Jimmy Fallon did an interview w/ Mike Myers and Dana Carvey and they mentioned that they filmed Wayne's World in a corner of the SNL set that "sketches usually went to die" and with how successful Wayne's World became, they broke the "curse of the corner". They filmed the sketch usually at the end of the episode, and so everyone was usually pretty tired by that point so that's why myers and Carvey did a lot of shouting and loud gimmicks to keep the audience engaged.
When my son had his fluffy blonde hair and glasses, his Algebra teacher called him."Garth" and he had his hair cut the next week. Way to go teacher. His hair was excellent!
For your information, the labeling that this is every Wayne's World ever is completely false, unless they plan on adding a part 4 and beyond. There were 21 Wayne's World sketches that aired as part of SNL. They don't have nearly that amount posted.
True, I wish they included Wayne carrying the groceries for Garth's mom played by Candace Bergen. ua-cam.com/video/MbPyPSOSoDU/v-deo.html Right when Wayne is about to make a move on her they are interrupted by Garth doing his dream finger thing "diddle-oo-diddle-oo" with his fingers and he stops the dream and calls it gross. "That's my mom!" And the one with Phil Hartman wearing buck teeth playing a kid called Beav who Wayne calls a big fag. But they probably cancelled that for PC.
you know the analog rainbow special effects in the intro? nothing chills my brain out more or gives me a greater feeling of nostalgia than those colors and shifts as seen on a crt. feels weird to say buy whatever, there are much worse things to get a kick out of.
I was only about 9 or 10 when these came out, but I remember Wayne and Garth. Now it's great to look back and understand all the famous people and event references.
I feel sooooo old! I used to have every word of the first movie memorized!! I would watch it on VHS every day after school when i was 11 or 12 years old
You're not worthy? Well, you're in luck, because it's NOT every Wayne's World. They skipped a LOT of them. I was really wanting to see the one with Madonna, and the other one where they talk about music videos they don't understand ('Unforgiven' by Metallica, and 'Don't Cry' by Guns N' Roses among others).
Wow, good times. Just turned 42 and caught a few of these live. I stepped out of the game a long time ago to get a better understanding of myself, and of the true nature of existence. I'm a watcher. An observer. life sure is fascinating.
She may be referring to Kant's postulation of immortality, while plausible enough on its own terms, is limited by a Western cultural bias and therefore fails in the end to be compelling.

16:10 Do they always say “It’s Friday. It’s 10:30” every time? It just doesn’t make sense when they end the skit with “LIVE FROM NEW YORK IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT!” 😆😂🤣
The and now, I still think they resemble the live action installment of Beavis & Butthead - maybe a little less unsophisticated, but we can expect that! 😅
Spy's like us had a scene where teenage girls watching MTV saw the TV explode and on said Excellent. On ET Elliott told Gertie to made a most excellent promise
I remember one of sketches where Garth was asked about Opportunity Knocks starring Dana Carvey….and Garth said it sucked. It got a huge laugh. So far I’m not seeing it.
The percentage of the work force in a trade union has been on the decline in the U.S. since at least the 1980s. So the decline of the trade union membership cannot be pinned on the fall of communism. Not unless you believe in time travel. I put the blame on the 1947 amendments to the labor-management relations act. The problem isn't what happened in Moscow in the 90s. Its what happened in DC in the 40s.
wayne reminds me of the guy downstairs that smoked marijuana when my radio boyfriend skipped out on the rent and the landlord tried to beat him up when the taxi came so he told me to wait with him and his wife downstairs but when he stood up to walk around i saw that he had a huge rip in the seat of his pants with no underwear so half his excellent cheeks was hanging out and i tried not to look orgasm

yeah but then it became so popular that they became the opening sketches
I wish Bill and Ted had a party with Wayne and Garth
Right
That would be so awesome
wyld stallyns 🤘🏽
They could swing over to Canada and hang out with Bob and Doug McKenzie. Beauty, eh!
That would be so non non non heinous man

Garth, bouncing around the chair trying to get his shwing was hilarious!!
I love how Garth vocalizes his drumroll, even though he has actual drumsticks that he could use on the coffee table.
And Dana Carvey actually plays drums too.
If he drums on the coffee table he would need to use a coaster
'Howitzer Explosion Guy'. I can't believe Wolf Blitzer is still around. I was watching that night and the war was mercifully short. Funny stuff.
Party On Wayne, Party On Garth.
Their Top 10’s were always excellent.
When my son had his fluffy blonde hair and glasses, his Algebra teacher called him."Garth" and he had his hair cut the next week. Way to go teacher. His hair was excellent!
Really? That sounds like it would have been a compliment.
@@IanHunter78 well. He didn't even know who Garth was, and he didn't like being singled out by the teacher.
My first boyfriend in high school was a dead ringer for Garth. 😅
Thank you for uploading the memories…we’re not worthy
These started in 89, same as the Simpsons, I was 6yrs old... Ahhh good times lol
You're worthy, you're worthy get up!
I was in high school or younger in those days, I also feel old but I'm loving the memories- need to watch the movie again too 🥰
They haven't left the basement in 3 days 🤣🤣🤣 If only they knew 🤣🤣
well to be fair they did make a bunch of commercials for Uber Eats and it kind of had to do with the pandemic

I'm beginning to think Mike Myers and Dana Carvey were once teenage boys cause this is a very accurate portrayal

The 90s were a beautiful decade
Indeed!
The best
ehh... It started promising, but gradually turned to shit by the end.
I'd say the 70s and 80s were better.

Wayne and Garth should do the Oscars from now on

18:40 Wayne's World accurately predicts the future of unions.

I enjoyed the Ron Perlman Beast reference.
Wayne and Garth are classic they have made it to that level
Well done camera operator having to do the sudden close-ups and keep the focus/frame.
3:46 Garth tries to high five Wayne but fails
Wayne's World predicts the Oscar winner for Best Picture - 10:02
Number 6 was a straight up prophecy
They are so funny this makes my day 😅❤

In French, a “skud” is a techno music record.
This is The 30th Anniversary of Waynes World, on UA-cam part 2
Was "excellent" an in-vogue word like "rad" in the USA in the early nineties? Is this why both Wayne & Garth and Bill & Ted use it so often?
I mean I was in school when people were still using radical but I have never heard anyone say "excellent".
Spy's like us had a scene where teenage girls watching MTV saw the TV explode and on said Excellent. On ET Elliott told Gertie to made a most excellent promise
I was also in highschool during the 90s when this was on SNL i graduated in '95.
Amina - you're obviously in the wrong place
Hawaii 2021 , by far my favorite vacation spot ! Pictures don’t do it justice 🤩
Wayne's chin shadow suggests the lighting is directly overhead
And the Oscar goes to... Dances With Wolves. And suddenly there is a rumbling in Wayne's intestines as the monkeys begin to stir. 😄
19:40 remember when that's what it was? along with Biography?
“You are watching Cable 10, Aurora, Illinois,
Community Access Channel.”
I see austin powers matured a little
The last great era of SNL.
There were some good moments in the years to come but they have been struggling in recent times for sure...
He keeps making that Ritalin joke, and as someone with ADHD myself...
I'm not even mad.
My wife looks JUST like Garth!!!😅 But a PRETTY version!!!😃
“That failed insurrection”
Reminds me of the January 6th insurrection
I feel so old
Did this sneak by the UA-cam algorithm? I didn't even see.this notification! Plus only 49 comments? And it's been 5 days!
if there was no Wayne's World
there would be no SNL
this is objectively false.
Geeez this makes me feel old
Lionel Hutz at 0:23
I just watched the Sideshow Bob for Major episode, Hutz is great in that, but of course, he's great every appearance.
It's so weird that, in the movies, most of the scenes of Wayne and Garth were done with animatronic puppets.
PARTY ON DAY 2!!!!
Oh the humanity 😅
Dan Rather NOT!
Clearance Thomas.... by a hair.
Saturday night live they should make a episodes of attack of 50 foot woman
The SNL humor hasn't changed much... Even now they talk about babes they like. Although, that's just Kate McKinnon.
Oh geez 😂
good video
Party on
Wow the first sketch is like somehow there was some influence from the mil/industrial complex. How are Wayne and Garth warhawks??
I have them
CBS coverage still sucks. But now, so does CNN, NBC and ABC.

they gotta come up with a new salute in Russia its a dead giveaway
Unnecessary zooms aren't as funny as extreme close-ups.
Every time I hear Phil Hartman's voice in the intro, it makes me sad.
A more intelligent version of Beavis and Butthead if not more insightful

Dances with Wolves is perhaps the worst Oscar winner ever… especially up against Goodfellas

Any comment on child grooming charges at your after parties?

jimmy fallon stole your career

Is that the one with Phil Hartman as Garth's dad Beev?

It is funny, not sexist. It's just a joke.
I'm fairly sure that's half the joke
They're role-playing as teenage boys... sheesh.
