- Is it possible to beat Borderlands 2 with ONLY the Bane? What if we tried it on OP10? What if we weren't allowed to drive cars either? Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-sequel, and Borderlands 3 all have guns that can get pretty wacky, but wacky doesn't always mean good. In this challenge run, we try to beat the game with everyone's favorite cursed weapon...The Bane

My favorite thing to tell people is that even if you turn all your sound options to 0. The Bane still makes it's sound. And that's the real curse.
You can't escape it, not even the settings can save you

It's significantly harder due to the way they control it though.

Seeing how many times those crystalisks scored hole-in-one was truly painful.
Don't know if you intentionally ignored their projectiles for some comedic value or not, but they can be destroyed with gunfire, Scorn orb or teslas
I usually pride myself on knowing what projectiles are destroyable, but my mind is actually blown know. 🤯
To be honest, if i ever try this challenge for myself i would exclude the rules with the no use of car or random weapon to go faster as i would have no patience to deal with that movemeny
I shoulda said no fast travel too. Oh well
I did this my cousin convinced me that If I did this it would make my caricatures all lvl 62 (this was max at the time) he also said no ability’s
Yeah I'm not sure having the car would make this that much easier, considering the main challenge seems to be staying alive in combat.
Honestly the easiest combat when it comes to mobbing out of all my challenges so far but the word easy is relative XD

You have big balls keeping that gun for a whole game I always just do it for xp and throw it of the cliff in lynchwood
Also the fact that you also did it on a mode that I would not get to 0p 1 on on the ps3 version is even better you just went above and beyond to show that even the bane can complete the game

For even more pain pair the bane with the fabled tortoise for extra slow ness
I tried that and it seems that the bane just overrides all other speed changes so it didn’t really do anything sadly.

Use the Grog Nozzle, one life, OP10, nothing but the Grog Nozzle, meaning no class mods, grenade mods, only basic shields, no relics, no cheesing, and to top it all off, beat the game within 15 hours. You can do it. I believe in you.

When I beat handsome Jack, I killed him with bane after the "I am the God damn hero" quote.
Two of the craziest things I learned about this weapon is that not only is the voice from Tiny Tina's VA, but the voice that plays while firing will always play regardless of volume settings.
Yep, you can literally disable every single audio setting, music, SFX, and dialogue, and it will STILL play.
You can never escape it
This just proves the bane is the best gun in the game hands down

Everytime I see you run in this challenge I think of that old Spiderman cartoon of Spiderman running incredibly slowly
When i first played borderlands 2 i just muted the game and didnt really pay attention to the story while playing podcasts in the background i thought the bane was supposed to be used as a heavy machine gun wherein you entrench yourself behind cover...i didnt know about the screaming for years
So that's what happened before Maya get killed
I would have been happy seeing this run completed even if you had used a car [for travel], that seemed like quite the arbitrary handicap, but you went above and beyond and I gotta respect that.
The Bane is a great FFYL weapon when u r leveling up.
"Can you beat Borderlands 2 with only the quest weapon guns of Marcus's Maliwan Pistol Range Fire, Shock, Corrosive, and Slag quest?
Or beat Borderlands 2 with only the Doc Mercy E-Tech bandit laser rifle. (Saving and quitting changes the elemental).
You can move the quest forward by completing the quests in order, but you stop with the slag one.
Maybe you can come up with more/better additional rules.
Your a legend, most people dont have the tolerance for video games like this, I loved watching this and your sir earned yourself a new sub.

Blowing up the pipeline that way only works with the sawblade technical. Some weird thing with the hitbox, but it's the only vehicle that only needs to be driven close by for the mission to proceed.

@@LilGasmask You might already know him, but Joltzdude139 has made some great playthrough series where he’ll show some tips and good skips for maps. Only downside is you kind of have to hunt through the videos for specific ones sometimes.

OP10 is an optional challenge to increase the level of your enemies and gear past your level. Being under levels still gives them a crazy damage reduction and make it really hard.
I played with the Bane on Maya on level 72 UVHM and it sure is viable for all content. I was using Slagga or Grog Nozzle when moving and slagging, then pulling out the Bane and the turret goes brrrrr
I remember there was a bug that let you have the talking weapon sfx even when you aren't wielding it, i maaay have driven my friends nuts with the gun

16:07 A clip is a device, other than a speedloader, used for loading a magazine or cylinder. Since Hyperion SMGs use caseless ammo, their "magazines" could also be called "cassettes" like with the Heckler & Koch G11K2. Ackchyually, I don't know for sure if that's universal nomenclature for all caseless guns, so don't quote me on that. Also, the G11's cassettes reciprocate which is weird.
Near the place where leave after the fight is a place where you take no damage at the warrior fight
Salvador is OP, however the effects of the Bane stack so holding 2 doesn’t actually benefit you at all

I just started playing the BL series. When playing BL2 I got the Bane and thought the game glitched cause I was moving so slow. Played about 30 min until realized it was the stupid gun.
It probably has you skip the knuckledragger fight since that'd put you in that train, and given all the bullshit you've been through to get UVHM, that train is nothing. So skip Cl4p-TP's place, meaning no Knuckle Dragger
I think this is the only one that kind of made me ask, "Why would you do this?" Not that I don't see the amusement for those of us watching.

Yeah if you check out my other vids I usually tackle the DLC that my gear comes from! e.g. I beat the hammerlock DLC after I beat the main game for my elephant gun run. Captain blade video I take on pirate dlc etc

I think they let you skip knuckledragger as less experienced players may find him a wall coming with lower op level/difficulty gear and no real way to farm gear outside of him and a few bullymongs.
Imagine...if you had to beat every dlc with only the bane.
Suggestion? Just want to know how long it takes for you to finish a challenge, so is it fine if you just add the total time when you finish your run?
Ps yeah you said it near the end your run time. Maybe i just want to see it during your whole gameplay
I’ve been thinking about adding a small timer to show how long it takes, gotta figure one out that saves progress in between days.
