FRAGRANCE PERCENTAGE CHART:
We've received HUNDREDS of emails requesting our Fragrance Percentage Chart that was created here at BrewMill Candle Company and has been a GREAT tool to help our candle making efforts easier. I've tried responding to each and every email but I can't keep up. I had to add it to our store so you can get one yourself.
For a copy of yours, please visit our website at www.brewmillcandlecompany.com and search FRAGRANCE PERCENTAGE CHART in the Shop. This will be a simple downloadable product and all we ask is you give a small donation that we will put towards our Animal Shelter Fund. Each quarter we give a percentage of our proceeds to local animal shelters to help an animal in need. Your donation will greatly help that cause. Thank you for your interest.

I am so very grateful to have stumbled across your channel 😃 I have made candles for years. However, I have MS and pouring has gotten increasingly difficult over time. Your use of the pancake pourer is the greatest of ideas and has been so helpful for me! Thanks so much ❤️
Using the pancake pourer is so clever! Awesome 👌

Your voice is so soothing. ❤
out of everything i have seen to make candles i think your pancake poorer is one of the best ideas for candles.
I literally couldn’t do this job without it
Ok I had to come back and say thank you! After watching your video, I decided to try blending 6006 and soy, as I wasn't fully happy with both of them individually. Looks promising! Also, I don't know why I didn't think of this, but cleaning everything with the heat gun + hot water... what a game changer. It feels a lot cleaner now wow!! Big thanks :)
Oh I’m so happy this video helped you. Thank you for watching.
Great video! Shout out all the way from Cape Town!!❤
Thank you for sharing! I just purchased your percentage chart online. 💛 also I am 100% ordering those pancake pourers... Love it!
Thank you and yes you’re going to love pouring with it. So much easier 😊
I would love to get the chart but couldn’t find it on the site?

Welcome.
Thank you for share everything about candle making step by step ❤
this was super informative and very entertaining to watch, thank you!
I loved it. I never made candles before. I felt like I was watching a documentary on it. The one time you mentioned “repetitive”(pouring hot water), really wasn’t at all.
Welcome to my channel and thank you for watching 😊. I appreciate your comments. The cleaning process portion of the video was (is) important to me as I’ve been asked ALOT about my process as this is an ongoing concern for Chandlers in our industry so I was thorough in showing how I do it without cutting anything out in the editing. I figure there’s always a fast forward option if anyone wants it 😊
I love the scent wax percentage sheet you have up on the wall, it makes it so much easier. How can I get one 😭

The pour thing is amazing ,I never thought about that .
It’s been a game changer for me 😊
It's the voice...LOVE IT
Aw shucks *kicks rocks* lol Thank you
Those wax soaked paper towel make a great fire starter. I use to roll each paper towel and then twist them. Store in a ziplock bag. Then when I go camping I have nice fire starters
Great idea!!!!
You really made clean up look so easy
Sometimes my cleanup at the end of the day is draining. I’m tired by then and it would be so easy to just leave it until the morning. But by then everything is hardened and triple the effort, so I do this. And it is a bit time consuming but it’s nice to start each day with a clean work area and clean tools. I get a lot of questions on my cleanup so I went into more detail on this video on that. Thank you for watching.
Hi,
This is such an awesome video and very informative. I can't wait to change up some things. Your voice is very calming too.
Thank you for watching and the kind comments 😊 My grandson tells me that about my voice all the time 🥰 My adult children would say it’s not the voice they were raised with 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you so much for this video. I have been searching UA-cam and the internet for the candle making tips and tricks for the last few weeks and I must say that I love your process. I like how everything is organized and streamlined the whole way through. I have subscribed to your channel and I can’t wait to see what else you have to offer.
Thank you so much for watching and your kind words. I searched as well when I was starting and decided that it was time to help those just starting out as much as I can. I’m happy you enjoyed this video. More coming 😊 stay tuned
Thank you so much for the preparation process no more mess !!! 🙏

This was so relaxing ☺️
I agree. One of the major attractions to candles is helping you relax. It's neat to have a can't-making video that’s relaxing as well!
This so cool would love to make these sented candles
Excellent video! I definitely need to get a wax percentage sheet! 🤩 also so neat to see you’re from St.Albert!! I’m from Edmonton :)

this is the best candle video I have watched - can you tell me if you have tried pouring your fragrance at a high temp VS the low temp - which worked better thank you so much!!
Aw Thank you so much for this comment. This is exactly why I do this 🥰 So with THIS blend I heat to 180 on my Digiboil, but I set it to 176, I don’t know why it’s off but 176 gives me 180 from the tap. And I do not always empty it each day. Some days are small batch pour days and so I just turn it off when I’m finished. Re-heat next day, as long as I don’t leave it on and burn it, which I can’t do on the Digiboil, but you sure can in a double boiler, it’s always fine. I never put any additives in, no FO, no coloring, no Vybar, no Coconut Oil. Just wax. In fact I don’t even mix my blends in one Digiboil. I have four Digiboils with their own designated wax. All my blending occurs after the pour. Hope that helps with that question. Now onto FO and temps. With THIS blend I heat to 180, add FO at 145-150 and pour at around 130. This works great for me. I’ve done all other ways and this is our method for all pours with the soy paraffin blend. I was struggling with sinkholes with IGI6006, by mixing it with C3 and cooling before I pour, I get a great candle with smooth tops.
Now with my C3, I don’t even use a thermometer anymore. Heat to 170, Digiboil set to 165, and I just pour, add FO, stir full two minutes and pour. No waiting, no temp checks. And it’s perfect every time.
You gave such great information. Really great video.
Thank you
So helpful. Thankyou for sharing 😊
Thank you for explanation.
Wow!! This was a great video!! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Great video. I'll be adding a pancake pourer to my shopping basket! What a great idea! Who'd have thought?
Right?? It’s been a game changer for me! I’ve been using mine for so long now I couldn’t even pour without it if I tried lol

Compliments to you!!
Thank you 😊
Nice assembly line you have going :)
Simply Beautiful.
Loved your video. It was very helpful
Thank you 😊
Interested and intrigued to start making candles, and just wondering if your chart for scent - wax percentage chart is a general formula used in candle making or that of your own device.
Very informative video, Thank you for sharing. I want to know one thing, your morning batch had capped bottles, which you said, were still Warm. Can we put the cap on when the wax is not completely cooled? Pls tell me when is the right time to do so?
Love this! May I ask the ratio of your soy and peraffin wax blend please?
Thank you for sharing this was very informative and entertaining. I'm off to binge watch ur videos lol
Thank you for subscribing 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Love your voice! So soothing. Wh here can I find those stirrers?
So many great tips
Nice and informative video.
Great video. You’re the first maker I’ve seen pour your fragrance at that low temp. I’m curious how you found that works rather then pouring the fragrance in at 180’ish?
Thanks Jeff 😊 I tested 10 degrees at a time starting at 180 as suggested, I set my Digiboil to 176, this gets it to around 180, and breaks those molecules down. I found my candles get strongest HT and CT if I add the FO around 145-150 (I see I didn’t show that in the video, I only talk about pour temp). I POUR around 128-132. Once I add my FO, it quickly clouds over and reduces the temp to my desired pour temp. The reason for the test was the thought the higher temp (180) was burning off my FO, and after much searching I found the Alex Method (this is for soy but I thought I’d try it with my soy/paraffin blend) and this produces really strong candles for me.
Heat to 180 ~ add FO between 145-150 ~ STIR A FULL TWO MINUTES to really bind that FO to melted wax molecules ~ pour between 128-132.
This wax is a blend of 6006 and C3, I have four Digiboils. Two are C3 only, one is 6006 only, this third one is the blend. It’s a small amount of paraffin which produces a harder wax plus a stronger scent than straight C3, and a creamier finish than just 6006.
@@brewmillcandlecompany awesome! Thanks so much for such a detailed reply :)
I use 20% paraffin in my blend as well, what a difference it makes. I’m pouring a tester or 2 today and gonna try your method, it makes complete sense :)
Thanks again! Such a great video!

It's midnight Sunday June 16, you said that you had a downloadable fragrant chart so I went immediately to your website and yay somebody in Alberta Canada yet but I kind of knew that when you have boxes of uline candles jars because there is nowhere else to buy anything but I tried to do that down pay for it and do it twice so I hope I didn't get hit my credit card twice and what did the the wallet the wallet mean what is the wallet anyways the wallet at the couch thing now has 10 bucks in it I hope that isn't my credit card I don't know I'll try again tomorrow... I'm going to go listen to the rest of the video.
Thanks for the great video and so glad I found your channel! Please can you tell me how long you need to leave the candles before they're ready to ship out? Thank you :)
I cure my candies for three weeks.
@@brewmillcandlecompany OK, thank you :)
Very nice!!! Thank you.
Thank YOU for coming here to watch. Subscribe for more fun videos coming.
Do you mind if I ask the percent blend you use. I've tried C-3 and IGI 6006 and both have things I do and dont like but am very interested in the blend you are using. If you would rather keep that to yourself I completely understand, I was just curious. Either way thank you so much for this video. I has alot of good information for us new people. Thank you again.
Oh I don’t mind at all. I blend 50/50, which results in approximately 65/35 blend.
IGI6006 is 70% Paraffin/30% soy
C3 is 100% Soybean wax
Equal volumes of C3 and IGI would reduce Parafin by 50%. Therefore Parafin in the total mixture is 70% x 50% = 35% Parafin and 65% Soy. It’s a nice blend.
@@brewmillcandlecompany Awesome and thank you so much for the reply. Also do you use colors in your candles? I'm curious about if you have any problem with frosting at all with colors with that blend?
Wow amazing
What size are these jars I just recently got some from Amazon and don’t know what size label to put 🥴🤣 love that paper u got with information of how much FO to use smart
I love the neat top part of the candle, my wax usually cracks or breaks or tiny tunnel is formed. Is it the temperature of the wax?
Oh I’m sorry, I missed this question. I’ve had that happen as well, I believe it might be the room temp. It’s nothing a heat gun can’t fix. It could also be the temperature you’re pouring at. Have you tried changing a few things?
If you can see this. Where did you get these 3 spout glass measuring cups? Ty
I love your voice 😍
Thank you 😊
Yeah and also I wanted to say that I will start my business at home what kind of stuff do I really need since I am in the budget what can you advise me
You need wax, fragrance oil, wicks, vessels, something to melt the wax, measuring cups, and a lot of patience testing and testing and testing some more. Good luck and have fun.
Nice job
Thank you 😊
I've been reviewing several candle companies on the temp to pour fragrance. You are both 128f-134f. I always thought fragrance should be poured at 185f, as per Black Tie Barn & Standley!
You're correct, that is a correct temp BUT with the blend I use, I tried it at a lower temp and got GREAT results so thought I'd share. At the end of the day, go with your gut. Thank you for watching.
Perfect presentation. A lot has changed since I made candles about 10 years ago. Have watched so many vids lately but only sub'd to your site. Got very expired by you. Thanks
Thank you so much. Are you getting back into it? Maybe we can all get some tips from an old pro 😊
Could you please do a tour of your home basement kitchen/work station? I don’t care if it’s messy…. That’s actually better because it’s real! Fabulous work girl!!!
I already have a tour posted. Check out my other videos 😊
Newbbie here :) Everything i read says to add fragrance oils at or around 180-185 degrees. Have you found any real difference between adding in the 180 range vs 130, or does it have little to no affect on scent throw?
I add at 150 with my soy 444 it throws better for me
@@jseek2512 thank you very much
Wow this pancake pourer makes perfect sense! Can I ask what size this is? They sell 600ml and 1200ml. Ty for the content!❤
Hmmm...I've never checked. I just buy off Amazon and LOVE IT. I don't have a very steady hand and needed to come up with a better plan. This worked PERFECTLY.
