Just turned 32yo in February 2024, I don't think people realize how great of an era the 2000's was for music (both metal and pop/rap). When I go back and listen to the music I grew up with, I realize that this era of music has a lot of staying power just like previous era's did. I think metal still looks very promising because bands are evolving and pushing the genre forward, wish I could say the same for the drivel that passes for pop music these days lol (guess people will listen to anything lol). It's just interesting to look back and reflect sometimes now that I'm getting a little older, it makes me appreciate the Millennial era of music more. This music is timeless imo.

First song by All That Remains I heard was This Calling just about a year ago. Still find myself going back to that song, for not only a smooth and calming solo in an otherwise hardcore song, but also the song overall. When I finally get back to an actual video by the band I find out the guitarist has passed away. I'm sorry for your loss All That Remains, and I would love to pass this love to his family as well if I could. His metal lives forever. Thanks to you, he's immortalized on sites such as UA-cam.
No matter how many time I hear this the chorus gets more haunting, and epic with each listen. 'I can see it as you turn to stone, still clearly I can hear you say, don't leave don't give up on me Two weeks since you ran away.'

Damn this song brings memory. As a Puerto Rican that went to an all black and Hispanic school community, it was hard to follow different music other than rap hip hop and reggeaton. So few that listened to this music ima glad I was one of them.
Thanks for the nostalgia with the music choice. Also make sure you keep an eye on your gaps, clearances and tolerances in the design. A little too much room is better than not enough.
Who knew a song years ago in high school that I'd play to rock out and lift weights to would years later take on a whole other meaning as I've taken on responsibility of a wife and family, bringing tears to my eyes in the process.

I'd like to start by saying that I have never researched/looked into the reason that you guys wrote this song; I am a firm believer in the idea that all music exists to evoke a unique response in the listener that is individual to them. That said, I'd like to share a part of its unique message to me if you will allow. One of the closest people in the world to me decided to commit suicide several years ago. This song, to me, is the story of what i wish i could have told him beforehand. I don't imagine that many people see it the same way, but for me, this is a very powerful song. I thank you guys for what you do; never forget how you can effect people in ways that you may have never imagined that you could.
It's been 2 years since you wrote this little outdated but: I'm sorry for your loss I can't imagine what you've gone through Ps:I recommend listening to letters to a dead friend by the plot in you you may not like it but the meaning behind it is powerful
Music is something that can heal anything and everything. I may not know you but I love you buddy and I’m sorry you lost someone like that. Remember the best thing we can do for the loved ones we have lost is to live our life to the fullest potential like they would want for us.

Swear I never gave up on you

You still saw fit to destroy it

These guys were my musical influence, what made me buy my first guitar.
Just saw them perform live in a concert, and wow... I was on cloud nine! 🙌 "Two Weeks" is one of those tracks I listen to every day, but seeing it performed live was next level. The crowd was electric, the energy was wild, and those riffs sent chills through me. Honestly, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish!
Just watched you on Timcast. That was a great podcast
Same
Glad to see more musicians going on Timcast. Definitely lets me know more and more are still sane
Fire Ian!
Tim needs to get Mark Tremonti!
Seeing Phil on one of my favorite podcasts on a regular basis now reminds me how long ago this song came out..used to blair this song in iraq
i feel old. i first heard this in 2009/10. It inspired me to pick up a pair of drumsticks at 16, still playing at 28. Thanks ATR!
Keep playing till the day you die!!! Rock on homie!!!
I've listened to this song since it came out and never knew a fraction of the words until today when I turned on the CC. Was always mesmerized by the drums and guitar.
I don’t think this song will ever get old
Us metal heads and musicians need to live on for these musicians who have passed. It’s our time to shine
Time to carry the torch and let the world know about our great genre

Back in my 20s yall played in gainesville florida with maylene and the sons of disaster, to this day one of the best concerts and mosh pits this town has seen!
I love this song!!, When I'm reading a book and it gets to a battle scene I play this and it just works!! This song is the best for a bad-ass fight scene!!
I still love this song. The way the chorus is so many words and he flows threw it effortlessly and i know it's rushed but it doesn't seem rushed. The enunciation is on point.
2022 and still listening just a great band
2024 🥳🥳
Damn this song brings memory. As a Puerto Rican that went to an all black and Hispanic school community, it was hard to follow different music other than rap hip hop and reggeaton. So few that listened to this music ima glad I was one of them.
Been jamming this for almost a decade, just turned 26.
56 and still lovin' it!
Fuck yeah brother (:
Been listening to all that remains since forever man...memories
This was the first song by all that remains that got me hooked on the band. Recommended by a friend
First song I ever heard from these guys. Still among their best work. Rest In Peace Oli
R.I.P.😕 Oli Herbert.
Weird choice of emoji but ok

Oh man where has the time gone? When this came out I was an active duty Marine doing patrols in Iraq. Now I’m a dad chilling at home! Still miss those days and this band!
Didn't know about All That Remains before Timcast. It's been a minute since I was into Metal, but this has rekindled it for me!
Way to kill it, Phil!
Loved your comment, I knew the band years before Tim.
So many still don't know ATR...Oli got me started, and when I met him, he was literally the most gracious, genuine, amazing dude to a punk kid. I wanted to be him when I grew up...still loving it man RIP
Now 2019 and I'm still listening this one of my favorite song..
same here bro
This song and “my will be done” by unearth single handedly got me into any metal with screaming vocals . And I love metal to this day. 2024 anyone? I love you all
Listening to this song over and over again :3
One of the the best songs I heard in years
I love this song by All That Remains
What a memories!. I started listen ATR when I was in middle school. The music gave me a boost for doing exercise. I was with a broken heart for a girl that no corresponded me.
Hearing about Oli's passing is like a gut punch.
gilgamesh10 or a kick in the balls
Broke my damn heart
Same. I met him years back. Such a kind hearted person.
Oli,The rev, and chester are making a god band in heaven
They got one. Paul grey is their bassist
Amen to that
Jimi on that guitar tho if hadn’t already formed his own band
Cliff Burton is welcoming them and now are making tours across the so-called Kingdom of God
This gave me chills.
Still one of my favorite songs ever.
The song that made me fall in love with ATR in middle school🤘🖤
Spent the past 14 years trying to find this song again 🥲 Life is complete. Thank you Google voice ❤
Very inspiring guitar riffs, sad to hear he passed. He definitely will be missed.
Omfg , omg man. I’ve been looking for this song for 5 years. I’ve tried all the lyrics websites, I just couldn’t remember what they were. I’m so ... no words great song
This takes me back!
I'm grateful for seeing this band perform this song back in 2018 in Pittsburgh. Hopefully one day they come to LA.
Love this song.. also the idea of this music video would make a great scene in a movie
OriginalDarkMew right I agree
Still love this song as much as the 1st time I heard it.
.
And the lead singer is fine as fuck..forget his name
Sick song, everything is dope in it guitars drums vocals etc
Still one of the best metal songs of all time.
I forget how I was introduced to this song a year ago, but its been playing in my head non-stop ever since. I wish I discovered it sooner.
Great Song!!!!! I love him. Greetings from Switzerland
I looked up to Oli when I was 16 and just started guitar and I learned a lot from watching his play.
Rip man. You influenced many and won’t be forgotten.
It's been 2 years since you wrote this little outdated but: I'm sorry for your loss I can't imagine what you've gone through
Ps:I recommend listening to letters to a dead friend by the plot in you you may not like it but the meaning behind it is powerful
Music is something that can heal anything and everything. I may not know you but I love you buddy and I’m sorry you lost someone like that. Remember the best thing we can do for the loved ones we have lost is to live our life to the fullest potential like they would want for us.
These two just walk around like normal people. Y'all rock. Thank ya
