@@lamasabachthani2132 Your questions have been answered many times out there. The short answer is, the Gospels provide 4 different perspectives for 4 types of audiences. Virtually everything the Gospels talk about was common knowledge among Christians in Israel (ponder this and connect some dots). They shared what they know with others to complete what others lacked. The Gospels came to record what all Christians knew, and the purpose was to have a document verified by others so that they could be read by everyone who came after those Christians died. In the New Testament there are four biographies of Jesus of Nazareth about his announcement of God’s Kingdom, his crucifixion, and his resurrection from the dead. Altogether they are called “the Gospel,” that is, the good news. But why are there four, and why do they differ in various details? The four New Testament Gospel accounts all come from the first generation of Jesus’ closest followers, preserving the testimony of his disciples. But each account was designed to emphasize different themes and claims about Jesus, so that the reader of all four narratives walks away with a much richer picture. In Luke 1:1-4 and John 20:30-31, the authors tell us they selected only some of the narratives and teachings of Jesus that were available among their sources. They also say that the stories have been arranged to persuade the reader that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and the risen Lord of all nations. In other words, the Gospel accounts are not simply an ancient version of security camera footage! The authors want us to accept their testimony about Jesus as truthful, but their purpose is not only to give us information about the past. They deeply believe that Jesus is alive, that he fulfilled the ancient story told in the Hebrew Scriptures, and that following him will change your life forever! The four Gospels are persuasive texts that invite you the reader to consider your own relationship to this Jesus. Love the illustrations! For me, one of the biggest issues is our understanding of the Gospel. When I left being a paramedic to be in ministry, I didn’t realize how many people misunderstand how the Bible applies to our lives! That’s why I have centered my channel on helping people understand the Bible in a practical, relevant way that keeps the true Gospel at the heart of every teaching.
The thing I most appreciate about your videos is that even if you're not a believer or a Christian you can still learn so much from them and be inspired by them. Keep up the good work!

@Joseph Paul Whether Jesus was omniscient while in human form is an open question as he "emptied himself" of some divine attributes in order to become man. (Philippians 2:7) That said, "not knowing the hour" doesn't mean what you think. The phrase comes from wedding language (which runs throughout the Gospels - Jesus' wedding to the Church is theme of the text). In first century custom, "no one knew the hour" of a wedding because it didn't official happen until the father of the bride said so. However, everyone did know the when the wedding was happening in reality because they had to plan ahead and travel to the place and so on. Thus, the text means that the authority to call the final judgment is reserved for the Father. It does not actually mean that Jesus doesn't have the knowledge of the date. I hope that helps.
Absolutely love these videos, such a wonderful aid on this spiritual journey. I'm loving the new styles of animation. So much hard work for such a noble purpose. God bless you all!

Love all of your work! Thank you to everyone at The Bible Project for bringing the Bible to LIFE and giving all of us a new, deeper understanding of God's Holy Word! Also, excellent podcast!! MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
The way of doing that is following him in his path: "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." (Mt 16:24-25) We love to forget about how it's the picking up of our crosses and walking all the way up to our death (having faith through the whole process in Jesus's promise) that we may find salvation. We forget to see how is the CRUCIFIED LORD the one that saves us, because it's by that very act that the veil is torn and the realm of the father is open to us by his divine mercy. Many Christians don't like the image of the crucified son of God (Crucifix) because they don't want to accept that we must go through that in a way in order to resurrect to be "the new creation", we like to see it as, "Jesus was resurrected" now we are cool, we can do whatever we want because we are saved just by "believing". Taking away any form of sacrifice and forgetting about the times when Jesus calls us to difficult times. He did resurrect and came to us in the glorified form to give us "PISTIS" (Faith) and faith doesn't only mean to believe, but to trust, and he wants us to trust that after this life if we follow him by taking up their crosses all the way to death, we will be glorified in him in the new creation.
@@flitzgerald7984 that's obvious (He is the omnipotent God), but he gave us instructions in the way to follow him in this earth, salvation itself is given by his grace and cannot be obtained with human actions, but to deny the teachings of "what it means to be a follower of Christ" is to not believe in his word.
It was Jesus who carried the cross and denied himself NOT US. The point of Mt 16:24-25 is that none of us will ever be able to do what only he can do! It was Jesus who carried the cross, laid down or lose his life so that in him we'll find life. God's criteria for righteousness is Jesus' perfect righteousness. Nothing less. See Matthew 5:48. Yes, there are sacrifices to be made as a believer of Christ but that's nothing compared to the ultimate sacrifice Jesus Christ himself paid at the cross of Calvary. Christianity is never really about the sacrifice we make (though there are many) but ultimately it's about the sacrifice we trust - Jesus Christ. So how do we know who is a follower/disciple of Christ? John 13:35 "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples IF YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER.” It's not by the sacrifice we make, not the cross we carry and definitely the life we lose. Jesus did ALL of that not US! What I have learned from my walk as a believer is that the people who tend to talk more about the sacrifice they make for God are usually the ones who seem to be more critical and concerned about how "other Christians" are doing instead of their personal walk with the Lord and they have failed to meet the very standards they impose on other Christians to live because they have lost sight of Christ and become self-righteous and judgemental just like the Pharisees and Sadducees. They become proud and fail to realize that they need God's grace as much as the people they're constantly critical about.
A De Leon That is not the point at all, Jesus tells us to carry OUR CROSS he is the one who carries all of them at the same time as one big cross, but for us to unite with him we must carry the little weight of our little personal crosses, what you say is an interpretation, Jesus was clear, he said "TAKE YOUR CROSS" he didn't say "don't carry your cross because I already did so". He wants us to participate with him he wants us to partaken in the divine mercy, he is all loving so he want to include us.
I just watched a video that was presented by what I would call a neo-arian...well 3 videos trying to show how the divinity of Jesus started as somewhat mystical and ended in john as being totally mystical. This will be a well timed video as I am currently engaged in a battle with a fallen brother who thinks that Jesus wasn't divine till the council of nicea. very excited to see what you guys brought.
not exactly in the vein of what i was watching, but it was a good synapse of the 4 gospels. Thank you all. I really do enjoy the TBP. Great shareable content that bridges alot of gaps. Keep up the good work team!
@J That is some interesting commentary about Nicea, would be interested to know more. But as it is, my brother who has fallen away from the lord seems to desire truth, but he is now beholden to level 1 and 2 atheistic talking points. The council of nicea being one of them. The 3-part video series i watch was from Bart Erhman. it was a good bit of info. and the info in there has only embolden my faith more, but for my fallen brother, he sees it as slam dunk evidence that Christ's divinity was fabricated. Please, if you have the time, send me a link or a suggestion in getting more info on the early church. in particular the council of nicea.
@@higginswalsan its a compelling argument for those uninformed. If you ever debate christianity in anyway, someone will eventually argue 1 of like 3 major things from nicea. 1. Christ wasn't divine till then. (lie, and not just cause the bible says so) 2. most of the new testament was conceived of or canonized at nicea, (lie again. Polycarp or ignatius i believe quoted from or directly referenced the writings of paul, john and peter...and did so exhaustively save 2 books, hebrews, which we know was canonized later and...cant remember the other one. 3. Christianity in total was a complete fabrication and was a means to subdue the masses...except, again, this was a lie, most all the books of the new testament can be dated prior to council of nicea.
These videos... the writing styles of the bible, patterns, settings, characters... I think I need to start again from Genesis chapter 1 and keep my eyes peeled for all of these.

Dont forget the connection between 4 gospels and 4 living creatures of Revelation/cherubium of Ezekiel

Surely they have connections.
And also the four living creatures in the book of revelations around the Throne. They have the same connections.
@@zhihanlim3500 Matthew the man, Mark the lion, Luke the ox, John the eagle
Its not an exclusive. YOU can become a son of the living Father too !
@@RPAudioeVisual You sound very confused Sir as to who Jesus claimed to be, and then pulling off a bodily resurrection which no man has ever done. Yes-you do not need to read the Bible to know Jesus resurrected from the dead. Jesus is the most famous and well documented man in all of human history, bar none. ❤
This is actually mind blowing! God is so intentional and His Word is no exception. He weaves everything together sooo beautifully for our good and edification!
Gloryyyyy to God!🥳
One thing I loved from this Channel, is that they're not after the money like Ads. But more on giving or sharing the word of GOD Even though Yeshua gives us a word that those who people who preach the Gospel has their right for wage.
One of the values in my life that my mom has always taught me love does not cost a dime I am far from perfect and I am a sinner we all sin and many different ways but the love within my heart for Jesus for never giving up on me and loving me unconditionally I will forever love him if they run is something we all should have before birth money does not buy love love is the only thing that we take with us to our eternity life and I am one that finds it very important to love all interpret peace into anyone I come in contact with I tried to be everyone's blessed hello and never go by
I didn't even notice, even though I watched 90%+ of their videos, even repeated most of them...thank you for highlighting that 😊
Love the illustrations!
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G as ever. I really hope someday it will be show for the kids in my church.
The amount of art you made to fill each of the comic panels in this video astounds me. Great perspective on the Gospels. Thanks for all you guys do!
After years of reading and study..... the Gospel will not be the same again after watching this..... thanks guys. God Bless.....!
Awesome, simple, clear. I love the way Jesus is presented. Thanks a lot!
*The thing I hate about your videos*
is that they don't have enough views
and it has thumbs down. SMH
Why hating?
I watch most of the videos on *The Bible Project* website.
Spread it! It starts with us ♡
That's because society is not looking for the truth and are confused when it comes to God and Christianity
The thing I most appreciate about your videos is that even if you're not a believer or a Christian you can still learn so much from them and be inspired by them.
Keep up the good work!
I love this message so much! Tells you so much about the loyalty of God
I'm new to reading the Bible and these videos are helping me understand it so much more! Thank you!
Um conteúdo muito edificante, Deus os abençoe grandemente no Reino de Deus.
Knocked it out of the park, as always. Well done!
Just finished reading the 4 Gospel Books and this video is indeed a healthy summary. The Books are apologetical and their purpose is to show that indeed Jesus is who He said He was - Messiah, (Son of) God and King! God bless this channel.
Your videos encourage believers big time! It has personally encouraged me so much, by God’s grace! 🥺💖

Thank you for these series of videos! I love them so much!! Jesus, thank you. ❤️✝️🙏
To tell y'all the truth I'm thankful for this channel, I struggle with studying (more like just reading) my bible but these videos really help me understand the story of it all and not only that but I can share it with my friends. Thank you guys for what you're doing, I'm an extreme visual learner so having this and being able to watch it as much as I want is just a blessing.
Love from india 🇮🇳! Gob bless you!
I never noticed the subtleties. It's an indescribable level of storytelling! The more you know, the more in awe you get! Also, your videos add a whole layer of engagement and fun to learning and reading the Bible, especially for visual learners and people who have a love for learning languages.
I got goosebumps while watching this video . Hope that many people would understand more about the gospel and read it to know about the *Kingdom of God* . God bless
I love your videos! We use them to encourage our community and comfort our "seniors" we serve at an assisted living facility. They love seeing and hearing you connect the Bible's Stories and Jesus's life together in such clear and meaningful ways. Thank you!
I was asked to read a full gospel of the Bible. I didn’t understand. Now I do. Thank you.
Yes, Jesus message is about the kingdom. The reason we must be living a kingdom lifestyle. Awesome!
Thanks Bible Project! I use your videos to help homeschool my children :) 🇺🇸 ✝
I loved John saying 'that is subtle'. That made me laugh out loud.
There can't be a better thing for a human to do for himself/herself than read the Bible, and you are so beautifully making it attractive and enticing. More power to you!
Thank you so much. My children have finally returned to me after the teenage phase. Still teens, but they absorb the word of god thru me now and your videos are a FANTASTIC resource to give them milk. I struggled with them planting seeds when they were young. I had to give em meat, so they could see my words come true in front of them. It's hard to explain the invisible things. God lives in their hearts now!
Great testimony. I am praying same happens for my 11 year old niece. Glory to Jesus!

It’s good to watch this in the times we are living!
Thank you so much for such awesome Content and for letting the Father use you guys to be a blessing to so many!
Thank you so much, praise jesus
Blessed is HE that comes in the name of the Lord.
The video mentions the subtle hints that the Gospel writers give in their stories, but this video itself is very sophisticated, with lots of subtle clues. I can't imagine the hours of thought and work that went into producing this deceptively simple video! I heartily encourage all viewers to watch this more than once, and pay attention to the comic story boards on subsequent viewings. They add a lot! Thanks, Bible Project for this wonderful video!
How beautiful ! God is good!
That- explains everything. Thank you so much! Your channel makes me understand the bible much more, its very helpful.
The Bible Project is AMAZING! I've been following this project for 4 or 5 years. You've helped me understand the bible, made it palatable and this allowed me to read through the entire bible following your schedule and connected videos and you continue to teach me. I thank God for you all, you've changed my life... continued blessings.
Bravo to the art and animation team. The halftone consistency and subtle parallax in the cells were extremely well done and beautiful. The writing and teaching is good enough to stand alone, but the artwork elevates the educational element to a greater height. Thank you for the dedication.
You guys are a real blessing to modern Christians
I just love the art style and everything you guys do... thank you

"How to Read the Gospel" - as often as possible. :)
@Joseph Paul What chapter?
@Joseph Paul Whether Jesus was omniscient while in human form is an open question as he "emptied himself" of some divine attributes in order to become man. (Philippians 2:7)
That said, "not knowing the hour" doesn't mean what you think.
@Joseph Paul My pleasure.
haha nice

Love all of your work! Thank you to everyone at The Bible Project for bringing the Bible to LIFE and giving all of us a new, deeper understanding of God's Holy Word! Also, excellent podcast!! MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
The way of doing that is following him in his path: "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." (Mt 16:24-25)
We love to forget about how it's the picking up of our crosses and walking all the way up to our death (having faith through the whole process in Jesus's promise) that we may find salvation.
Amen! His grace is sufficient.
AMAZING! There are always new discoveries about the Bible and this is a great way to show them! This is a good perspective to reread the Gospels!
That’s a very odd thing to think, as the gospels almost certainly were written before 70 AD, long before Nicea
@Philip Bateson Check out the Ryan Reeves UA-cam channel. Some great videos on the early church.
@@higginswalsan its a compelling argument for those uninformed. If you ever debate christianity in anyway, someone will eventually argue 1 of like 3 major things from nicea.
1. Christ wasn't divine till then. (lie, and not just cause the bible says so)
2. most of the new testament was conceived of or canonized at nicea, (lie again.
