My one criticism is the command deck at the bow of the ship: even in navy vessels you often see the command deck is midship: one, so it isn't the first room to be breached in the direction it's traveling and two, for quicker commander access to all sections of the ship.
Other than that, this is a brilliant approach to complex structural design

you could easily have asymetric ships IRL too. all youd have to do is ensure that your thrust center is in the same line horizontally and vertically as the ships center of mass.

    • @corwyncorey3703

@@raffia16thblaze10 That ship, as an example, also implies space and atmospheric flight. Vtol don't have a purpose other than landing.
Asymmetry simply makes that way more complex. There's a reason all hard sci-fi authors use the "flying brick" concept, and fantasy sci-fi go with a less strict set of concepts.

Having VTOL on anything that hasn't a rocket shape and heavy is just fiction. Nobody will burn 1/4 of the world fuel stock to say hello with a spaceship 😆You want a spaceship to stay forever in Space, we first have to build a space station with factories in it, there is no other solution. A suggestion! When you get to the in game animation, mess with the camera FOV and sensor size. The issue with space is making big things feel big, as you're putting them in a void. Your asset is perfect, but I think some real wide angle lenses could accentuate how big it is.
