The older gentleman was so far off and grasping at straws….the song is clearly about a war veteran that lost literally everything after a land mine blew him up and he was only alive because he was hooked up to machines but he didn’t see the point and wanted to just die but couldn’t tell anyone that’s what he wanted
Lol for real. It's a deep song and video combination but really at face value. They're literally showing and telling what happened but so many people dig for metaphors
There is not one single metaphore in this song it's all literal. I hope they can examine themselves & I hope they listen to their patients better than they listen to music. May God save their patients from these people's these "therapists" presuppositions. He wasn't asleep in a coma he was wide awake in agony.
ok ok maybe "back in the womb that's much too real, but can't look forward to reveal"/birth is kinda a metaphor but it's just him describing what he literally feels.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻the lady was the only one (no pun intended) who got the song, not roasting but the older guy was reaching... it's a deep song but not as deep as you are diving ✌🏻
I grew up watching movies like Friday 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre ect. ect. No nightmares, no trauma or fears. One weekend “Johnny Got His Gun” was on. I watched it and it was the scariest thing I ever viewed. One came out a year or two later. My dad was a Vietnam veteran, so the movie and this view hits on several levels.
its about a WW1 vet who stepped on a landmine, losing his arms, legs, sight speech and hearing. He is literally trapped in his body and can only communicate with morse code. "Now the world is gone and Im just one..." meaning everything is gone in his life. The doctors thought he was a vegetable till they figured out he was using morse code to communicate. Johnny Got His Gun is the movie the clips came from.
Older guy wasnt even in the ROOM while this is being played... I can hear him say.. "this patient is a product of your profession, not mine".. wow, dude you disappoint me.
This song and video asks a lot of very valid questions like why do we even have war to begin with because every war ends the same way....people sitting around a table discussing peace,so why not skip the death and destruction and just go to the table....Another question this video brings up is Euthanansia....the morality and ethics of whether or not it should or should not be allowed in our society
Exactly, just like Hippocratic Oath of do no harm. But, if keeping someone in a condition of darkness and pain, when the only way you can alleviate someone of it is their "merciful death" then I see it. But, all these idiots finding ways to off themselves because of trend or disappointment or left at the alter, is a precedence I would not like see realized..
@@TT-Tuesdays you don't think the title might lead people to level these critiics at the one posting it? fair enough it doesn't say 'therapistS' but it doesn't clarify that the others aren't or which one is the therapist..
Wow that older guy must think he’s the smartest guy in the world. Type of person that drives a Tesla in the fast lane going 60mph with a line of people behind trying to pass. So self absorbed and non understanding.
I have ptsd and these people right here are why you have to be DAMNED careful whom you allow to help you. Wow how any of them is a licensed therapist is beyond me.
@@TT-Tuesdays Im glad as theyve no idea what they are watching and listening to, as its pretty clear god help which ever one is the real therapist and their patients as they are fucked.
@@TT-Tuesdaysah, I see that I wrote it wrong. I meant the man with the silver cup and the blue straw. We had Tervis like that where I worked. He didn’t seem to listen to the song. I realize it’s a first listen, but I think the video helps clarify what the song is about. He sounded incorrect on every aspect of the song. I think I’d be extremely frustrated as his patient. I mean, really listen to his analysis.
That older dude needs to go back to college or take up burger flipping for a job. Listening to people and figuring out what is going on is not something he does well.
Proper ventilators weren't ready for prime-time yet, but the concept of making a new hole for a breathing tube has been around for a while, at least. This poor bastard's lungs still work on their own, unfortunately, that's why he's holding his breath and wishing for death. The other life support bits, like feeding tubes and early transfusions were definitely around.
The woman is the only one who pretty much got it. I don’t know why this song is so hard to grasp for so many reviewers.
Well the audio from the movie can be hard to discern from the thrash lol

He is definitely an experiment. That's what makes it horrifying because I'm sure this has been tried at some point in war or a horrific accident.
The woman is the only one here that I would accept as a therapist !! ... I think music do a better job to heal a soul than therapists!
She's the only therapist

I'm not trying to be mean, but I was infantry before my injuries & we tend to be very straightforward and direct. It can come off as harsh.

EXACTLY, he was way off on this reaction

@@sketchtherapy1218 the song is clearly self explanatory, the older guy in the video was so random 🤦♀️ 🤣

That Lady gets it
The older guy definitely doesn't need to be in his profession
he's a dentist
He's not working on my teeth.

I think literal is the way to interperet - but it can realte with many meanings to others...
I HAD A STROK IN 2026 THIS SONG HEPED ME RECOVER IM A METALHEAD ALREADY

That older guy must be a terrible therapist. He seems to hear only what he wants to hear

No it was just for fun, finally someone who doesn't critique every little detail and just has fun

HOW the HELL can the older guy help people?
why ive ditched several therapists
I wish every high school age male would read ‘Johnny got his gun’, watch ‘Born on the 4th of July’, and listen to ‘Born in the USA’.

FYI, this is NOT a true story

“Selfish song” ? WTF?
