Video Toaster... no kidding! The one Amiga computer add-on I could never get my hands on. I miss my Amiga computers. They were amazing! You young'uns should look that computer up, and see the affect it had on computers back in the 80s and 90s. The line is never brought up, because Commodore(the Amiga's Parent company) went out of business in '94).
I worked at a small-market TV station in the late 90s, and we kept an Amiga Video Toaster hooked up because it did a transition effect that an advertiser loved that we couldn't replicate with any of our professional editing equipment. It was a cool program for that time.
My friends and I were huge SNL fans. I remember my best friend and I being so excited for this--we saw it twice in the theater. I remember the second time, we were the only ones in the theater.
The Wayne's Underworld sketch seems to be pretty clearly parody fair use, but it's also possible they asked for permission or a license before making it (or like you said, a lawsuit/settlement happened that didn't result in it being pulled off the air).
I was going to say the same thing and that Duan's Underworld was clearly a parody and parodies fall under the fair use clause in copyright law. If parodies weren't considered fair use then Weird Al would have been sued out of existence long before his career even began to take off.
Six flags in MD had a Wayne's World themed section of the park with the car and the crash scene from the 2nd movie. The fire hydrant shooting everywhere.
One fun fact that's missing, Carvey pitched the character of Garth for his own sketch, as a teen-age science nerd, probably based on his brother. Mike was pitching Wayne as a new character the same week. SNL head Lorne Michaels told them to put the two characters together.
Actually Minty the character of Wayne was created earlier than 1987...Myers made many appearances, including as Wayne Campbell, on Toronto's Citytv in the early 1980s, on the alternative video show City Limits hosted by Christopher Ward; Myers also made several appearances after the launch of MuchMusic, for which City Limits was essentially the prototype. Myers also appeared as Wayne Campbell in the music video for Ward's Canadian hit "Boys and Girls". The Wayne Campbell character was featured extensively in the 1986 summer series It's Only Rock & Roll, produced by Toronto's Insight Production Company for CBC Television. Wayne appeared both in-studio and in a series of location sketches directed and edited by Allan Novak.
Keep up the good work Minty, it brings a smile to my face especially in these trying times. BTW how about one on Dead Alive it's a classic but I'm sure you already know that.
Is it widely known that the Stairway to Heaven part is altered for the home versions? I always find it weird that the part that Wayne is playing is nothing like Stairway to Heaven, because they only got the licence for the theatrical release.

most people probably associate that more with Borat
Your overdub of Bohemium Rhapsody was beyond great.
“Does this guy know how to party or what?”
If you're gonna spew, spew into this 👌
Actually, it's pronounced, 'milly-walk-ayy'.
Lol points to alice cooper lollol
Aaron Burr Atwood. I saw Alice Cooper last year and he opened with the song he did in the movie, which totally cracked me up.
We're not worthy!
I love Minty Comedic Arts! Wayne's World is a CLASSIC! Even the second one! Great video! I love your channel!
@@lastguyminn2324 Video Toaster. Little. Toasty. Different.
@@Riceball01 They still sue over parodies. Hell, Myers got slapped with one on Goldmember by the Bond people.
"Lifeforce" Gotta do this one sometime Minty. I haven't watched Wayne's World in years. Will have to get this one and watch again.
Don't forget other SNL movies "like It's Pat" ,and "Stewart Saves His Family".
Trust me, with those movies, you want to forget.
Uh yea, what he said ⬆️
Its Pat was a giant dumpster fire
Allow me to third the previous two comments.
Six flags in MD had a Wayne's World themed section of the park with the car and the crash scene from the 2nd movie. The fire hydrant shooting everywhere.
I remember going there and seeing that, so many years ago
Meyer's laugh in the bugs bunny scene is genuine. Dana Carvey said that out of no where.
That bit freaked me out cause his laugh is really deep and it sounds a lot older than I thought Wayne was.
Minty , I sure enjoy your shows! Thanks..
1:34, product placement!😂😂
One fun fact that's missing, Carvey pitched the character of Garth for his own sketch, as a teen-age science nerd, probably based on his brother. Mike was pitching Wayne as a new character the same week. SNL head Lorne Michaels told them to put the two characters together.
Yesterday me and the wife were streaming this and I was thinking “ why hasn’t minty done Wayne’s world yet?”
This film and its sequel did loads to help shape my way in the 90s.
"A sphincter says what?"
"I'll use the 'can I help you?' riff"
"Can I help you?"
I'm feeling saucy, I think I'm gonna buy it. Do you accept... cash? Cha-ching?
Stairway.......DENIED
That actually works, I have tried it. 😂
You are my super hero ! Keep the glasses on 🤗🤗🤗
Wayne Campbell: I mean, Led Zeppelin didn’t write tunes that every one liked. They left that to the Bee Gees.
That is one of the best lines from anywhere, ever.
How about 10 things about Spies Like Us

Why can I only give one thumbs up?
Keep up the good work Minty, it brings a smile to my face especially in these trying times. BTW how about one on Dead Alive it's a classic but I'm sure you already know that.
Ex squeeze me? I loved this film as a teenager and I still do know.
Baking powder
This video is most excellent. SCHWING!!!
Wow party time excellent !
I've always been a long time fan of Wayne's World and even though I knew everything here, it was nice to get a little refresher course on it all.
Last time I was this early it was still legal to go outside!
Another minty classic movie 10 things love this movie that you for this it’s a great movie watched it recently as well ,can’t wait for the 3rd movie.
Waynes World is a natural treasure that needs to be protected at all cost. #Shwing
Bloody brilliant minty !!
Is it widely known that the Stairway to Heaven part is altered for the home versions? I always find it weird that the part that Wayne is playing is nothing like Stairway to Heaven, because they only got the licence for the theatrical release.
I was in middle school when this came out and freakn loved it!!
