All That Remains are basically the reason metalcore is the way it is today. The Fall of Ideals is genuinely the best metalcore album of all time, and it isn't close.
agree to disagree, but The Fall of Ideals definetely deserves its place in the top 5 melodic metalcore albums of that era. Kilswitch, Shadows Fall, In Flames, etc. should be in the conversation as well. That said, obviously no disrespect to ATR - they're GOATed
One of my favorite songs to play on guitar Early All That Remains is what made me pick up a guitar in the first place The Air That I Breathe, Chiron, and Focus Shall Not Fail are absolute bangers RIP Oli Herbert One of the best guitarists to come out around this time Another one gone too soon
Awesome reaction this song is what made me such a big fan of All That Remains, I've seen them twice in concert! They put on an awesome show, R.I.P Oli Herbert!
They just completed the Fall of Ideals anniversary tour where they played it in its entirety back to front. Miss May I and someone else opened. Absolute madness in that pit🤘
You just solved a puzzle for me by saying this sounded like "Power Rangers" lol. As a kid I was OBSESSED with Power Rangers and loved the theme song. I have been hooked on this type of music and heavier stuff since I was a kid. I guess I need to give credit to Power Rangers for shaping my musical taste to this day 😂.
They just released these past couple months 2 new songs with new drummer bassist and lead guitarist and they're insaneeeeeeee. Rip oli Herbert so glad I got to meet and hang with him such a genuine regular dude he was in the crowd w us after they played watching other bands just as a fan of music and just acted like he knew us lol
They really had some bangers back in the day. A big name in the mid-2000's new wave of American heavy metal. The song they did for one of the Saw films, This Calling, is a certified banger for sure.
Note that this came out at the tail-end of the era of shortening songs for T.V., so this is not the song as intended. Basically the guitar solo, and build up to the end was cut. All That Remains guitar solos are notoriously short, so why they cut it at all is a mystery.
This part of the song repeats. And still you feel like the loneliness Is better replaced by this I don't believe it this way And I can see the fear in your eyes I've seen it materialize Growing stronger each day I could see it as you turned to stone Still clearly I can hear you say Don't leave, don't give up on me Two weeks and you ran away I remember don't lie to me You couldn't see that it was not that way Swear I never gave up on you
All that remains you gotta go down that rabbit hole and listen too This Calling , Six , The Air That I Breath , Not Alone, The Deepest Gray all good all our a must.
keep up the amazing work. the weak willed, the waiting one, stand up, asking too much, what if i was nothing, this probably won't end well, madness, for you, hold on, for we are many, victory lap
Love all that remains. My now wife got me four of their cds when we first started dating due to my love for them. Unfortunately have not seen them in concert yet but here's to hoping!!
saw them in 2009 or 2010 at a tiny venue called the masquerade in Atlanta while in the military , awesome show, they were the headliner i believe, and lacuna coil was there as well, can't remember the other 2 bands at that show, also saw alesana at the same venue lol good times
Oh shit i had forgotten about this song! 🤯 i only really remembered "Hold On" which i love, but havent heard in some time. This song i liked but it kind of got lost to time as some songs do 😭
One of those bands where you need albums and not single tracks. The Fall of Ideals and Overcome are two of the best. You can pick and choose tracks, but there are few full albums that are just great. All That Remains managed to have two of them.
Oh man, I used to listen to these dudes all the time. I'd have them on a playlist while I played world of warcraft pvp 😂 I believe they have a song called Six which is a banger too.
I haven't heard this in so long! Me and my friends used to blast this album in our trucks and act like maniacs. I grew up in Maine and we all had lifted pickup trucks with huge offroad tires and good stereo systems and we used to get drunk and smoke blunts and drive around with metal cranked so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. When the cops tried to pull us over, we would just drive into the woods like maniacs and get away. We knew all the logging roads that cover half the state and we would shoot our guns out the windows at road signs and trees. We would even drive across the river and go to Canada when the river was low in summer and raise hell, do burnouts and donuts on people's lawns and haul ass back over the border. This album was on repeat all the time during the summer it came out.
Hey Rachel. Awsome reaction as usual. Would love to see a reaction to The Ghost Inside - Aftermath. Think you will love it alot and the back story behind that song is truly....mind blowing. Can't wait to see it. (Hint hint, nudge nudge 😂)
Welcome to the world of ATR. If you enjoyed the past pace of two weeks, then i agree with others, you would like This Calling. Im also suggesting Six as well. The whole Fall of Ideals album is a banger and I would watch your listen through in its entirety.
Fucкing awesome band. RIP Oli Herbert, he was bad ass guitarist. 🤘
you should try "this calling" next time, it's an excellent song too and shows another side of the band, that's it, great reaction as always
Great request. I actually have part of that song tattooed on my ribs.
The air that I breathe!!
This Calling was my ringtone for years. Old school ATR!
And my favourite "Six"
@@devinspartan6139that’s definitely NOT old school ATR.
"Two Weeks" and "This Calling" were my two favorite songs to play in Rock Band lol.
I was always partial to Chiron's guitar.
Focus shall not fail🤘🏻
The video for this is from Saw (I think), so if you're squeamish, I'd recommend a lyric video.
You should check out Six by them. It does a great job combining their heavier style with their lighter melodic bridges. Great video as always!
All That Remains are basically the reason metalcore is the way it is today. The Fall of Ideals is genuinely the best metalcore album of all time, and it isn't close.
Unfortunately, this song and this calling were cut up a bit for the music video, and it has a bit more on the actual album.
Alive Or Just Breathing is the pioneer album for metalcore
Shadows are Security takes the cake for me
agree to disagree, but The Fall of Ideals definetely deserves its place in the top 5 melodic metalcore albums of that era. Kilswitch, Shadows Fall, In Flames, etc. should be in the conversation as well. That said, obviously no disrespect to ATR - they're GOATed
Alive or Just Breathing is such an amazing album. Will always be on my regular listens.
"This calling" is top tier
One of my favorite songs to play on guitar
Early All That Remains is what made me pick up a guitar in the first place
The Air That I Breathe, Chiron, and Focus Shall Not Fail are absolute bangers
RIP Oli Herbert
One of the best guitarists to come out around this time
Another one gone too soon
Dude I just went and listened to Focus Shall Not Fail and.. damn. I need to listen to some more early All That Remains. Thank you
All That Remains, These guys set the pace and one of the first to introduce metalcore to this beautiful world
Freaking love these guys!!! Their songs “This calling”, “Hold on”, “Chiron”, damn I could go on and on lol
I love Chiron... Less known banger!
Air that I breathe, six
When you said rangers I couldent unhear it and i'm all for it!
Same
Had a chance to meet these guys... they put on a great show and are super cool!
The Air That I Breathe, Not Alone, and The Deepest Gray are some other good choices (aside from the ones I’ve seen mentioned).
Oooo I forgot about Deepest gray
This song is legendary
The circle pits i was in during these songs live were next level!
Definitely check out "This Calling". It's such a great song by them.
Awesome reaction this song is what made me such a big fan of All That Remains, I've seen them twice in concert! They put on an awesome show, R.I.P Oli Herbert!
How did I forget about this banger and this band? Its been years!
There's just 2 verses and a pre-chorus before the chorus. It starts with the "i could see it as you turned to stone..."
Philip Labonte is such a good vocalist and has only gotten better throughout the years. 🤘🏻
Tattered on my sleeve, Fuck Love, This Calling, and Now Let Them Tremble are some more bangers from this beautiful band!
Tattered on my sleeve goes so hard, that and passion are their best songs imo.
This Calling, Six, What If I Was Nothing, Hold On, No Knock, For You, Open Grave are all great songs by All That Remains.
They just released these past couple months 2 new songs with new drummer bassist and lead guitarist and they're insaneeeeeeee. Rip oli Herbert so glad I got to meet and hang with him such a genuine regular dude he was in the crowd w us after they played watching other bands just as a fan of music and just acted like he knew us lol
this calling and the last time, awesome songs! You should try listening them!
Man. This song really brings me back to my late teenage years.
Good reaction
Fall of Ideals, Overcome, and For We Are Many are 3 albums that absolutely made me fall in love with metalcore. Basically this band in general
Some of the people all of the time is one not very popular but one I think you'd still very much enjoy.
PLEASE CHECK OUT MORE ALL THAT REMAINS!!!! 🤘
This is one heck of a blast from the past. Blasted this song all the time in high school. Love the reaction!
I remember listening to this song during the Covid pandemic. Two Weeks to flatten the curve.
R.I.P. Oli, best guitarist ever!
This made my day... So happy you got to All that Remains! Would LOVE to see you react to more of these guys!
Legitimately LOVE seeing you get so excited over this banger!
They really had some bangers back in the day. A big name in the mid-2000's new wave of American heavy metal. The song they did for one of the Saw films, This Calling, is a certified banger for sure.
All That Remains kicks ass, If you like them I suggest you might like the band Trivium as well. The song "Rip the Heart from your Hate" comes to mind.
Two weeks, not alone, this calling. My top 3 favorite songs by these guys, they have been for years.
This calling is my favorite All that Remains song
Note that this came out at the tail-end of the era of shortening songs for T.V., so this is not the song as intended. Basically the guitar solo, and build up to the end was cut. All That Remains guitar solos are notoriously short, so why they cut it at all is a mystery.
The fall of ideals is one of the best albums ever
Went to their 20th anniversary concert of that album. So sick live.
@@chadnelson1150as did I.. that show is so fucking rad!! 🤘
Your little happy beeps and sounds are so cute!😍
One of my favorit bands, great reactions, 🤘🤘🤘🤘
They're recording a new album right now! These guys are amazing!
This part of the song repeats.
And still you feel like the loneliness
Is better replaced by this
I don't believe it this way
And I can see the fear in your eyes
I've seen it materialize
Growing stronger each day
I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
Don't leave, don't give up on me
Two weeks and you ran away
I remember don't lie to me
You couldn't see that it was not that way
Swear I never gave up on you
2 weeks always gives me chills. I agree with everyone saying to review this calling also
All that remains you gotta go down that rabbit hole and listen too This Calling , Six , The Air That I Breath , Not Alone, The Deepest Gray all good all our a must.
Hell yeah! Wonderfull choice, this band is phenomenal. :)
The Air That I Breathe has been a life long motivator in hard times for me. even without needing to react. definitely check that one out.
React to “this calling” by all that remains.Thats another killer song🔥
This song helped me a lot when I was in sober living. We miss you Oli! 🤘
Yes, they’re amazing. Seen them live multiple. Never disappoint. Super chill band to meet. Check out “This calling” next time 🤘
Just liked 501. This is one of my all time favorite bands.
We tried playing but it was so fast we couldn't kudos to oli herbert the greatest goat....
Should check out some bullet for my Valentine
Tears don't fall
Your betrayal
Bittersweet memories
Another banger that I personally love alot is Whispers(I hear you) by All That Remains . Perfect mix of harsh and beautiful cleans by Phil
Not bad for having a "failed musician" as their lead singer.
😂😂😂😂 if you know you know.
Need to listen to "this calling" and "six"...absolute bangers!!!
This entire album was awesome and still is.
All that remains this calling was on the SAW movie. I think Killswitch Engage was too.
All that remains are amazingggggg, keep them coming ❤
Rest in peace Oli you are truely missed brother.
keep up the amazing work. the weak willed, the waiting one, stand up, asking too much, what if i was nothing, this probably won't end well, madness, for you, hold on, for we are many, victory lap
Love all that remains. My now wife got me four of their cds when we first started dating due to my love for them. Unfortunately have not seen them in concert yet but here's to hoping!!
This Calling & Six are on my perma-bangers playlist 🤘🏻🔥🍻
Phil is so based!
Brings back such memories
saw them in 2009 or 2010 at a tiny venue called the masquerade in Atlanta while in the military , awesome show, they were the headliner i believe, and lacuna coil was there as well, can't remember the other 2 bands at that show, also saw alesana at the same venue lol good times
Oh shit i had forgotten about this song! 🤯 i only really remembered "Hold On" which i love, but havent heard in some time. This song i liked but it kind of got lost to time as some songs do 😭
"What If I Was Nothing" is one of the greatest ballads ever written, you should really check it out
My fav song
These guys went so fucking hard back in the day
One of those bands where you need albums and not single tracks. The Fall of Ideals and Overcome are two of the best.

Love your energy 👌
This isn’t power metal. It’s metalcore.
Malaysia New Song Before Trending 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤❤❤❤

RIP Oli, sad day when I found out we lost him
I Like their song:What if I was Nothing….All Songs are good!🤟
The comparison to Power Rangers theme song is pretty fucken legendary haha.
I haven't heard this in so long! Me and my friends used to blast this album in our trucks and act like maniacs. Tattered On My Sleeve, Six, Weak Willed are some good ones to check out from All That Remains
There is definitely a Chorus. Pay more attention. Lol. The song is like mostly repeated Chorus.
Hey Rachel.
Awsome reaction as usual.
Would love to see a reaction to The Ghost Inside - Aftermath.
Think you will love it alot and the back story behind that song is truly....mind blowing.
Can't wait to see it.
(Hint hint, nudge nudge 😂)

song definitely has a chorus lol. and its in a pretty traditional format for most rock/metal songs.
Any song off the Fall of Ideals album is a banger.
No way, my favorite band!
RIP OLI
Two weeks music video is a great video to recap!
Also check out soilwork / in flames!

😂😂
This calling.. Nothing without you
And you should have heard the studio version, the solo is longer and more intense 🤩🤩
It's sounds like two different songs playing at the same time.
Great band and an awesome song. Also I like your reference to the power rangers i was also a big fan of them when I was growing up. Go dragonzord
One of the best "Noices" in the biz
Six and Broken are great songs by them.
I love that im seeing this post 2 weeks after "two weeks" was posted lmao
new to your channel! funny asf and love how geeked out you get💀
Six, This Calling, What if I was Nothing, Air that I breathe are all good songs as well
ATR is just so good and badass
Oli Herbert
R. I. P. 🕊️🎸❣️✨
And in my opinion they were the best when jeanne was in the band. She was their best bassist
same first song for me i love all that remains you should defnitely check out a lot more by them!!!
