to lure more people in because it wouldnt sell otherwise
Something interesting about the Professor Oak fight, courtesy of The Cutting Room Floor; There's an unused trainer AI for Professor Oak that would have used a Hyper Potion when his Pokémon's HP was low.
I dont think he was killed in miles morlas because he was listed as in the raft on kravens tablet when he sees all of new Yorks main players I personally think he's still alive because they obviously wanted to kill him In spiderman 2 hence why they even included him on the wall but ended not doing that and scappong his head being mounted
@oddheader I can explain the professor oak battle, Red blue and green and yellow were suppose to be longer but due to cartridge limits they were forced to cut down on certain things, originally there was suppose to be 9 badges, 191 Pokémon and a boss rush at the end of the game, many other changes too, one of them mewtwo was moved to the silph co, you had to defeat professor oak as well as many other trainers to get to it, mewtwo’s cave was instead where moltres was, very different too.
Decided to look into the unused characters for Crash, and it definitely appears as though they were Skylanders characters at one point, they even had prototype figures made for at least the rabbit and the hockey player. The fact they have the template character, and from what The Cutting Room Floor showed, Crash's Skylander model in the files seems to prove that.
The Bully Moon Face looks like it could be a Sinistar reference. The minigame is based on the arcade game Qix, so maybe they were originally referencing different 80's arcade games with it?
...Bully being about "defending yourself against Bullies" is the equivalent of saying GTA is about fixing hyper violence by murdering everything that moves
I'm sure bully has you bullying people, but last I played, bully was more about fitting in and running errands. You fought people, but the people you fought usually instigated it. Its still not a bully simulator.
that's what some GTAs are about doe. Not quite like that. But SA is about cleaning up the streets from crack and IV is about moving away from violence while at the same time murdering most of the city's criminal underworld
That Kraven the Hunter room is clearly full of placeholder art: just look at the super low-poly chair. I'm willing to bet the real reason Rhino's head is on the wall is not because Kraven was involved in his death but because the devs threw together the trophy wall with whatever assets they had to hand and they thought it'd be funny.
The DS3 one isnt cut content, the model was literally only used for animation reasons, lorewise we've seen several half dragons that are invisible in previous games and this game. Its kinda their whole thing.
@@2401blue Yorshka and The Painter, though much like Priscilla they tend to stay visible, its implied that when young they do not have the ability to control their invisibility
I would guess that the Kraven room will be part of a DLC that will release around the same time as the movie which is slated to release in august. The plot of the dlc will probably revolve around Kraven tracking and killing notable spideman villians with his first kill being Rhino in an opening cutscene.
I just played through ds3 for the first time a couple months ago, and the Oceiros encounter was weird and fascinating even without the original models. Definitely one of my favorite characters in the series. And the cut content makes it a lot creepier
The Bully minigame for revealing pictures is based on the old arcade game Qix. It just so happens that from the late 80s to the late 90s, there were a million arcade games of an adult nature based upon that same formula. Most of them have purposefully unappealing enemies and imagery for when you fail, or to break your focus (and your..."interest") so that you become determined to reveal the special picture. I'm pretty sure it is just a reference to an outdated arcade trend for the shiggles.
That untextured character at the end of the crash bandicoot part actually IS from skylanders. It was like a placeholder in swap force for the swapper skylanders. Same animations and everything.
If you play oddheaders voice at 2× speed, he sounds like the guy at the end of the medicine commercials that speaks really fast explaining the dangers of using the medication
There also used to be a very graphic and disturbing sound of oceiros crushing the baby, removed for obvious reasons. another little thing, the baby is removed from the game but the skeleton/rigging for it is still present in the files, or atleast it was when I heard about it.
11:52 If Template Template is in the N'Sane Trilogy, then it might be safe to assume that the other three were also intended to be Skylander Characters. (Template Template appears in many Skylanders games and shares the same model. As the name suggests, it was a template model used for the Skylanders characters. I believe it also had that weird slapping attack that didn’t do much.)
Seeing ocelot get slammed into the ground isn't even the worst part of the cut content in Osiris's fight. There are cut sfx of the baby getting squished into the ground.
6:50 Yeah, that's Ocelotte's death... It's unfortunate, but it's a great tale. Honestly, I wish there was a way to save Ocelotte. But it's hinted that Ocelotte may be the catalyst for the legendary MLGS. Regardless a good story is a good story, no matter the contents. It's kind of implied that the player does the invisible half dragon spawn harm and that's what brings Oceiros to get so mad and squash it's presumed c*prse.
Fun Fact about the Darksouls 3 boss. Ocelot is indeed still in Oceiros's hand, as you can get critical damage on the boss by shooting the invisible baby he's holding with a bow. The baby still has a hitbox.
12:03 This fella here is Template Template, an unused character from Skylanders: Swap Force. He's missing his textures here. He was created to be the base for all the Swap Force characters and the swapping functionality, that way they wouldn't have to build every single character from scratch. His being here might prove that the other unused characters were going to be in a Skylanders game.
I believe the professor oak fight in red and blue was intended to be a post game boss. Akin to Steven Stone in Emerald and Red (the player character from the first generation) in Gold/Silver. Since generation 1 notably lacks a post game boss of any sort. Either that or the surprise champion was originally supposed to be professor oak before it was changed to have your rival be the surprise champion instead. Either way, his unused team has most of the same pokemon that your rival has save only for having the starter that neither you or your rival picked.
The dark souls 3 ocelot thing I was super involved in at the time and provided some proof from the game's files at the time of a baby crying + some other things. I do believe they meant to have the NPC literally eat a child during the fight but removed it.
There is another clue about Oak in the trading card game released at the same time as the games. There is a fake Professor card, making the theory that this Professor Oak in the battle is a doppelganger.
Nah, Imposter Oak was meant to make an appearance in Gold and Silver since the Spaceworld Demo has a sprite of him hanging out in a random building in one of the early map’s towns.
@Jolis_Parsec According to Bulbapedia, the first Imposter Oak card was in the 1996 'Base Set'. Gold and Silver had only just started development at that time and released 3 years later. There were no Gen 2 themed cards in this deck, nor in the Base 2 deck (where Imposter Oak was also released in).
@@prowler6435 I’m merely going off what The Obsessive Gamer said in his Gold and Silver Spaceworld Demo video, friend. Imposter Oak does indeed appear in one of the normally inaccessible towns (inaccessible due to it being well outside the intended playable boundaries of the demo, but what was clearly part of the original design they had envisioned for the sequels), though he doesn’t have any dialogue unfortunately.
@@Jolis_Parsec No worries. I think I've seen the video you got your info from as well. My theory is that Imposter Oak was intended for Red/Blue and developed up to a point, and the information was sent to the trading card team - who made and released the card. Then, late in development, they decided against the encounter, pulled it, but left the fight hidden away intact, believing no one would ever find it. Then the devs decided to reuse the fight in Gold/Silver, but changed their minds late in development after that demo, removing it a second time.
11:15 this is actually an unused Skylander form Skylanders swap force, most likely a placeholder for them, if this character is here then that could mean the previous characters were probably ider scraped Skylanders or Skylanders meant for a 7th instalment in the Skylanders series that was scrapped, I highly recommend the video mad by Bombbringer about the missing 17th Skylander to explain this untextured character
Honestly not really done any research but I can imagine that the weird face thing in the tech demo is not necessarily intended to be scary but more intended to show off the sort of topology and detail that the game / game engine could handle. Basically just a way for the modelers to show off their skills and ability to work around the limitations of the time
It was a real-life art installation of a recreation of the Lady Liberty’s face. The exhibit ended some time before the game released so it was removed from the game
Oak was 100% planned to be the final battle it's even referenced in let's go so i have no idea why it was in this video considering it's pretty infamous cut content
While I don't think it's ever been explicitly confirmed, a lot of people agree that the Skylanders characters found in the N. Sane Trilogy files were meant to be in the shelved seventh game. There's a couple photos floating around online of physical 3D printed prototypes of Blaster Tech, supposedly named "Dust Bunny," and Bruiser Undead, supposedly named "Slap Rot."
3:20 I've had that exact magazine since it was first published and always found that screenshot very creepy, but since I never played GTA3 much I never assumed it was noteworthy in any way

10:56
These are actually cut characters from a scrapped skylanders game. It would have been the 7th installment of the series.
Template legacy is, as the name suggests, a template for the swappers from game number 3. Vicarious visions kept him in many of their games, presumably as an inside joke.
11:48 The Template guy is actually originally from Skylanders Swap Force. He was called Template Template and was likely used to test the swap gimmick. BoomBringer did a video on it.

"Sign up now for a bundle of Premium currencies" in an ad for a free game is a red flag, the sponsored segment just translates to "avoid world of tank the same way you avoid surfshark and raid shadow legends"
Praise be our saviour sponsorblock
Yeah, the same hand full of Sponsors on UA-cam (Skillshare, Surfshark / Nord VPN, Hello Fresh, Raid Shadow Legends, World of Tanks, Better Help, etc...) constantly shoved down our throats all have something shady going on. I get why UA-camrs dont turn down a wad of cash for a quick in-viedo ad but its still annoying and sometimes downright harmful not only to the video and its quality but also for people gullible enough to click a link or download a game, start an account, etc... Most often its just the shittiest products throwing some money at the problem to lure more people in because it wouldnt sell otherwise
.. go a level further... Due to all the better help ads etc, if I see an ad on UA-cam.. I naturally assume it's a scam lol

11:51 This is a unused Skylander from "Skylanders: Swap Force". Their name is "Template Template" in the game and even has a texture.
It’s not an unused skylander. He’s called template template for a reason.
Rhino was killed in Miles Morales, so his inclusion in that glitch lair makes even less sense
He was not killed. He was taken back to the raft
I always though the Professor Oak model in Red/Blue looks really sinister so it's not much of a surprise that he was originally intended to be fought.
...Bully being about "defending yourself against Bullies" is the equivalent of saying GTA is about fixing hyper violence by murdering everything that moves
So you're telling me I've been playing GTA wrong then....?
I mean it is. It's just the bullies are (mostly) not the students.
There cant be violence if everyone is dead 😎
The Professor Oak section went off the rails hard
The DS3 one isnt cut content, the model was literally only used for animation reasons, lorewise we've seen several half dragons that are invisible in previous games and this game. Its kinda their whole thing.
That's...maybe a good point. I've never thought of that before. :o What other ones are there besides Priscilla?

I would guess that the Kraven room will be part of a DLC that will release around the same time as the movie which is slated to release in august. The plot of the dlc will probably revolve around Kraven tracking and killing notable spideman villians with his first kill being Rhino in an opening cutscene.
Uhh, isn't that the plot of the game though (minus Rhino dying)? Feels like a wasted opportunity to have a DLC that's just the main plot but more so.
@@WitchLunaEstrella I haven't played the gsme so I didn't know the plot.
this is my theory, too.
it was planned to be a movie tie-in dlc.

😬
Onqon
5:15 "Yeah, this dude's going down!"
Prof Oak: "...Just like your mom...."

That first character from the Crash section was clearly reworked into Dingodile in Crash 4.
@TheYellowShyGuythey could have still used the files
The dark souls 3 ocelot thing I was super involved in at the time and provided some proof from the game's files at the time of a baby crying + some other things. I do believe they meant to have the NPC literally eat a child during the fight but removed it.
Remember seeing the pokemon Oak from doing glitches in Poke Blue
I have a feeling that if the pasta mode for WWF game was found earlier it would've become another 'gta hot coffee' incident.
11:31 My money's on this character being named "Dust Bunny."
The sound effect of Oceiros crushing Ocelotte should still be floating around on UA-cam, it's highly disturbing though.
The character Template Legacy's model was used in multiple Skylander's games, providing proof that their pals were meant for Skylanders.
My only complaint with oddheader is that I want more uploads

Basically just a way for the modelers to show off their skills and ability to work around the limitations of the time
I'm personally assuming that it was probably intended to be an art installation or something. Like a statue or sculpture or something.
It was a real-life art installation of a recreation of the Lady Liberty’s face. The exhibit ended some time before the game released so it was removed from the game

I really wished we would stop censoring stuff like that. I get it, it's referenced to something inappropriate, but it is super ridiculous.
I've never heard an ad for a game, say it was usually fun.
Oak was 100% planned to be the final battle it's even referenced in let's go so i have no idea why it was in this video considering it's pretty infamous cut content
I'm a decently knowledgeable Pokémon fan and I didn't learn this till now. So it might depend on what circles you're in.
Okay but Slap Rot is an AMAZING name for a zombie hockey player
