In addition to new capability enhancing features like rear-wheel drive, there are also two new available trims. Explorer now offers a commanding, no-compromise hybrid as well as the most powerful Explorer to date, the all-new Explorer ST. With 400 horsepower, 415 lb.-ft. of torque and top speed of 143 mph, an ST brings the adventure to you.
Once you’re inside the completely redesigned Explorer, you’ll notice an array of available amenities. Interior attributes like tri-Diamond perforated leather seating surfaces, a hexagon carbon-fiber-lined front dash and a precision-engineered center console with a rotary gear shift dial fill the cabin with a refined and dignified look.
As part of the redesign, Explorer now offers two all-new high-powered trims. The Explorer ST has an athletic look that’s matched by a powerful 400-hp engine* and driving dynamics engineered by the Ford Performance team. The Explorer Hybrid packs a similar punch, it is a no-compromise hybrid SUV that’s engineered for big adventures. Not only is it the only hybrid in its class that can tow 5,000 pounds, it’s also fully off-road capable. The rear-wheel-drive model also offers an EPA-estimated range of more than 500 miles between fill-ups.
Explorer helps you make the most of your next big adventure with the addition of an all-new rear-wheel-drive platform and your choice between four powerful engines. And with the ability to tow up to 5,600 lbs., when properly equipped, the Explorer won’t be slowed down, not even with a hefty camper in tow.
When you have to get things done, the Explorer has your back. The combination of adaptable seating for up to seven and an available Cargo Management System means you can get your star player and her friends to practice without a hitch.

I love when this guy throws shade at other vehicles
No one better than Paul Z.... He's the definition of a Product Specialist. Very well done! Nice camera work Jay.
Paul does an excellent job with this fanatic looking Explorer. He takes us thru every aspect of the vehicle and leaves nothing out, Great job, great vehicle.
Excellent review! Very professional. You definitely know everything about the new 2020 Explorer.
We just bought a 2019 Ford Explorer. My dad have 2010 Ford F-150 Lariat and 2009 Ford Shelby GT 500
Glad to see other people are starting to show up to the channel!
Love the detail in the review. Didn't find this kind of detail even in the automotive journalist's videos.
Wow Paul, looks like "Team FORD" has a winning coach - You! Excellent presentation.
Awesome video, Paul 🙌👊
Looking forward to watching the 2020 Explorer ST walk around!
Really informative, thank you much and you guys are funny I love listening to you guys
Great video, Paul!
Dude it is one of the best review of explorer 2020 that I have ever seen thesedays. Thank you!
Thank you for watching! :)
Good gob bro loved this vid
Nice video on the 2020 Explorer Paul
Great walk around my friend! Now that's how you build value!
Best walkarounds in the business.
Good job Paul
Damn, that's hot! The Explorer isn't bad either ;)
I love this guy he’s the best car reviewer I’ve seen.
Nate Krabill he’s def one of the best
Great job, one of the most detailed reviews. One nit, the kick motion to open the tailgate does not have to wave side-to-side, just kick straight forward and back.
It just feels more like magic with the wave :-P Thanks for watching! :)
Bro you killed this..
Is that mini console between the rear seats removable? Nice review, thanks!
Good job paul 👍👍👍👍
Wish this had USB in the third rows though.
Just bought a 2020 Explorer limited for $52K😀
Had the pleasure of driving one today a Limited only thing i didn't like was the when i went to accelerate there wqs a huge delay between pushing the pedal and the car actually moving
Love the video. But... "Ford thought of everything"... 😂 it would have been nice if they actually did (see the 2020 Palisade). Still.. good car.
the side of the road will be looking great soon.
Can you please review ST too please
Which Explorer gets the best mpg? The Hybrid or the 2.3L? Thank you for your video. Roger
How do you turn on the interior lights so when u open door at night u can see
I'm waiting to see a review of the Explorer XLT with bench seating in 2nd row.
We will knock one out as soon as we get one, Appa. Thanks for watching!
Alright Hoss, where can I get that slick red polo?
very nice nogear knob spacious he didn't show the spare tyre the price how much I like the explorer
Just to correct you, VW already has been doing the door handle unlock for 2 years on the Atlas. No patent there. I love competition as we all benefit but I'm not too impressed with behind the 3rd row seat mediocre storage and that third row seating position doesn't look comfortable to me (too low and knees are too bent). Only good for kids maybe. Lastly, personal preference but I like my touch screens built in. Anybody can stick an ipad to their dash. Just looks cheap imo.
Ford BEST BESSSTTT))))))))
Do a review on the ST or Platinum. I prefer a V6.
We plan to do both, Fidel. The ST that came in was a special order and the customer picked it up that day but we have another en-route :) Stay tuned and thanks for watching!
wow tough to beat paul in a car review
Has Ford clarified why the 2nd row bench is not standard on the XLT and requires upgrading to a package (not available as a stand alone option)? If I have zero interest in a 3rd row but need comfortable seating for five adults, I feel Ford is making it difficult / more expensive to just have five comfortable seats in an Explorer.
Hi Anthony. We think it is because Ford continues to try and package the vehicles with the best value possible. The bench on XLT is available with the 202A package for a $495 add and the base MSRP with that included is $41,300. Quite a value considering it comes with the Ecoboost + 10 Speed, Standard 3rd Row seat, 8-Way Power Passenger Seats
, ActiveX™ Seating Material, Remote Start System , LED Fog Lamps, Power Liftgate, 8" LCD screen, Intelligent access and push button start, and more.
Don't like the 2.3 ecoboost because it's to loud while driving it and sounds like a mad bubble bee !!
how bout the said problems, errors on this 2020 model
3rd viewer from pak
How long the engine gonna last in what matters.. Ford is confused when it comes to building engines.
I have seen the 2020 Toyota Highlander and now the 2020 Ford explore. I would definitely say go with what will last which is the Highlander. Check it out People stats don’t lie
Over 300,000 miles on my Explorer!
Harley Jackson Two thumbs up for that
heavy breathing
Very ugly compared to previous model. Awesome options and power train choices but the front end is awful and the shape from the side. The previous model was much more aesthetically pleasing
Kia and Hyundai’s new 3rd rows are much better looking and much cheaper
Ford is the worst. Will break down after leaving the dealership.
Not!
Foh no it won't this vehicle is A+
You’ll break down after leaving your dealership because your so sad you didn’t buy a ford
