One of my favourite comedians of all time! Heard of him from my children( I’m in my mid 60s) so managed to get tickets to see him many years ago. One of the most talented stand ups in UK. Love your reaction👍❤️
His Star wars canteen routine is a must as you loved this, its brilliantly funny. There is a live version of it on UA-cam, but, the version I'd recommend is the lego version: "Eddie Izzard death star canteen lego" Type that and you'll find it. Someone made a video, using star wars lego figures acting out the story to Eddie's voice from the live version. The video of the live version is also great itself, in that you get to see him, of course, but, I think you'd love the lego version. Its really well done. ❤
I bought the VHS of this show when it came out in 1999 and I must have played it hundreds upon hundreds of times. I could probably perform the entire show word for word. Seeing you guys reacting to it for the first time just reminds me of how much I loved it the first time I saw it.
Confession: I didn't like Eddie at all after my first encounter (but I love him now) because he was kind of forced onto me. Someone I knew parked me in front of their TV and started a DVD with one of his standups, while he snuck away into the kitchen to make a meal for us. So I ended up helping rattling the pots and pans instead. That was much more fun. But I guess I grew a sense of humour since. Great reaction!
1:04:15 "avec une douche... with a spider" - He didn't really mess that up; the mime he did for water coming out of a shower-head looked like a spider flexing its legs.
Wow, incredible. I've watched clips of Eddie Izzard throughout my life, but never a full show. I'm so impressed. Huge respect for him. Thanks for a great reaction guys, I'm glad you loved it as much as I did. Very intelligent delivery. And Lucy, very impressive that you can speak 3 languages. I'm guessing French, and ... which other one? Much love guys ♥
Wonderful reaction! I was laughing constantly right along with you. You've got to also do the same thing with his Glorious stand-up. I know it's lengthy just like this but I can guarantee you'll laugh just as much.
Eddie is up there with the finest ever. My introduction was 'Glorious' , and we had dropped acid that night... I have never laughed so much in our lives we were in physical pain.
❤❤❤ It 😊Your reaction reminds me of watching this on DVD Years ago with my daughter. We could hardly stay on the couch we were shaking so hard. Was SO long ago, that the DVD was a rental from Blockbuster 😂 SO Happy to watch it again with someone who enjoys it as much 😊😊❤
You must be easily amused he's a trans prick he a big Two Tier Keir Starmer communist he's a prick scout as funny as sticking yer cock in a blender and mixing it with vinegar......Tell him to do that Christian bashing about the Muslims the prick
Hopefully you get to see his jesus and the dinosaurs and death star canteen clips soon i gave up requesting them about a year ago but i feel you might be more inclined now. Theres animated versions if each clip.
I have met him many times after shows & he’s fantastic. He actually remembered my name & my kids names each time, which I thought was amazing. His shows also have no time limit, you really feel like you know him. He doesn’t charge for meet and greet, we just waited for him to wind down & he spent another 2 or 3 hours with us. Each time I’ve seen him he’s done that so it wasn’t a publicity stunt. Also bought us all drinks & seemed so interested in our lives. Very cool person. The second time while I was waiting in the line to be seated I felt a tap on my shoulder & heard “Hiya Trace”, it was him. He hugged me like I was a family member. & every show I’ve been to he acknowledged me by name. The fame never went to his head unlike some. I don’t think people knew if you wait in the lobby he comes out to talk to us. Each time there’s only been a group of maybe 10 of us waiting, which is awesome. Very genuine person. I’m glad you watched the whole show, he’s hilarious. Xx
The original Englebert Humperdinck - and source of Hump's stage name - was a 19th century German composer, whose most successful work was the children's opera Hansel und Gretel, which is still popular to this day.
Engelbert Humperdinck's real name is Arnold Dorsey, not Gerry Dorsey (another stage name). He is, indeed, not dead. Hitler wasn't vegetarian, it is not incorrect to use "Ich bin ein Berliner" the way Kennedy did, and the moon isn't a planet.
Haha! Just noticed auto(in)correct put "pendant". Rather than edit it, I'll leave it there as a sign of what can happen when you act like "a bit of a bellend". 🤣
I haven't seen this for 20 years and I've just watched the whole gig with you two and it was so much fun watching the reaction...I had exhausted it 20 years ago I re-watched it so much on video back then...Love from the UK
I love him because he is a very learned man. He is a very interesting person I think. Born in Yemen, moved to North Wales when he was a kid. He did a lot of comedic gigs in France and didn't speak any French but gradually learned as he went! He has run marathons for comic relief something like 151 marathons in 153 consecutive days or something like that . He is amazing !
He, as with many people in these times of renaissance for the LGBTQ community, he has come out as "transsexual" and prefers female pronouns now. And good on him/her, however one does feel about a using someone else's preferred pronouns. 🤷🏼♂️" Something others, those who came before like for example Paul Lynde as one the most recent, more prominent cases. Cases who sadly never lived to see the day of their liberation themselves. 😔
I know it seems strange to say it, but Eddie has gotten weird and trans militant, he doesn't do stand up anymore, and I believe he's now called Ida or something.
I've never been a big fan of Eddie Izzard as a comedian, but Eddie is a good actor. Izzard's comedy routine is a little too female orientated for my liking. Of course, tastes differ.
Eddie is truly one of the great stand ups of all time.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
One of my favourite comedians of all time!

Love your reaction👍❤️
That's Jeff Vader that is!
And he doesn't want any peas!
Eddie is an absolute genius love his Lego sketches if anyone has seen them there brilliant, truly a one of a kind comic.
His Star wars canteen routine is a must as you loved this, its brilliantly funny.

...And I joined you for Part 2. Glad you guys enjoyed it. BTW I first saw Eddie when he was a street performer in Covent Garden (London) in 1988.

Eddie is a force of nature, and one of my life hero's an amazing human being.
I am looking forward to the Origami Championships, apparently it's on paper-view
This is the best reaction to date!

One of my fav standup shows ever! Great reaction :) Greetings from Ireland - loved the "Drink, Feck, Arse, etc" t-shirt :D
Amazing. Really recommend a dive into Eddie’s other shows, they’re also brilliant x
I have this on VHS somewhere 😂 fabulous 😂
I think it should be available on the NHS!
Wonderful reaction! I was laughing constantly right along with you. You've got to also do the same thing with his Glorious stand-up. I know it's lengthy just like this but I can guarantee you'll laugh just as much.
Yes cant wait for the second part your reaction to part 1 was so great ❤😂
Eddie is up there with the finest ever. My introduction was 'Glorious' , and we had dropped acid that night... I have never laughed so much in our lives we were in physical pain.
I COULD BARELY BREATHE WHEN I SAW THIS FIRST TIME!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😮😮😮😮😮😮😂😂😂😂
You must react to his tour before this one: Glorious! It’s just as good as Dress to Kill. 👍🏻
loved your reactions - so joyful
He does a fantastic impression of james mason 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤
12:20 - 14:03
This man predicted Dr. beau Hightower 24 years ago. 😂😂😂😂
❤❤❤ It 😊Your reaction reminds me of watching this on DVD Years ago with my daughter. We could hardly stay on the couch we were shaking so hard. Was SO long ago, that the DVD was a rental from Blockbuster 😂 SO Happy to watch it again with someone who enjoys it as much 😊😊❤
Eddie Izzard ran 27 marathons in 27 days for Comic Relief...Mandela spent
27 years in prison, the reason for the 27 X...
I have about 4 or 5 of his stand-up shows on VHS and DVD, and they are some of the finest comedy shows I have ever seen.
You must be easily amused he's a trans prick he a big Two Tier Keir Starmer communist he's a prick scout as funny as sticking yer cock in a blender and mixing it with vinegar......Tell him to do that Christian bashing about the Muslims the prick
Me too, agree with you 100%👍❤️
Eddie has some Tour dates coming up in the U.S in October, November if people want to get tickets and see him, tour dates on he’s website
I always remember eddy izzard being really funny in his stand up's 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Epic - well done guys!
Glorious is my favourite of his stand-up. Lost count how many times I've watched it.
"CAKE OR DEATH?" IS A T-SHIRT WE GOT AT HIS SHOW. MY SON STILL WEARS HIS!!!
Would love to see you guys do other Izzard shows too. Like "Definite Article", "Glorious" and "Circle". Personal favorites :)
Yes! I agree 100%, those are classics
What is it sebastian, i'm arranging.... matches🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hiya don't worry about the end of part one you two cracking up like that was epic😂, im definitely cake🎂🍰✌❤🐦.
Hopefully you get to see his jesus and the dinosaurs and death star canteen clips soon i gave up requesting them about a year ago but i feel you might be more inclined now. Theres animated versions if each clip.
Another *AMAZING* Father Ted tshirt Brad! 😃👍
Wow Brad that's some back comb 👍
Please consider GLORIOUS, top tier eddie😊 I also got a custom made cake or death t-shirt 😂😂
The true, not true stuff is great. Precursor to current social media really
Not a maneuver yet. More of a gesture.
Oh God here we go..... lighting a bowl as I type (sort of LOL) and am ready to cry-laugh some more with you two - ♥
Awesome 😁🍺😎🤪
"I'm exhausted and gay" - Brad
I don’t think I’ve watched his standup before made me proud to be C of E at the beginning there 😂
That is ad-lib at it’s finest
His other great show is the, Definite Article
And Glorious too, both top top stand up 👍😍👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😍🇬🇧

That is awesome 👌
don't panic - Englebert Humperdinck is still with us, as I write this. He was 88 years old in May this year

Pendant alert! Anthrax is a biological weapon. 😜🤣

Glad you enjoyed it!
Engelbert Humpalot
Proctologists always deal with assholes what a job
Do 'Circle' next! There is a French show on the DVD extras which is great, too (even if, like me, your french is terrible!)
He did a full stand up in Francë language. Hes very talented and looks nothing like he does with out make up and clothes
So so funny, every show is great but you'll love 'Circle' too as it has the famous Death Star Canteen part in it which is absolutely hilarious!
I love him because he is a very learned man. He is a very interesting person I think. Born in Yemen, moved to North Wales when he was a kid. He has run marathons for comic relief something like 151 marathons in 153 consecutive days or something like that . He is amazing !
That was Eddie Izzard at his peak. He's been doing marathon runs since, and has also tried his hand at politics. Neither of which was memorable.
😁😂👍✌️
Was . . . . that Cousin It in the thumbnail??
His call-backs are genius.
When is the next still game been uploaded ❤
There are a few new ones in patreon. You can watch for free. Just waiting on copyright for youtube
Love Eddie Izzard , He was at University in Sheffield where I live and many claim him as ours Lol! X
He, as with many people in these times of renaissance for the LGBTQ community, he has come out as "transsexual" and prefers female pronouns now. Live at the Ambassadors is one of his first stand up's from the early 90's. That's really funny too
And they claim there aren’t enough women in comedy…..
I know it seems strange to say it, but Eddie has gotten weird and trans militant, he doesn't do stand up anymore, and I believe he's now called Ida or something.
It's you that has changed!
I've never been a big fan of Eddie Izzard as a comedian, but Eddie is a good actor.
