Never comment on UA-cam, but dropping a comment to appreciate your content. Been playing Since FM 2005 (PSP) and never learnt as much as with this series of videos. You’re great mate
Fletch, I've just binged all of your videos and you've got my mind racing witth ideas. I've tinkered with opposition instructions before, with player instructions as well, a club DNA and indeed with profiling players and tactical flexibility, but I never knew how to put it all together into a coherent philosophy, or "my intention" as you put it. The tactical board idea is GENIUS, it's so good for visualising the duals on the pitch. I've been playing this game since the 90s and I've never felt so excited to fire up the game and implement my own version of this. Thank you! 2 questions: How long does it take you to finish a season when you play a single player game? You've hinted in your other videos about how you shut down the game from the 75th-ish minute (depending on the game state), would you consider putting a video together explaining the thought process behind that?
Haven't played a single player game in a good while but it takes ages honestly. The AI is also way too easy to beat so don't have to go into mad plans every game. Yeah I will do an in-game video on how I do it. thanks so much for the nice words.
@@FletchTheSauce I'm not surprised you find it easy with the amount of thought and detail you put into it! Thanks for that though, love to hear about how different people play this game.
id like to see you draft your perfect squad from scratch, eg. what key attributes you look for, for your specific team. including GKs, and also do you have any go too PPMs or ones to avoid?
Just wondering what sort of games you would change the width of your side for or do you always stay fairly narrow? Ps Thanks again for these videos- They are class
@@wizardclintx1900 the tougher the opponent is in the middle the more narrow I want to go. A team who has crazy wingers not so much. Weirdly the height of my center backs will determine how narrow I can play. Because narrow invites crosses naturally. The engine seems to favour narrow but if my formation lacks width will go fairly wide.
Love your videos - quick question. How do feel about playing players with lower attributes in high skilled player roles? I’ve struggled with this concept. It seems like you’re okay with having lower attributes player in roles like BPD, Segundo Volante, etc. I have seemed to have better success using roles like FB and CM, but feel like I am missing something.
@@chrisjames3924 I do think differently to this, I've heard people say but the role is complicated because loads of instructions. Bad players need instructing because too much freedom is bad too. BPD is just so good I will make a bad on the ball center back do it Volantes are often just needed for overall attacking strat so might put in a not ideal player. I do customise the personal instructions for each player to reduce their weaknesses but yeah as you mentioned... Some exceptions.
You said you like attacking mentality and then switch to standard if you're winning. Do you still start with attacking even when facing a clearly better team?
Do you have examples on how to play against better opponenets? Or like with an underdog in europe to win a champions league or at least challenge them.
Imo you will get more views if you improve your titles. This is too wordy and long, I can’t even see the whole title while browsing. “How the #1 FM draft player starts a save” would be a big improvement. If you’re worried about people questioning your credentials add it to the description or say it audibly at the start of the video.
@@stevefeak5696 yeah this title too wordy for sure. Not worried about getting more views, I would just like to have good titles. I just started with these titles and it took off a little.

Same for me this game goes so deep
Absolutely love your vids, mate. Keep it up!

over 60 or so. Played 14 different ones in 28 game season lol
