Having a website that says "sold out" instead of a website thats been taken down imo is much better. Sold out indicates that your product are actually in demand whereas a website thats inactive/taken down due to restocking gives the impression that the business isn't managed as well. Also if your products are mostly sold out instead of completely sold out, it gives the customers a good idea of which products are popular vs. the rest
You have to see it from the business perspective - if all the products on the website are sold out how are you making money? Most people when they see a website completely sold out they're clicking off. Why? Because they can't buy a product and thats when you as a business lose money... and customers! Its also giving "lack of inventory management".
@@user-mn8hb2dh2q you can add a text that says come back at "so and so date" where all products will be back in store, or create a preorder link. I agree that website domain itself costs money, so if thats the reason why the website is being shut down, that would make more sense for me
As a business owner I can tell you Jazmine is absolutely right. A 'sold-out' site isn't a good look. A site closed for restock allows us to collect emails and build our list. On the back end we segment all those new emails and give them a special discount code to use at restock! That's the smart way to do it, EVERYONE WINS! PS: the domain is NOT shut down. The shop is simply put on vacation mode which displays one page and that's where your restock message goes including your list builder.

hello Jazmin, thanks for sharing your day and process of starting a candle business and managing your time and running a full fledge business on your own. Pre-pandemic, I wanted to do a small business for myself. Then I suddenly think of candles but didn't know where to start. Got lazy, not motivated and unsure how to start. Thought we are now almost post pandemic, I like to get my ass off and learn how to. Thank you for being a source of inspiration and being very real about it! xo

I literally was talking about starting a candle business a couple months ago but my schedule was so busy and money has been tight. No im home due to having covid and I was able to come into some funds and I took the opportunity to go ahead and start my candle making journey. I'm going to start with wax melts because I feel they're easier and a good way to get people invited to the different scents that I have to offer and then I can lead them to my website to buy the actual candle. One day I hope to be in you position where I have a higher demand for my product. Thank you for the inspiration. I feel like it's a sign that I need to take this as seriously as possible because good things are coming. We have the same name it was meant to be lol. Thank you so much.

You may know this already, but a simple way of organizing ordering is the reorder card method. Print "REORDER PART #______________ on a bright-colored card. Then stack up the packs of, for instance, glue sticks, with the card on the second pack from the bottom. When the employee pulls the pack off the stack and reveals the card, they take it out and hand it to you. Then you have a physical reminder to order more. Your story is very inspiring, and I hope you have many years of success.

So precious to see her with her son. Hard working and very intelligent woman!
She's sooo charismatic! And candid and love her voice and how eloquent she is.
lol love the intro and the reality of hard work that Jazmine is doing daily, love it!
I don't even know you I don't know how this came across my feet but I'm happy I found it and I just want to say congratulations on the success of your small business and thank you for showing people how much hard work actually goes into it and if you work hard you will succeed no matter where you came from good on you
What a great comment R E. 😀💖We really appreciate it. We're so happy the video came across your feed as well. Success looks different for everyone but hard work is usually a step that can't be missed. Please check out a few of our other videos and let us know what you think!?
Wow I love her energy and trying to make something beautiful out of a shared bad time (the big C). Also appreciate that she has such a logical and caring approach to her business especially how she pays very well and also incentivizes her employees by getting them to treating it like it’s their own business with a 3 month review. I hope to purchase from the team someday soon and wish them all an abundance of prosperity 💕
Can’t stop watching this! Just finished the interview video and I’m now a customer!! ❤
I saw the first video, and it is so nice to see a follow up. She is a great vibrant personality. Translates to viewers. I was drawn to this channel because of her storyline. Thanks for the update. I truly enjoyed it.
So inspiring ❤. I want to start a candle business too but I am currently looking for the space to make and store what I make. Keep going, you’re inspiring us who are just starting and setting a good standard. Stay blessed 🙏🏽
Thank you for watching Lidabear. 😀We are so glad the video inspired. We're excited to get an update on how your business is going and we believe you'll do great. Have you started a business plan?
I love people like you with pure honest drive and ambition! Such an inspiration! I hope to have my own line of household decor one day. Starting out with etsy, then hopefully amazon, then my own website.
Actually both!! You get to see both her work and the interview answers a lot of question myself or anyone may have. Love these videos!!
hello Jazmin, thanks for sharing your day and process of starting a candle business and managing your time and running a full fledge business on your own. Pre-pandemic, I wanted to do a small business for myself. Then I suddenly think of candles but didn't know where to start. Got lazy, not motivated and unsure how to start. Thought we are now almost post pandemic, I like to get my ass off and learn how to. Thank you for being a source of inspiration and being very real about it! xo
I absolutely love how genuine this lady is.
Jazz with BLK Sunflower has been a true inspiration. I very recently began my start-up Jas'Nique Candle Co., also in WA LOL. The lessons, tips, and advice offered by Jazz have helped me with the start of a great foundation. I look forward to tagging along further on your journey.
That is awesome to hear you jumped started with Jazz's insight. How long since you started?
She’s so inspirational. Her voice is soothing and welcoming and I was very interested for someone with an attention span of a pea. Very proud and inspired.
You have the most relaxing speaking voice.
Damn I'm in indiana min wage is still 7.50!!!!!!!!! Maybe it's time for a move!! So proud of you I'm getting my candle buisness up and running this weekend!! So empowering!!!
Im so happy to see her back again 🎉 congratulations 🍾 on your business and being a mother of survival 💪🏾 it makes me happy to see our black women making it happen!! Thanks 🙏🏾 for the knowledge. Im starting my own candle business now 💪🏾🎉🎊🍾🥳💕

Wow lizzy this is supper cool!😀💖 We love when people share their personal experiences. There's not much Jazmine's hasn't done! Thanks so much for sharing. How long ago has it been since you and Jazmine worked together?

You may know this already, but a simple way of organizing ordering is the reorder card method. Print "REORDER PART #______________ on a bright-colored card. Then stack up the packs of, for instance, glue sticks, with the card on the second pack from the bottom. When the employee pulls the pack off the stack and reveals the card, they take it out and hand it to you. Then you have a physical reminder to order more. Your story is very inspiring, and I hope you have many years of success.
Thanks for this Barbara.😀 Are you in the same industry?
@@UpFlip I'm retired now. I used to run a sewing room and design prototypes for safety products. Textiles were ordered in large quantities from diverse global locations. It was not acceptable to run out of something.
The thing, Jazz, is legit such a sweet soul and chill person, she walks around giving people the golden ticket and forgetting it’s going to come back 10 fold. Well…in her case 10,000 fold.
I love love her energy! You go girl! I just watched the first video last week became super inspired and motivated to get back to it… and to see this video a few weeks from launch makes me super excited! Thank you again for such an amazing video!
That so nice and supportive of you Elan. We really appreciate your feedback. 😀This was an amazing interview. Are you into candle making as well?
@@UpFlip I am and have been playing around with it for a few years and never did anything to it… But when she stated “she was forced into doing something due to covid” I completely understood because I too feel the same way recently. Thank you again for posting such an inspiring video. I’m grateful for it!
What a great person Jazmin is! I loved watching these vids, so genuine
Welcome back girlie! I’ve been waiting on this! So proud of you!
3:44 - 3:46 That was the fastest workout I've ever seen! I couldn't even take of my jumper in two seconds like you did. Respect.
Thanks for watching Tomas. It was pretty fast. 😀Would you ever get into this type of industry?
@@UpFlip 100%. I'm art n' business oriented so I should try. I actually have quite unique business venture on the go, but got stuck with Covid and now with Uk/Ru war. Now, I need to find a way to US and start. Long journey ahead, though...
Thank you for the nice tips. I placed an order for shipping supplies tonight! Also, the idea of taking product photos with a fabric background was very helpful. Much appreciated.
Go The Fabulous Life of Jan. You can do it. 😀We're so happy to hear the video and information was helpful. Will you make the same type of candles?

Wonderful to hear Abby. Everyone kept saying they wanted a follow up. 😀Should we do a follow up video with other guests we've featured on the channel?
@@UpFlip I’d like to see more with the pressure washing guys. The real estate, car and yacht guys didn’t inspire me much at all. They seem too far from realistic IMO.
You are an amazing woman!!!! Thank you fir sharing your day with us!!! May god continue blessing you!!!!
Necessity is the mother of invention. Good Job on your re-invention of yourself. You are an inspiration.
This is a good perspective Daisy. Thank you!😀 Have you checked out Jazmine's first video on the channel?

This is the first time I watch a video like this. I could not stop until the very end because it is just very interesting, informative and inspiring. Congratulations on your success, lots of hard work yet you seem fullfilled and that is great. Oh, your video came up while I was looking for reviews on candles. It is more complicated than I thought to find the right quality candle, the more I look and read reviews the harder it gets. Go figure ....lol
Glad you love this video! Hope you also watch our other content and find value in them. Any business you want to see next? ☺️

I saw Inay, Balikbayan, Bibingka and Manila from PH here. Looking forward to my successful journey as well 🥰🥰
I loved her first feature, I’m glad to see her again . 👍🏿👍🏿
Great video, Jaz seems very passionate and happy with her business. I'm thinking of starting a candle making business but trying to figure out how to stand out from others. It's amazing to me Jazmin's success with very basic jars - I was thinking eccentric jars would be the way forward.
Okay, I am new to making this leap - just so friends and co-workers can stop asking me lol. But, anyway, the foam board is GENIUS!! I saw the single and the double wick press. $25, 35 dollars. Just starting out - every thing is a stretch. Thank you!!
Yes and she’s back again!!!! I can’t wait until you guys do me next lol Love Love Love the great advice!!! Keep on going!!!
Thanks for supporting the channel Meagan. We can't wait to get you featured either. 😀What type of business are you in?

Love your motivational, encouraging, inspirational story......
Wow. She’s pretty impressive. I’m looking for inspiration to relaunch my whipped body butter products and she’s on point. She’s very engaging and business savvy. Wow.
When I was younger I worked at a place that sold aroma products.. I worked in the candle department. We worked with a stove and extra large pots. It took a while to melt down blocks of wax. Plus had to make sure scent and colors just right. 🤗 We even made small wax shapes . It was for those melt down kits. 😁
I absolutely love this video. I love the business owners motivation. I don't know but this video makes me feel a certain way it makes me feel good.
And ask for you and up flip, your content and interviews are the best.
