- The gospel is the declaration that Jesus is Messiah and Lord, and that gospel declares that the Story of Jesus completes the Story of Israel in a way that saves. This gospel counters the shallow and superficial gospeling today that reduces the gospel to four simple points and eliminates the confession that Jesus is Messiah and Lord.
Contemporary evangelicals have built a 'salvation culture' but not a 'gospel culture.' Evangelicals have reduced the gospel to the message of personal salvation. This book makes a plea for us to recover the old gospel as that which is still new and still fresh. The book stands on four arguments: that the gospel is defined by the apostles in 1 Corinthians 15 as the completion of the Story of Israel in the saving Story of Jesus; that the gospel is found in the Four Gospels; that the gospel was preached by Jesus; and that the sermons in the Book of Acts are the best example of gospeling in the New Testament. We can't change the gospel message just because we think that someone might abuse grace.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of "eternal life" to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel message.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation.
I love the book, but I don't think this video is doing it any favors.

The biblical way to be saved:
- Sincerely repent (feel godly sorrow/grief) for your own sins:

- Sincerely believe and put your faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ that He died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again the third day to save you from your sins:

- Sincerely call upon the name of the Lord (ask) for salvation:
(Romans 10:8-13 KJV, Matthew 12:37 KJV, Luke 18:13-14 KJV, and Psalm 145:18-19 KJV)
The fact that he said gospel over 10 times and never told anyone what it actually is, is really vexing. Also, for those of us that don't know, Rupert Murdoch a known wicked man owns "News Corp" which is the parent organization of "Zondervan" and also "HarperCollins" the publisher of the Satanic Bible.
How nice, you cited, so much scripture, but not one word from Jesus.
The one true gospel, can only be, what Christ declared it to be, not others.

• Secondly: What is the kingdom of God? Romans 14:17 KJB tells us what the kingdom of God is:
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; ➡️but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.⬅️ (Romans 14:17 KJB)
What Mark 1:14-15 is telling us is that the Lord Jesus was announcing that the kingdom of God was at hand and to acquire it you must repent and believe the gospel.
• Lastly: Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB exactly what the Lord Jesus told the disciples in Luke 18:32-34 KJB (and also Matthew 17:22-23 KJB)...
32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: 33 And they shall scourge him, and ➡️put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.⬅️ 34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. (Luke 18:32-34 KJB)
Verse 34 is very interesting and should be carefully understood, the disciples didn't know that what the Lord Jesus was telling them was the gospel. Just like many people today don't know that that's the gospel even though Paul tells us crystal clearly what the gospel is in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4... And we should definitely take heed to 2 Corinthians 4:3-5 KJB: 3 ➡️But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:⬅️ 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, ➡️lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.⬅️ 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. (2 Corinthians 4:3-5 KJB)

IS the gospel, as Christ says it is. Whenever you read the word, "gospel", it is as Jesus says it is, NOT, a bunch of other gospels thrown in. Why can't the simplicity of it, get through? Because, you are programmed, to write a term paper?
John the Baptist, declared the gospel first. Then Jesus, and Jesus says, what the gospel is, NOT YOU.

You might want to read Luke 18:32-34 KJB tied to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 plainly tells us what the gospel and even the Lord Jesus said it. There is no jumping through hoops trying to figure it out. And again Romans 14:17 KJB tells us what the kingdom of God is... And you also said "Whenever you read the word, "gospel", it is as Jesus says it is, NOT, a bunch of other gospels thrown in." So why did you use other gospels and books of the bible to try and prove your point?

If you can't take it straight from your Lord, and savior, you have a problem in the difference, between preaching, and teaching.
The gospel, as Christ declared it, is to be preached. All else, is teaching. NO OTHER declarations, about the gospel, can be the gospel, yet, in the current state of Christianity, that is the case. The gospel, from Christ, has become, a gospel, ABOUT Christ, to the delight of Satan. Who can surmise, when the true gospel, will be preached, enabling the end? Matthew 24:14
