Wanted to know if and how to combine it daily with serums like Neutrogena's Stubborn Blackheads (for example can I use Neutrogena in the morning and Retinol at night, daily?). Thanks 🙏🏻❤️
My dry eyes beg to differ. Never had dry eyes until I started using topical retinol. It's probably true that there are no studies that link dry eyes to topical retinols, but that doesn't mean that it's a myth, simply research has not been carried out yet. And doctors should still be taking into consideration the experience of people they treat. Another dermatologist on UA-cam mentioned that up to 20% of his patients have suffered from dry eyes when they were treated with retinols.

Love your videos, Dr. Dray. I would LOVE to see a video from you on the Nira laser (they just came out with a new one). I see you have an older video on lasers, but I wonder if things have changed since then. Thank you for all you do for us! 😊
Request: please do a segment on the basic products that the elderly need that fit within our budget - say $50 a month. That's all skin care, face and body.
Have you seen her video "skincare in your 40s and 50s" and "must do tips for aging skin" might be helpful in the meantime. $50/month I think is do-able because most products last longer than a month.
From her other videos, she has said that the non-negotiables are a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Definitely doable for $50/month! Especially for products that can be used on the face and body.
@@Roll587then I guess I'll give up on fighting wrinkles. I guess what I'm asking for is a cheap retinol. Or is that the best least product? That's why I'm asking.
There's also her video, mature skin care: a dermatologist's tips, with lots of products. Most of her retinol suggestions are pretty standard like the neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair and the cerave resurfacing retinol or even differin and la roche posay adapalene. Also, in that mature skin video, she says that sunscreens are your wrinkle creams.
My dermatologists suggested i do the sandwich effect with Tretinoin. Moisturizer, Tretinoin then koisturizer again to prevent any possible skin itritations since i just started Tretinoin. Would it still work if if did this? And how long do i wait after applying Tretinoin to apply my moisturizer?...I usually wait 5 minutes. Blessings~
How do you feel about applying growth factors at the SAME time as tretinoin? I've heard it can buffer the tret or it can over stimulate your skin. Don't know what to believe!
Hai! Oke so no increase of a sunburn but the skin can FEEL more sensitive, maybe for example a tingling sensation. But if you experience that, does that mean your skin IS more sensitive? Because skin sensitivity can lead to more pigmentation, just a feeling of sensitivity can not.
Hello Dr. Dray! I've been thinking of starting a retinol in my nightime routine, but my staple cleanser is Acne Foaming Cleasing Cream by Cerave, but it has 4% benzoyl peroxide which I was reading may interact badly with retinol. Is this true? Should I switch to maybe the hydrating cleanser they have for nighttime and then use the acne one for mornings only? Or do you think I should be fine to just use the benzoyl peroxide together with retinol? I do have pretty sensitive skin. Thank you so much for all your advice always! 💕
Warning when I started a retinol I had to stop all exfoliating/active cleansers for awhile so I would definitely switch to am only with the BP cleanser but you may find you need to skip it all together or alternate days initially while you’re adjusting.
What about using benzoyl peroxide during the day- should you wash it off before using dapsone at night? I am nervous that there will be interaction between the two product and my skin would turn orange as a result.
Greetings Dr Dray hope u r well n 🖐Hello Every1 n Happy Wednesday😀n what a Wonderful Vid…. thanks n This is Gonna b so Informative🔥👍n Continued Blessings to All💜….

I've been struggling with acne for a little over 5 years now. I've tried many treatments and my acne seems to fade and then will pop up months later. I've been on winless and a tretinoin regimen for 6 months and my acne has completely cleared, but I've been struggling to get rid of blackheads and congestion mainly on my chin and forehead as well as my scarring. I'm not sure what to use and I've had to stop using panoxyl and things like Paula's Choice BHA because they really made me burn and breakout in the past. I don't know what to use and it feels like my skincare journey has stopped progressing. Thank you for all your tips so far but do you have any suggestions that would work well with these two products to target my specific concerns?
I’ve been using retinol by L’Oréal (serum) once a week for about 4 months. In my first week now of Adapolene. Do you get a new wave of purging when you go up ? Is this a thing, or does my past usage of retinol help in any way. My acne was terrible but I didn’t think the L’Oréal helped me. I didn’t use it as often as I was starting super slow to not cause irritation and my eczema to flare so my purge in the 4 months wasn’t really a thing. I didn’t have a bad purge per say … so now I’m wondering if a purge is on the way 😂
wondering how long term tetrinoin use affect psychiatric health, as it is suppose to have an effect. Same with the non stop exfoliation over 10-20-30-40 years.
I'm a 56-year-old post-menopausal woman whose skin has suddenly turned oily. And by oily, I'm talking about facial skin that feels as if I've slathered it with vaseline not long after washing. Any ideas?
Would be really appreciated if you could make a very in depth video on that "does tretinoin ages skin part". Bc I don't completely understand, if tretinoin increases skin cell proliferation, why would that for example then not exhaust basal cells or affect telomere length? Telemore length is influenced by skin cell proliferation, and also if new skin cells could be made from basal cells indefinitely, why does skin age then? Retinoic acid does reduce telomerase and it causes epigenome modifications and it also reduces chaperone metiated autophagy. Personally when I read the studies available on these things, it seems like it is not really that clear how these things may impact skin over a long period of multiple decades. So if you could make a very in depth nerdy video on this, so I and others can understand it, would be really appreciated..
Yaassss! It is not a competition for "going up in strength". I found my happy place with tretinoin 0.05%. I can tolerate it daily with zero irritation.
hi, just purchased a retinol with bakuchiol serum and im 17 with active acne and also pigmentation from it, can i start using it now? or am i too young?
Another question I have about using tretin. I have been using it for a few months now. I have never had any side effects? Is it normal not to have any side effects at all?
Hello Dr. Dray, I have an inquiry. I have eczema on hands. Previously my eczema is flaky dry eczema but now this is my first time having pustular eczema and when I googled it’s dyshidrotic eczema. I’ve tried to looked up what can trigger this, and I’ve observed perhaps this could be after I’m starting lifting weights and perhaps the weights contain metal that can trigger my eczema. Hence, this week I’m hiatus from strength training workout. However Dr. Dray my body feels sluggish because I haven’t exercised like I used to and only limited to brisk walk. Hence, Dr. Dray do you have any recommendations for me. I really miss lifting weights but I feel like my eczema hindered me

I have finished 2 bottles of Cerave Resurfacing Retinol recommended by you and I get compliments for my glowy and healthy skin! Definitely my favourite product ever. Thanks Dr Dray!❤
glad to hear it has helped!
That was my first retinol and it worked great. Just bought their purple pump retinol for my neck. So far I’ve tried Olay regenerist retinol cream and the BoJ retinol night cream and both made my neck red and itchy after a few uses (and yes I start slow and space the days). So far so good with the cerave retinol!!
Your makeup looks great.
Thank you so much
@@DrDrayzday The eye makeup especially. (Brush the brows though. 😊)
Hi, happy wednesday. Dr dray have you tried the neutrogena retinol with vitamin C cream, the neutrogena ultra sheer sunscreen stick or the beauty of joseon sunscreen stick? And you opinion on them? Thank you ❤
i reviewed the boj stick a few videos back. I haven't tried the retinol w/ vitamin C, but the sheer stick is great
Thank you! And thanks to you, I’m trying to follow advice and looking for a sunscreen that I can apply and reapply as I should. Hopefully the search will be over soon 😂
I had to stop tretinoin after one year, I couldn't stand the irritation
I can definitely see improvement in skin tone & texture
Did you try reducing frequency abd/or buffering with a moisturizer?
@@21972012145525 Tried it all, the irritation still persist
I now get chemical peels along with microneedling, way more effective than topical treatments
I don't need tretinoin anymore
Try adapalene!!
Thank you for the timely information regarding hormonal breakouts despite the big improvements I’ve enjoyed with my Tretinoin .
This video was so helpful and answered a lot of questions I had. Thank you!
Thanks Dr Dray!!! ❤️
Your hair looks great in this video!
LOVE the new video quality 💅💅
Hope you had a great day, Dr. Dray. ❤
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray. Thank you for this video!
Morning!
Another great video! Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge 👍💛
Thanks. Please discuss friction blisters from sandals. What’s the best way to treat them?
discussed here ua-cam.com/video/KZjUQweYgnw/v-deo.html
Dr Dray is the best. Thanks for all the amazing information. ❤
Love your videos, Dr. Dray. I would LOVE to see a video from you on the Nira laser (they just came out with a new one). I see you have an older video on lasers, but I wonder if things have changed since then. Thank you for all you do for us! 😊
Thank you so much dr dray for this video. You look amazing as always
@@keekeejenkins6162 skin care prices have gone up 20%. I think doable is approaching out of reach.
Hello, Dr Dray! Can I use spironolactone while using tretinoin?
Hi dr dray ,thank you for this vlog l love watching it 😊 ❤ xx
My dermatologists suggested i do the sandwich effect with Tretinoin. Moisturizer, Tretinoin then koisturizer again to prevent any possible skin itritations since i just started Tretinoin. Would it still work if if did this? And how long do i wait after applying Tretinoin to apply my moisturizer?...I usually wait 5 minutes. Blessings~
Appreciate the information, Dr Dray. Happy Wednesday! Hope you have a lovely evening. 💙
How do you feel about applying growth factors at the SAME time as tretinoin? I've heard it can buffer the tret or it can over stimulate your skin. Don't know what to believe!
I'd check out her videos on growth factors. I know of one dermatologist who uses a growth factor eye cream along with her tret.
Happy Wednesday Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Valuable information! 💙
Hai! Oke so no increase of a sunburn but the skin can FEEL more sensitive, maybe for example a tingling sensation. But if you experience that, does that mean your skin IS more sensitive? Because skin sensitivity can lead to more pigmentation, just a feeling of sensitivity can not.
Good question
Still hoping you’ll tell us the name and performer for your closing ditty…🎸🙏👍🎉💫 Love your channel sooo much!
Thank you for this great information!🥰
this vlog popped up on my notification and saw that it says about retinol. I immediately opened it coz I'm currently using retinol 😂😂
thanks for watching
Love this presentation today! It is so informative…. You look beautiful today and like someone else. Tell us about your beautiful hair!
Hello Dr. 💕
She has a short on this, benzoyl peroxide wash before tretinoin.
I would definitely switch to the gentle cleanser in pm and bpo in am 😊

Hii doctor good morning 🌞
Please make a video on new generation sunscreen filters like tinosorb M and also on epidermal growth factors because people's said it's actually produces cancer cells in skin ..
i have videos on these topics
@@DrDrayzdayoh thanks 🙏,I will check it out!
Happy Wednesday! Best UA-cam channel
you too
New to your channel, so you may have discussed this already, but what are your thoughts on Bakuchiol vs Retinoids?
That last point was funny haha! Applying retinol and then jumping onto the bed with lights off lol
Thank you so much!!❤
dr dray i have a question.. does it matter if i rub or pat my tret? i’ve been patting it into my skin but idk if it’s spreading evenly
hi, just purchased a retinol with bakuchiol serum and im 17 with active acne and also pigmentation from it, can i start using it now? or am i too young?
Another question I have about using tretin. I have been using it for a few months now. I have never had any side effects? Is it normal not to have any side effects at all?
I can’t use it because I’m breastfeeding. I can clearly see the difference in my skin since I stopped 😟😟 I miss it
You are awesome doctor. Respect !!
Have a great Wednesday guys xo
