Just turned 32yo in February 2024, I don't think people realize how great of an era the 2000's was for music (both metal and pop/rap). When I go back and listen to the music I grew up with, I realize that this era of music has a lot of staying power just like previous era's did. I think metal still looks very promising because bands are evolving and pushing the genre forward, wish I could say the same for the drivel that passes for pop music these days lol (guess people will listen to anything lol). It's just interesting to look back and reflect sometimes now that I'm getting a little older, it makes me appreciate the Millennial era of music more. This music is timeless imo.

I was a fan LONG before Timcast!... Phil needs his own show at this point!... smart guy!...I think most people just tune in for Phil at this point, he's relatable, down to earth, and takes a stand!
First song by All That Remains I heard was This Calling just about a year ago. Still find myself going back to that song, for not only a smooth and calming solo in an otherwise hardcore song, but also the song overall. When I finally get back to an actual video by the band I find out the guitarist has passed away. I'm sorry for your loss All That Remains, and I would love to pass this love to his family as well if I could. His metal lives forever. Thanks to you, he's immortalized on sites such as UA-cam.
I remember the first time I listened to this song on the radio back in 2008. I was with some friends playing Left 4 Dead and out of nowhere this song came out on the radio. Thanks to this song I found ALL THAT REMAINS
Lol. I first heard them while watching a compilation of L4D hunter gameplay on the old UA-cam, with the star rating. I think Whispers was my first track to hear. Still my favorite.
@@will7953 can't go wrong with The Fall Of Ideals. Im 26 and still blast this album everywhere I go. The song that got my attention from that album was that catchy intro from Not Alone back in 2009
I always listen to music when I game, and I sometimes associate a song with the game I played when I first heard it. Sometimes I hear a song and immediately get into the mood to play the game that I link it to in my head lol.
Just saw them perform live in a concert, and wow... I was on cloud nine! 🙌 "Two Weeks" is one of those tracks I listen to every day, but seeing it performed live was next level. The crowd was electric, the energy was wild, and those riffs sent chills through me. Honestly, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish!
I'd like to start by saying that I have never researched/looked into the reason that you guys wrote this song; I am a firm believer in the idea that all music exists to evoke a unique response in the listener that is individual to them. That said, I'd like to share a part of its unique message to me if you will allow. One of the closest people in the world to me decided to commit suicide several years ago. This song, to me, is the story of what i wish i could have told him beforehand. I don't imagine that many people see it the same way, but for me, this is a very powerful song. I thank you guys for what you do; never forget how you can effect people in ways that you may have never imagined that you could.
It's been 2 years since you wrote this little outdated but: I'm sorry for your loss I can't imagine what you've gone through Ps:I recommend listening to letters to a dead friend by the plot in you you may not like it but the meaning behind it is powerful
Music is something that can heal anything and everything. I may not know you but I love you buddy and I’m sorry you lost someone like that. Remember the best thing we can do for the loved ones we have lost is to live our life to the fullest potential like they would want for us.
I looked up to Oli when I was 16 and just started guitar and I learned a lot from watching his play. Rip man. You influenced many and won’t be forgotten.
I am here because I learned they are touring with Megadeth and I had no idea who they were. Now that I hear it I do remember hearing it. I also remember why I forgot about it hahah. too poppy for me. will be a fun tour though. who is oli?
Thanks for the nostalgia with the music choice. Also make sure you keep an eye on your gaps, clearances and tolerances in the design. A little too much room is better than not enough.
Oli Herbert is still one of the greatest 2000s metal guitarists to this day man could absolutely shread like no ones business, I saw them live 3 times during their first 3 albums that was prime metalcore baby!

I still love this song. The way the chorus is so many words and he flows threw it effortlessly and i know it's rushed but it doesn't seem rushed. The enunciation is on point.
I remember hearing this song for the first time back in middle school and hearing it again now after so many years brings back so many memories, it’s funny how music can be time machines and let us replay those memories just by hearing it.

Who knew a song years ago in high school that I'd play to rock out and lift weights to would years later take on a whole other meaning as I've taken on responsibility of a wife and family, bringing tears to my eyes in the process.

I was a fan LONG before Timcast!... Phil needs his own show at this point!... smart guy!...I think most people just tune in for Phil at this point, he's relatable, down to earth, and takes a stand!
Kiss ass
I decided to come here, take a trip down old memory lane from my high school days, because I just saw him on Timcast lol.
Spent the past 14 years trying to find this song again 🥲 Life is complete. Thank you Google voice ❤
Excellent all round. His voice has so many elements. His non scream is insane spot on too. Great players. Wow
Yes, a really consistent band.
@James Black yes they did. Two weeks and Forever in Your Hands.
Us metal heads and musicians need to live on for these musicians who have passed. It’s our time to shine
Time to carry the torch and let the world know about our great genre

Hearing about Oli's passing is like a gut punch.
gilgamesh10 or a kick in the balls
Broke my damn heart
Same. I met him years back. Such a kind hearted person.
And the wills have spoken, you were too good for this plane. And you must rock amongst the Gods!!!
It's been 2 years since you wrote this little outdated but: I'm sorry for your loss I can't imagine what you've gone through
Ps:I recommend listening to letters to a dead friend by the plot in you you may not like it but the meaning behind it is powerful
Music is something that can heal anything and everything. I may not know you but I love you buddy and I’m sorry you lost someone like that. Remember the best thing we can do for the loved ones we have lost is to live our life to the fullest potential like they would want for us.
I remember when this song first released on myspace XD WAAAAAY back then.
same even now
I looked up to Oli when I was 16 and just started guitar and I learned a lot from watching his play.
Rip man. You influenced many and won’t be forgotten.
Whos here because oli had the lead riffs down!! Completely complementary of the song while shredding!!! Rip oli you were a great influence 🙏
I am here because I learned they are touring with Megadeth and I had no idea who they were. Now that I hear it I do remember hearing it. I also remember why I forgot about it hahah. too poppy for me. will be a fun tour though.
who is oli?
This song is amazing! My favorite!
No fucking way? This is the type hardcorw/metalcore? I like. These new hardcore playlists and bands i hear dont do this for me
Very true!
what i can you cant
I woke up with this song in my head
Its a great song
fatroc33 it happens .....
Funny i go to sleep with this song
I’m sorry
I don’t think this song will ever get old
Thanks for the nostalgia with the music choice. Also make sure you keep an eye on your gaps, clearances and tolerances in the design. A little too much room is better than not enough.
Great Song!!!!! I love him. Greetings from Switzerland
Oli,The rev, and chester are making a god band in heaven
They got one. Paul grey is their bassist
Amen to that
Jimi on that guitar tho if hadn’t already formed his own band
Cliff Burton is welcoming them and now are making tours across the so-called Kingdom of God
This gave me chills.
Chills every time. RIP, Oli.
Oli Herbert is still one of the greatest 2000s metal guitarists to this day man could absolutely shread like no ones business, I saw them live 3 times during their first 3 albums that was prime metalcore baby!
Lyrics
And you neglected I called you out don't please
I said we're stronger than this now
You resurrected mistakes years past it seemed
And they exist to still haunt you
And still you feel like the loneliness
Is better replaced by this
I don't believe it this way
And I can see the fear in your eyes
I've seen it materialize
Growing stronger each day
I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
Don't leave, don't give up on me
Two weeks and you ran away
I remember don't lie to me
You couldn't see that it was not that way
Swear I never gave up on you
I wanted nothing but for that trust again
And brick by brick you would take it
You feared of phantoms and none exist but you
You still saw fit to destroy it
And still you feel like the loneliness
Is better replaced by this
I don't believe it this way
And I can see the fear in your eyes
I've seen it materialize
Growing stronger each day
I could see it as you turned to stone
Still clearly I can hear you say
Don't leave, don't give up on me
Two weeks and you ran away
I remember don't lie to me
You couldn't see that it was not that way
Swear I never gave up on you

Keep playing till the day you die!!! Rock on homie!!!
These guys were my musical influence, what made me buy my first guitar.
This was the first song by all that remains that got me hooked on the band. Recommended by a friend
Still one of the best metal songs of all time.
This song and “my will be done” by unearth single handedly got me into any metal with screaming vocals . And I love metal to this day. 2024 anyone? I love you all

Listening to this song over and over again :3
I've listened to this song since it came out and never knew a fraction of the words until today when I turned on the CC. Was always mesmerized by the drums and guitar.
I still love this song. The way the chorus is so many words and he flows threw it effortlessly and i know it's rushed but it doesn't seem rushed. The enunciation is on point.
2023 this song is still an absolute masterpiece ❤
😀
I remember hearing this song for the first time back in middle school and hearing it again now after so many years brings back so many memories, it’s funny how music can be time machines and let us replay those memories just by hearing it.
I sure do miss those days.. it was a great time in music, so many great concerts and as you said, memories. Hope all is well brother.
This song was on Rockband on the PS3 when I was in college. We played the shit outta this song.
Picked this cd up from a friend one rainy day I was driving through the mountains with my x. She said this was just about the only band we mutually liked. Needless to say it stayed in the CD player till we broke up a a year later. Good memories.
Still one of the best metalcore songs out there💪🏼
straight up melodeath no cap
Only the gods know how much I've listened to this when I was 14, how was I able to forget it...

Fall of ideals was Go-to album 10 years ago...times have changed but music hasn't, its just developed more so
I love this song by All That Remains
This was the song that got me into metal. I was in middle school and was flipping through radio stations when this came on. I had avoided metal my whole life because it just sounded like loud noise, but this song opened my eyes and I am forever grateful
One of the the best songs I heard in years
Very inspiring guitar riffs, sad to hear he passed. He definitely will be missed.
Been listening to all that remains since forever man...memories
loved watching these guys back in high school and early 2000's.... that traditional grip always amazed me with how hard he hits!! even looks MORE METAL!!!
I love this song!!, When I'm reading a book and it gets to a battle scene I play this and it just works!! This song is the best for a bad-ass fight scene!!
Love this song.. also the idea of this music video would make a great scene in a movie
OriginalDarkMew right I agree
this whole fucking album was stellar
Had to check this out again after seeing Phil on timcastirl, guess I’ll have to check out more of their stuff now.

Damn this song brings memory. As a Puerto Rican that went to an all black and Hispanic school community, it was hard to follow different music other than rap hip hop and reggeaton. So few that listened to this music ima glad I was one of them.
Who knew a song years ago in high school that I'd play to rock out and lift weights to would years later take on a whole other meaning as I've taken on responsibility of a wife and family, bringing tears to my eyes in the process.
Didn't know about All That Remains before Timcast. It's been a minute since I was into Metal, but this has rekindled it for me!
Way to kill it, Phil!
Loved your comment, I knew the band years before Tim.
Such a great album.
Timcast turned me on to your music…best thing ever!
My first song from this this band was Six

2023 and I'm still playing this on repeat. RIP Oli
I was always here bub. I never left, but I can't stay near you when you fear reality and cant shift towards what you need to. It's just not how I live. I make the life changes needed for myself and mine!! Maybe illbe here when you reach the turning point in your life for whats right instead of unclarity.
