I just put a duraclutch kit in my 900XP. At first I thought $1,400 was pricey but it turned out to be the best $1,400 I ever spent. Touch the throttle and it takes off more like a car, instant movement. Lower RPMs at cruising speed and I never realized how much noise the stock clutches made until I switched.
I have a 2011 800 xp , bad jumping on take off, vibrates while driving (rattles the bed some) and smell like rubber burning a little.. repair guy says belt looks good but that was several months back.. so you are saying that just a belt replacement could help? Only use during deer season and a little around the land.. definitely not over worked….
Thanks for the new video, very interesting, I have a 2020 ranger highlifter crew, on 30s, just did the EBS delete shim as I was having problems with it creeping while at idle, only time I think about clutch kits is when I’m out ripping wide open with the guys trail riding, I just feel like when it gets up goin over 35mph and I floor it it doesn’t seem like it changes much, just lifts RPMs, you can’t ever feel it “pull”.
Because you have a crew with 30" tires on a machine that came with 26" Also make sure you have the switch whatever they call it in Performance mode. This video does not apply to you it sounds like, ripping around. A crew ranger is for work and going slow in my opinion.
@@Hunterworks ahhh just so you know, the highlifter actually comes with 28” tires factory, and I do not have the performance switch, it is just factory in performance mode, also no turf mode, stock with rear locker, highlifter model is a huge difference than stock ranger, also high range is a lower gear than stock similar to your ranger, and I do use it for work around the property, but I also enjoy ripping it around, which to me is why ranger is available in the highlifter model..
@@jboutdoors7019 I kinda forgot about that change in tires for 20, my back country is geared like the highlifter and came with 26" and to be honest, my brain said Northstar not highlifter, anyway still the same reason, 2" of tire is a lot especially on a Ranger Crew. A ECU tune might help but if not ripping all the time leave the clutch alone.
Don’t know if you check these comments on older videos. I appreciate your input. But here’s what I want or am looking for. A little lower RPM ! Lol. I have a 24 NS ultimate. And I know the cab accentuates the rpm’s but I feel like I’m gonna blow this thing up. Not working it. Trail riding and probably never gonna load the bed. Bought it for comfort and bench seat. I’ve had several side x sides. Last was an Rzr S 800. Loved that clutch and gear seat up. 4200 and Ranger is at 5000 on same incline. Any input knowing what I’m trying to achieve ? Thank you
Don't think we ever said that, but we just sold gates, we get to have our own belts made now and have our input into them, Been making them since 2018 and we have several videos on them you can watch on this channel to answer that
I use my ranger to move the boat around, and haul a trailer loaded with logs and firewood. I've been noticing things don't feel quite right since I hauled a pretty heavy trailer load through some hills. Do you think I just need a new belt? I'm running 30s with a stage 2 dragonfire lift.
I assume you’re talking about the Dura Clutch it’s about $500 difference the 21 doesn’t need a different secondary at this point and duraclutch only offers the 2020 model with a secondary but you don’t need any of it the 21s have a good clutch in them you just need a Hunterworks belt
Yep duraclutch, sorry, I was thinking this was a duraclutch video. I still have jerky starts, kind of hard to slowly load on the trailer too. Plus, I like that the duraclutch lowers RPM. I guess the biggest issue I have is driving toward my stand location (hunting), if I have it in low, RPM’S are high, and it takes forever to drive the 2+ miles to my stand. I end up in high, and I’m going about 12-15 mph, but I worry I’m going to smoke the belt. It feels fine, but don’t want to get stranded.
My highlifter (2019) is a pain to get it in gear or shifting gears. I seen where it says they have clutch issues. I gotta get it fixed. What's the best clutch?
What is best is a loaded question, what is best for you will be the answer, watch our troubleshooting videos to find out what it is and email me todd@hunterworks.com
I've got a stock 2015 Diesel Crew that is used on our farm. Is a clutch kit worth it? I think we could benefit from engine braking since we have steep terrain.
Duraclutch is the only cluch kit that I would put on if running tracks on my Ranger 800. I wouldn't run tracks on any other system. Unless you like replacing belts and smelling burnt rubber.
I just bought a used Polaris and the gas pedal makes the whole vechicle jump and im thinking it’s in need of some kind of part….i plan on taking this hunting, im in rural maine with lots of rocks on trails and mud….i dont pan on running 50mph but id like to be able to run it on the lake come winter . What do i need to fix it
I have a 900xp ranger with method wheels and 30s . Just need ground clearance. Only this I did was get the epi sand clutch kit for below 3000 it helped it be less jumpy when your trying to slowly move which makes it nice when I’m spraying out of it

They are great if you have an application for it, for sure
@@Hunterworks We use it for trail riding, some work and quite a bit of road riding.

a vibration usually is a burned spot on the belt, but it can be clutch or driveline, depends on if it does it when you rev up in park or not
@ thank you, any suggestions on my first move? Other than buying a belt. Which is something I am going to do soon anyway
@@gr8whitailhunter505 That is first move for sure if it vibrates in park when you rev it

I’ve got a 2008 ranger 700 clutch squeaking at idle and wants to creep. Belt is centered and in good shape. What’s causing this?
so what is the best way to get rid of the jerky start to the ranger if not a clutch kit?
What year and model? Tire size and miles on it?

There is nothing for the clutch in this vehicle that I am aware of to lower the rpm and honestly I can't see why, 5000 is very low

You didn't say what model and year but it could be just the belt or could have damaged the primary clutch. Knowing miles on it would help to
Why does the 21 ranger Xp 1000 only come with the primary? It’s still roughly the same price but without the secondary??

I want to add a little bit of power to my 500cc. is it worth trying? also would 27 inch tires cause me any issues? thanks.
Take no offense to this in any manner just too small of CC to get any power out of it and adding 27 inch tires it’s just gonna make it worse
I have a 2014 Polaris ranger 900 xp with 33s we mud ride and dirt road ride what u recommend
A gear reduction first

Not aware of one made for it but not in my opinion, we do the Duraclutch we sell for the Diesels
What about running snow tracks? Would a clutch kit benefit the tracked up rangers?
I say don't run tracks but a kit would make it worse, run it stock and get a clutch blower, lots of heat regardless the outside temp
