MPC did that with resin and burl shavings… the resin disappears (melts?) and the shavings look like they’re floating in ice. It was pretty cool!

I love this.At first when you put the hole in I thought you had gone crazy now I see lol!..this is beautiful and a perfect table light shade.beautiful day and night.You have the beautiful glass effect because you used straight stains instead of the pearlescent ones like your friend did .His was beautiful,but not see through like this..I have followed you for ages now and your skills are getting better and better as time goes by.You always put your heart into each project 🥰

The one you said looked like mud, I thought looked like coffee. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.
I think the color was eggplant, it should have been purple and the ph in the resin changed the color, it does tend to happen with purples
