  • What is a typical day in the life of a cleaning business owner? In this video, Chris Mondragon of Queen Bee Cleaning Service gives us an inside look into his daily routine.
Learn step-by-step how to start your own cleaning business with Chris: hubs.li/Q01PV4Xj0
Chris started Queen Bee with his wife in 2015. His goal was to achieve more financial freedom than he had as a car salesman. In the years since, he’s grown his cleaning business to an average monthly revenue of over $125,000. Along with running his own company, Chris now helps other entrepreneurs start a 7-figure cleaning business through online courses and coaching.
We’ve heard Chris’ advice on how to start a cleaning business in past interviews. Now, you’ll see a day in the life of a millionaire business owner as we follow Chris through his day. Along the way, he shares valuable tips about how he plans his schedule, communicates with customers and employees, and ensures his team is efficient with their work. He’ll also share some insights into how he finds Airbnb cleaning jobs and why that’s his main focus for Queen Bee.
This information isn’t just valuable for people in the cleaning industry. The biggest takeaway from a day in the life of a successful entrepreneur is how they use their time effectively. Chris talks us through his morning routine and the small habits he’s developed that help him make the most of each day. If you’ve ever wanted to see behind the scenes into the life of a million-dollar business owner, now’s your chance!

Cristobal, I am really impressed with your business and process, but there is one thing I don’t understand, how can you possibly charge such high per hour rates for cleaning? I am in the NY market and when I look at cleaning fees they never go higher than $100 on Airbnb. How can the Airbnb owner afford to pay you $250 or $350 an hour to come and clean every day? That seems very difficult when the majority of Airbnb properties go for less than that a night.

16:11 Entertaining vid! .. I’m still kinda lost tho lol. I’m watching while getting ready so maybe I missed something, but as a detailer I really just wanna know some type of price breakdown because I know how much airbnb charges a day and always seem those are hard customers, but I follow a lady on TikTok saying she does 10k a day, with offices, like 250 a office that she cleans in 30 mins.. like wtf and she changes up the time a lot.
I was confused on whether he was cleaning, or teaching courses or airbnb itself for the first half 😂 but I kind of get it now, but still all the extra vlogging, and gym and daughter drop off is cool lol but more so filler for me, I wanna kno how he doing 4k a day, somebody explain

I worked for a company like this once. As a cleaner. I had to provide all my own cleaning supplies and the driving was awful. I was maybe getting paid $15 an hour with all the driving and supplies. Then Covid happened. Then it ended. And I was invited to do private homes. I get paid $45 an hour. They provide all their own cleaning supplies plus they clean their own rags. And the drive is 2 minutes. Plus I’m cleaning for families, not random stranger germs. Maybe this is a good business for him. But I prefer to do my own private home cleanings. I can choose my
Clients/homes. And get paid 3x as much.

I was driving 30-50 miles per day to pick up linens. And they didn’t always provide a washer and dryer. What a nightmare. So I was getting about $10-15 per hour. That’s like way below poverty level where I live.

you act like 22-25 is some outrageous wage in todays economy. 22-25 is what 20 was a couple years ago. Of course this will vary state to state, but for the most part 22-25 really isn't crazy unless you're working some OT.

Why don't you guys buy your supplies wholesale from a supplier? The same place the dollar store or Lowes buys from? It would be like buying paper supplies from Staples instead of Uline. Plus they deliver. 🦧 Respect and props to all you have achieved. I don't have a Multi-million dollar business. I have been a manager for one though and have been responsible for ordering from vendors. (Maybe it has to do with order size?)
