Is it possible to beat Borderlands The Pre-Sequel With Only The Snowball? What if we run out of grenades? Can we beat Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode with only the nerfed version of the Fastball? Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-sequel, and Borderlands 3 all have guns that can get pretty wacky, but wacky doesn't always mean good. In this challenge run, we try to beat the Borderlands The Pre-Sequel with a grenade that is fun for the whole family! Want to see me try this challenge with a different gun, grenade, or shield? Comment below on what gun, grenade, or even shield I should try next! Any gun in any game (Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, or Wonderlands!)
So a while back I made a video where I tried to beat Borderlands 2 with only the fastball, and that was actually pretty fun, and since my last challenge video’s ad revenue barely paid for the resulting therapy sessions, I thought it might be a good idea and have a nice fun and wholesome run. So today we are going to try and answer, Can You Beat Borderlands The Pre-Sequel With ONLY The Snowball? Now before you guys ask, yes I just said I was playing the pre-sequel for fun. I dunk on this game a lot but if I’m being honest it's my second favorite game of the series next to borderlands 2. The 3rd is tiny tina’s no- one-shot adventure, you know the standalone game that’s just the bl2 Tina DLC, yeah that one. Anyway, jokes aside Let me tell you the rules. We will try to beat Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode at Level 70 with No Bar Allowed and No guns allowed. We will be playing as Jack The Doppel Ganger and his actions skill is “kinda” allowed but ill go over that in a bit. And most importantly, The snowball is the only grenade we’re allowed to use. As for the other gear we have a pretty normal shield, a level 1 oz kit so that we cant abuse slams, and The Best Man Classmod for grenade damage and 5 extra points in Just Compensation, which makes grenade damage higher for every grenade ammo I'm missing. Here is a quick peek at the build, I feel like I had a lot of extra skill points so if anything seems out of wack here it's probably cus it is. I’ll explain the important skills as we go so let's get into the run. We arrive at helios and immediately start doing what you would expect, beaming these Dahl guys with nice, wholesome,, totally not packed with ICE and gunpowder, snowballs. Also as one would expect we ran out of ammo pretty fast. Compared to Axton and the fastball, we seem to be at a major disadvantage, we only get half the ammo, and we can't throw snowballs while in a fight for our life. But I am here to say both those problems are only half wrong. Thanks to the skill Jack’s Cache, we get a free grenade for every 4 kills we get, and since we’re spec’d into Leadership as well, every time a Digi jack dies, it counts as a kill. So if we activate our action skill then immediately cancel it, we can farm up grenades, mind you, I can't get actual ammo I just get a free throw when I have 4 stacks built up so it's not like I can get to max ammo. Another thing we can do after using our action skill is activated On My Mark which makes the Digi Jacks throw a copy of my grenade mod at the bad guys. And let me tell you these.

The Pre-Sequel is actually an amazing game, it's just really sad that 2K Australia shut down before they could fully flesh out the game. Though I kinda blame Gearbox for not picking up the slack and finishing where they left off.
probably the most fun one for a one time run, can't wait for borderlands modding to improve and expand to the point where making raid bosses (and the entire endgame really there's none of it sadly) is possible, this game deserves to be loved

@@bloody_violin7397 _Especially_ the gameplay. BL2 UVHM is ridiculously unfair and unfun, but TPS is so well balanced that I have fun playing it on every single difficulty!

The pre sequel is still supper fun. The characters are great, the combat is interesting, and the laser guns are supper cool. I feel like if the game got more support (Via DLC/Events), people would show it more love.

The presequel is underrated as hell. It's my second fav after BL2. I'll always be disappointed at the potential that was wasted. Lasers and the 3dimensionality were so cool
5:27 In a "normal" run, Deadlift really isn't a problem. You just do that one side quest for Janey Springs, and you get rewarded with a guaranteed green rarity, shock element, maliwan sniper rifle. You can farm it for perfect parts as a Snider, Rakehell, or Corinthian, and light Deadlift the F-up with it, and melt him in seconds.

The vault hunters in TPS are all really interesting to play, it's a real shame they didn't get the game they deserved.
Nisha is somewhat of a Salvador 2 if you ask me. Really fun to use the action skill with 2 Vladof pistols.

@@Sasha-jo4tw no. The one in opportunity used cloaking tech to look like Jack. The one in Pre Sequel is a body double using surgery. That and the Jack body double from pre sequel (Timothy) is the main side character of DLC 1 of borderlands 3 which is set after 3's main story

If anyone says that using Digi Jacks is cheating, then they don't realize this challenge run is still tough as hell. You're using a single grenade mod only without any OP Shields or Oz kit. I'd say it's great in my book, and you're still challenging yourself. Love the stuff dude!

I always thought the BUNKR fight was a nightmare. Only to learn that it wasn't the BUNKR I always thought of, I don't even remember fighting it! It was the RK5 that caused so much annoyance
I appreciate that despite ragging on TPS, you also point out that you like it. I really like TPS, I honestly consider it a notable improvement over BL2 in most ways (except for one of the most crucial ones... not enough content.) The gameplay is in my eyes much more fun; you don't need to have a slag gun or grenade glued to your hand to do any kind of damage, the bosses are immeasurably better designed, the VH abilities more creative and fun to use... if it had even, say, 70% of the content BL2 had I would probably still be playing it.
This video just shows off that Dopple really is the most OP vault hunter...Ever.
The Pre sequel with the community patch is one of my favorite games. The builds you can make in that game are quite fun and allow you to make use of some really bad weapons. The scaling at end game also feels very fair and Most enemies don't just feel like giant bullet sponges that will immediately healthgate you like the op levels in bl2. If only Gearbox decided to implement the community patch's dedicated drops and respawnable unique enemies I feel like the game could have done so much better. Also perhaps add in more spawn points since some maps are massive and can be a pain to traverse for some farms.
Claptrap in the UCP is fun because of the change to 4 points in Fuzzy Logic w/o a class mod, allowing you to choose between either having All The Guns or Safety First, rather than being forced into both to progress down the tree. This synergizes well with Element of Surprise & Jakobs, as in vanilla & by extension the Community Patch, the damage penalty is applicable only for non-matching elemental guns. So you can main non-elemental guns whilst pulling out a matching element on occasion, provided you don't spec into All the Guns/Rope-A-Derp to make RNG worse for yourself.
On that same note, it also helps a lot with Melee Claptrap as you can lock yourself down to only Shield, Health, & Melee subroutines, meaning you only need to spam Cryogenic Exhaust Manifold when under a shield subroutine.

@@LilGasmask If you do decide to "put the stinky" on her, you could use the Legendary Pistol called the "Zim" that is the TPS Gub. It would mirror well with your BL2 Gub Only that birthed the phrase to Put The Stinky On Them! (And keep the world drop reset rule. Would Vendors spawning the Zim count as a reset?).

Here’s a fun, albeit a potentially easy TPS Challenge; Can you beat The Pre-Sequel as “Salvador the Gunzerker?” Use Nisha’s dual-wielding capstone skill and only the 88 Fragnum (The Pre-Sequel’s version of the Unkempt Harold), or other unique/legendary pistols that are in both BL2 and TPS.
Also, any chance you’ll consider doing challenges for BL1, BL3, or Wonderlands in the future?

The major chance increase of finding ammo is as long as you're under 50% in BL2, an I'm assuming TPS is the same.

i've never understood the TPS hate. it has a much better story than 1, 2, or 3 (not played Wonderlands), and it's the only one with characters worth caring about (especially player characters, because they have personalities *while* you play them). Claptastic Voyage is fantastic, the 02 mechanics were fun, if not fully explored, and the main game's bosses were great because they weren't just bullet sponges. fuck EOS though.
then again, i've never found any enjoyment in the endgames of the other games. i don't enjoy farming for the sake of farming or fighting bullet sponge enemies in general

I loved the PreSequel. Mostly because Athena, "Jack", and ESPECIALLY Nisha were so fun to grind battles with and grav-slamming was actually useful.
Bro, during this run, the game was screaming at you to do a Jack o' cannon solo run.
Me and a buddy just finished replaying TPS and it was honestly really fun. Granted, it wasn't anything like BL2 (Which being real nothing will top BL2) but all things consider it's not that bad a game. Now when it first released yeah it was a pretty sore sight, but now? I highly recommend it.
