  • Wroclaw is a city where history intertwines with contemporary life, and where every cobblestone street holds echoes of centuries gone by. Join us as we wander through this enchanting Polish gem, where beauty is woven into the fabric of everyday life.
    Nestled along the Odra River, Wroclaw's geography is as diverse as its rich history. From the charming Old Town to the lush parks, each corner offers a glimpse into its captivating allure.
    Known as Europe’s best destination of 2018. Wroclaw is the fourth biggest city in Poland. It is located in the south-west part of the country, not far from the borders with the Czech Republic and Germany.
    But let's take a step back in time and uncover the layers of history that define Wroclaw's identity. Once a crossroad of cultures and civilizations, this city has weathered the tides of war and conquest, emerging stronger and more resilient with each challenge.
    Today, Wroclaw stands as a testament to its rich heritage, with a skyline punctuated by Gothic spires and rich architecture. Wander through its cobblestone streets, and you'll be transported to a bygone era, where tales of knights and kings echo through the ages.
    But Wroclaw is not just a relic of the past; it's a vibrant metropolis pulsating with life and energy. Its modern skyline is a testament to its spirit of innovation, blending seamlessly with centuries-old architecture to create a visual symphony unlike any other.
    And let's not forget about the heart and soul of Wroclaw-its people and their passion for good food and company. From the historic Piwnica Swidnicka, the oldest restaurant in Europe, to the cozy cafes lining every street corner, every culinary experience is a journey of discovery and delight.
    As the sun sets over the city, casting a warm glow upon its streets, you'll feel it-a magical atmosphere that makes you feel like you've stepped into a fairy tale. It's in the laughter of friends sharing a meal, the sweet tunes of street musicians, and the timeless beauty of Wroclaw's buildings, each one seeming to have its own story to tell. Walking through the city's streets and alleys, you'll be captivated by its charming vibe at every turn. In Wroclaw, reality feels like a dream, where every moment is filled with wonder and possibilitySo whether you're a traveler seeking adventure or a local in search of inspiration, Wroclaw welcomes you with open arms. Come, lose yourself in its charm, and discover the magic that awaits at every turn.
    This is Wroclaw, where the past meets the present, and every moment is a masterpiece.
    But before we take you on this unforgettable adventure we first got to take a train there from Berlin, so come along with us as we embark on an exciting journey to Wroclaw!

    It's a nice movie, but how can you keep your shoes on the seats, after all, someone will sit there later. Would you like to sit on the seat of someone else's shoes on a train? It's clean not because we clean it, but because we take care of it ourselves🙆‍♂

      This is true. In Poland it's impolite to do so as well as not taking shoes off when you visit someone in their house. You must take your shoes off to show respect to other peoples' spaces.

    I love your videos. One point on why European transport is so clean - please don't put your shoes on the seats. It is a cultural thing - we understand that it is the passengers' responsibility for the cleanliness and comfort of our travels. Would you want to sit on a seat where someone had their shoes on? You know what stuff is on your shoes right? Bird feces always contain parasites. Always. And it's nearly impossible not to step on bird poo when walking around a city. If you sit in a seat someone had their shoes on, whatever was on it, transfers onto your clothes which you later take home and put on your sofa or bed. Just keep that in mind. (Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a Karen)

    Shoes on a seat was a bit too much for lot of us. ;) but don't worry ;) it's just a mistake. No fear. Someone will give you a bad commentary, about this but still... We like you as much like we liked you before. No worry for bad comments. It was a culture mistakie and we all get it. We don't wan't to you feel bad about it - just make you right that never happend again. We are still cool with you, I promise. 😅 Suné and James.... welcome in POLAND you two! ❤

    Uppps. I was always taught that you have to be a gentleman. Women should be helped to carry their suitcases up and down the stairs and even to drag their own suitcase and that of their woman. So you should take care of men's duties and your wife could record a video without struggling with the suitcase. Remember that you should be helpful and a gentleman in every situation.

    Easily one of the most beautiful and underrated cities in Europe, and trust me I saw many of them already.
    You made a great introduction to the city and when started speaking about Berlin Hbf I realized, that you also visited the biggest railway station in Poland. Wroclaw Glowny is the biggest station in the country, having 26,4 milion passengers annually. This means roughly 72 329 passengers every single day. When built (1857) it was the biggest railway station in Europe and still stays one of the most beautiful.

    • @darek4488
      @darek4488 29 днів тому

      The busiest isn't the biggest. The new Lodz Fabryczna is by far the biggest train station in Poland while not even being in top 10 by amount of trains or passengers. It is also the deepest train station since the platforms are 16 meters below the street level. Wroclaw Glowny indeed has beaten other stations recently in numbers, but you have to remember that Warsaw has Warszawa Zachodnia, Warszawa Centralna, Warszawa Śródmieście, Warszawa Wschodnia which are each almost as busy. It only means that Wroclaw needs another station to divide the traffic.

    • @tomaszargentynczyk8635
      @tomaszargentynczyk8635 29 днів тому +1

      @@darek4488 yes, the busiest is the biggest, that’s usually how train stations/airports/cities are being judged. Area is irrelevant if you don’t have any passengers.
      I am not sure what you want to say, but I just noticed they saw the busiest German railway station and the busiest Polish one the same day. Wroclaw has many different stations across the city as well, 30 overall. It brings nothing to the discussion

    14:36 - All stations in big towns in Poland has got lifts .
    1.
    I'm surprised that in other similar films, foreign travelers also buy tickets from vending machines. And that no one has told them so far (and this also means that there is no such information in foreign guidebooks around the country) - that public transport vehicles have bank card readers. JUST SELECT TICKET OPTIONS, PUT YOUR BANK CARD TO THE READER AND WAIT FOR CONFIRMATION (you will see a green tick instead of a printed ticket). AND THAT'S ALL . This is also an action in case the ticket vending machine is broken. The third option is to buy tickets at kiosks or shops.
    2.
    According to the official report, Poland offers a high level of tourist service ratio in relation to prices. This results not so much from the desire to compete with other countries in this field, but mainly from the traditional hospitality of this nation. A satisfied foreign guest brings great joy to the Polish host. There is an old Polish saying - „Gość w dom, Bóg w dom” - Guest in the house, God in the house.
    Also, dirt or disorder is perceived as a great shame, especially in the presence of foreign guests, so general cleanliness in Poland is the norm (although there are certainly places like old, neglected yards, so it is not perfect yet)

I would recommend to go there in summer time, a lot of restaurants opened outside, beer gardens, lots of events, concerts on the square, happy people and delicious food. Highly recommend to visit Trójmiasto (Gdańsk old town, Sopot coast, Gdynia), but also the Hel - you will be not disappointed! Also, another beautiful region in Poland is Mazury, called land of 1000s lakes. In winter time I would recommend to go to mountain side- Kraków, Zakopane, Karpacz. You can enjoy horse ride"kulig", traditional polish mountain people fireplace with local singers and "góralski" dance. You should also visit Auschwitz, Wieliczka, Termy Hot springs, spływ Dunajcem (summer time), ski, Morskie Oko lake between mountains, and much much more....

    In Wrocław you can buy tickets in all trams and buses. If you can't buy a ticket inside you can ride for free (in that case if you are fined the fine will be equal to the ticket price). The tickets bought in trams and busses are not printed. The system takes a note of the card that was used to purchase them (card only!!!). Check local regulations in other cities. It is not the case in Warsaw. You can buy tickets in some trams and buses there but if you don't have a validated ticket it is always your fault. Some Polish Intercity trains (a lot of them) have a dining car called WARS. You can have some pierogi, pork chop, sandwich, soda, beer, etc there. It looks that this one didn't have it.

    Hi guys. It's nice to see you again. I am glad to hear you have visited Wroclaw. I hope you enjoyed your trip. I recommend you visit Krakow, Zakopane, Wieliczka Salt Mine, and Auschwitz- Birkenau Nazi German Concentration Camp when you come to Poland 🇵🇱 next time. It's a must and you won't regret!!!

    Finally Guys. Loooong time no see 😊. Already anticipating for part II.
    Wow VIEWERS! Where does so much hate come from? These guys are doing such a great job. Remember: We are all from different parts of the world. Not everything is the same everywhere. We all do mistakes, we’re just human. That is how we learn, how we discover different cultures. James did something wrong, yet Sune immediately told him not to. So take a deep breath and enjoy life with every sense.
