This is one of the most impressive stand up comedy performances of all time. The way he has total control whilst going off on mad tangents is just amazing.
Two of my mates went to see Eddie izzard live in York 30years ago, after 5 minutes they looked @ each both nodded, stood up & went to the pub next door, they had 2hours to kill before the coach returned to Harrogate.conclusion not there cup of tea.true story..
Izzard at his peak. His masterpiece. I’ve watched this show dozens of times. I no longer watch it for the jokes (I know them all), but to admire and learn from his stagecraft and audience control. 5 minutes into the show, when he says “Taxi… of which there are FIVE”, applause erupts, and that’s the point he knows he has ‘won’ the audience. He now knows the evening will be a success. You can see him struggle to hold back a smile.
The only correct way to react to Eddie Izzard! 😂😂 I know all his DVD's by heart at this point, but couldn't stop laughing with you guys! (Please check out his other shows as well after this! "Glorious" and "Definite Article" are classics.)
🤣🤣🤣 Oh Brad & Lucy... I thought you were both going to pass out laughing watching Eddie Izzard here... 😂 I look forward to watching part 2 guys... All the best... Cheers. 🍺
Love how much you're enjoying Eddie! Bought this on vhs back in the day n at the start there was a hilarious video of San Francisco that he does a voice over thing
So pleased you discovered Eddie and especially this gig, I think its fantastic from start to finish and knew you'd love it. It really is one of the best stand up performances I've ever seen, for me. The rest of the gig is just as funny ❤
Your hair!! I couldn't remember just how old this was and it's all the way back in 1999. Back when San Fran was still a nice place to visit. Don't go there now... good gawd. Hell on earth. I needed this humor - he is so refreshing. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Love ya! ♥
So excited for this! Easily one of my favorite stand up specials of all time, your reaction just made it even better!!! Lucy, the bangs work great on you!
When the Dress To Kill show toured he UK, I bought tickets straight away. Then, a family member bought me tickets as a birthday present and colleagues from a firm I was leaving bought me tickets also. Basically, I had tickets to see the same show three times in as many months in different parts of the UK. Turns out that, apart from a beginning, middle and end point - sort of position markers, I guess - what I saw was three almost entirely different shows, including a long, extended section done entirely in French for some overseas students (who were in the audience) in Cambridge. I think it was the show in Leeds where I laughed so much I couldn't breathe and had to leave the auditorium for a ten minute rest.
I.ve watched u 2 for a while..u make me laugh. .but I don't think I.ve seen the pair of u laugh so much as this one.😂..Eddie is so funny for me..but he's also a bloody history teacher..😂...he is do unique in what he does...and how he looks..so funny
I used to own Unrepeatable, Definite Article and Dressed to Kill on cassette tape and played them constantly on my Walkman constantly back when that was a thing.
Eddie's stand up's are absolutely brilliant. With regards to what to call him/her, Eddie has stated a few times that he/she doesn't care what pronouns people use for him/her.
Well it's definitely 'him' isn't it. Unless of course you're a sexist piece of dirt who thinks think that when a man decides to trowel on more make-up than Boy George, wear pantomime breasts and dress like an extra playing a prostitute in a 1980's police drama, that he magically becomes female and is entitled to walk into womens toilets where young girls were present, who were intimidated and complained, to which Eddie responded not by apologizing but by blaming the girls, accusing them of intolerance. So yes, it's 'him'. Because biology exists and the desires of men are not more important than the dignity, welfare and safety of women and girls.
OMG, I've never seen you guys laugh so hard in all the time I've been following you. Eddie is a brilliant comedian tho', there's no denying that. It's great to see you enjoying something as much as this, it really is!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Only the Altar stone apparently. The postage was too expensive to transport all of them south of the border, so alternative stones of an equal quality and value were found in the valleys!
Omg the bangs and the redness of Lucy’s hair makes me miss you guys even more. Also, are you planning to make vlogs? I honestly think it would be fun to see your creative world you guys live in. ;)
Have you guys checked out Frank Skinner? There's some of his full stand up routines available on YT. I think you'll like him. 😁😁 Also, Denis Leary, a pretty good US comic that's a bit manic. 😎😎
He did a show in new york aswell. He descided to get himself into politics wanted to be the mayor of london which was a good idea but thats was his own goal.
I’ve heard people calling Eddie the stand up equivalent to Monty python and few things make more sense than that. The way he deviates all of the sudden to absurd and surreal imagery fits perfectly with python’s humor.
I don't want to be that dude, but nobody made the name "Engelbert Humperdinck" up. Mr. Dorsey, or whoever had the idea for it, assumed it as an hommage to the German Composer of the music to the 1893 opera "Hänsel und Gretel", whose name was.. Engelbert Humperdinck. What else. 😂
You really should try to get hold of an earlier gig he did around 1996 I think it was called the definitive article. He is wearing a red velvet jacket + shiny black trousers on the cover
I’m going to be one of those dull people now and point out that just one stone is from Scotland. Impressive nonetheless. The rest are the Welsh stones or more local stones from 20-odd miles away. I wouldn’t want to move one twenty feet, let alone twenty miles or the possibly 400 miles from Scotland. Ironically enough there is Woodhenge nearby to Stonehenge. It’s less exciting as it’s some marks in a field, but sizeable still.
This is one of the most impressive stand up comedy performances of all time. The way he has total control whilst going off on mad tangents is just amazing.
one of the best stand up shows ever. used to watch it repeatedly

yep, used to know it by heart, lol. Stil quote it at regular intervals
Thank you so much for this. I have watched this show multiple times, but I was crying too, by the end. Your reactions totally made my day.
Wow, thank you!
Such a great reaction, love seeing you both cracking up 😂😂. Can’t wait for more Eddie. Have a great weekend!! 😍👍😆😁🇬🇧
This stand up is Legendary!!!!!!!!!!

The pure laughter and joy I get watching this is indescribable. Every time Lucy covers her mouth to laugh it kills me 😂

Yay your doing a full eddie 😊😊😊
we had the VHS in the house when I was a kid, every family interaction was populated with quotes from this, we'd watch it so many times!

Convicts!
Haven't watched Eddie for years. Intelligence, history, geography & comedy. Eddie did some amazing shows.
Thanks. Not seen his classic stand up sets for a while, they've all merged into one big crazy tangent!
Great reaction and Brad is dying of laughter! This is great!
Not seen this in years! I love it. I hope you do all the shows
Cats and dogs - and old ladies buying hairnets and cat food
And his take on horror films so so funny.
So pleased you discovered Eddie and especially this gig, I think its fantastic from start to finish and knew you'd love it.

I don’t think I have ever seen you crack up laughing so much😁 love to you both keep up the laughter 👍
If it's true that every laugh adds minutes on your lifespan, you guys will live forever. 😂
I love this stand up!! Eddie is phenomenal in this
Stand up? From what I hear, he much prefers bending over.
I’ve never seen Lucy laugh so hard she lost her headphones before 😂😂😂😂😂
So excited for this! Easily one of my favorite stand up specials of all time, your reaction just made it even better!!!
Lucy, the bangs work great on you!
Wow I don't think I have ever seen you two laugh so much
Oh I'll be saving this for later, one of my favourite comedy/ stand up shows ever!
I forgot how brilliant this is, crying laughing. I do hope you do the ones before this too, 'Glorious' is just as good.
Love your reaction. You need to watch another of his stand ups. It's called "Glorious". It's hilarious. 😂❤
That's by far the most you've laughed at the end, Lucy was struggling not to implode.
absolutely BEST EDDIE IZZARD STAND UP "DRESSED TO KILL" I'VE SEEN HIM 3 TIMES, NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My god I had this dvd back in 2002 and still to this day I laugh my ass off. 😂😂😂😂
One of the hardest blokes on the planet. Can't remember how many marathons he did in a row, day after day
28 I think
It was 43 marathons in 51 days.
Actually he doesn't identify as a bloke these days. Big shock eh! Lol
No amount of makeup can hide the head of a prize bull

Brad and Lucy shaking with laughter for 40 mins straight! 😅👍
He's relentlessly random, but hilarious for it!
That ending was funny as hell

Love your new bird, Brad! 🥰👍

Great reaction!! And that Lady, adorable!!
You guys are brilliant!!!! ❤❤❤
"Jeff the god of biscuits" is my favorite line of the whole show. Just wonderfully absurd.
OMG, I've never seen you guys laugh so hard in all the time I've been following you. Eddie is a brilliant comedian tho', there's no denying that. It's great to see you enjoying something as much as this, it really is!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Last week they figured out the stones actually came from Scotland. Which is even more impressive.
Surely it's all downhill.

Izzard's awesome, whimsical and damn, that last 5 minutes or so 10/10.
OMG FINALLY! How I've waited for this moment. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 🥵😁
I'm a tad jealous of you two seeing this for the first time. I've seen these so many times - still great, but that first time... 😅
Question that needs to be asked, is there a matching Merkin?. 😅
Loved this love Eddie. When will part 2 be up on here.
Should have it ready Sunday 😊
Missed you guys. Loving the new hair Doo!
I don't know what made me laugh more - Eddie or you 😂
He did a show in new york aswell. He descided to get himself into politics wanted to be the mayor of london which was a good idea but thats was his own goal.
