@@leonoremoore1159 exactly! The property tax rules are insane. In our neighborhood in Pinellas County with homes built in the 50’s and roughly the same sizes, unless a little addition added, each of us pays a completely different amount based on the sales price. Paying 5x the amount as the people next door is pretty much price gouging. None of us receives any more or less of the services yet anyone who rolls in after pays that much more. Drives me crazy. Where are the sane people who should be running for office?

Honestly Kaleb, I think you can do better finding gems. These houses are ridiculously expensive. The first house should be listed for $200-250k since it requires at least $400k in requires. Last year's frenzy is dead and gone. Brand new homes almost the same size as the first one are going for 600k with incentives.

The first house is big and could work for a multigenerational family, but even when brand new it wasn't worth $700,000. You expect luxury in that price range, and this was never luxurious. Given the intensive renovation it needs, it won't sell until they cut that price in half. The second house didn't look to be in that bad shape, though it doubtless needs a new roof and a check for mold intrusion.
BTW, Kaleb, a good-quality door can last 100 years, but you seem to think the doors in these houses are of such poor quality that they need to be replaced. What does that tell us about the overall quality of construction?

I would say house 1 should be priced no higher than $499,900. Repairs at $200K with $20K for contingencies, but I actually liked a lot of the woodwork/cabinets. Good grief, did you say the monthly HOA on #2 is over $400/ month? That’s crazy! You could remodel for under $100K. To me, that townhome is worth $300K MAX.

I actually really loved the first house very much. The openess with all the beautiful windows let in so much light, all the space, the enclosed pool, and the uniqueness and lay out of the home. I could see so much potential in this home. I know I'm no expert, but going by aesthetics, I didn't think nearly as much needed to be gutted as you pointed out. My taste can be kind of eclectic, but for this home I would first update the things that were safety and health issues. However, after that I would look for ways to blend modern and traditional. I personally loved the old fireplace too but would bring some modern changes and open that space up. I grew up in a big antique of a home built in 1910...maybe because of that I prefer the character of older homes reimagined to the lavish new homes any day. I do agree it is way overpriced and needs a price cut of about 55% - 60% to make it affordable. I wish I could purchase this grand one-of- a- kind home! Count me IN! 🥰😇❤💗

Hey Kaleb. Happy holiday if celebrate. 5200 sq ft for $799k? Massive. Front elevation looks like a 1-story. Ok. I’m watching. Love palladium windows. Unusual view has me thinking what is that space in front of the fireplace. Good size 1st bedroom with Jack n Jill to 2nd bedroom. Big closets. This home has rustic vibes. Primary big. Agreed. Would remove the shelves. Was probably a reading nook. Interesting closet. The en-suite nice. Like the doors to the backyard. That’s a small living room space by the fireplace for a 5200 sq ft home. Enclosed pool. Spiral staircase to balcony. Fenced in grass space. Oh a Wetbar. Breakfast nook. Unusual kitchen. Nice size pantry. Laundry. 3-car garage right to the kitchen. How is that 2nd room a closet with no closet in it but outside the room? Office space or den yes. Oh. A staircase. I’m lost now 😂. There is a 2nd floor. You’re breathing in mold 🤦‍♀️. Be careful. 2nd floor. 2 closets. Loft. No access to that spiral balcony. Kaleb this home right now a hot mess. Didn’t feel / look like 5200 sq ft. But when this is revamped it will be amazing. Definitely see the potential. 2nd a townhome. Basic elevation. Unusual layout on entry. Stairs/sitting room/door to garage. Washer/dryer. Upstairs kitchen small but doable. Dining space ok. Large living room. 2-bedrooms and bathroom ok. Primary ok. Small en-suite. Closet not bad. Again potential is there. These 2 homes need the Property brothers or Chip and Joanna Gaines 😂. Both will be amazing once renovated especially the first. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.

So altogether 800.000, they lease will raise my taxes another 10,000, my permits in a particular area would be about 5 grand maybe 10, I'm still not quite sure how much damage it really is, Soma least meet another 50,000 be on the safe side, so about $1000000. Good Luck with that first house sell !... Not only do young couples not have the money to buy houses today- they generally don't want them. They are looking for trendy smaller living spaces near the urban city life with cool restaurants and bars and live small venue entertainment. They are not having kids and if they do it's just one child. So no need for huge $700,000 house with 6 bedrooms and 4 full baths that needs updating renovations and a bad roof in the suburbs. My guess is that this house will be on the market forever. The second house (town house) is a joke for almost $500,000 and on top of that there is $400.00 in monthly HOA fees and another $4,000 in yearly taxes. A person would have to have the brains of a rock to purchase that place.

The people that complain on your videos about the price probably aren't even qualified for a loan, let alone looking at homes.
