Makes me think of the Emerald Isle! The deeper green resin side kind of looks like a shoreline with trees. Very pretty.
Thank you Margaret
That green with that wood...just beautiful. That wood must have been really thirsty to take all that resin in. Great job as usual.
Thank You Thank You Joe
The witness line still shot at the end looks like an impressionist painting. Love the bowl altogether and the colour is incredible
Thank You Thank You
can you imagine the look on guys faces IF, you were able to make this back in the 40's or 50's. Youd be a wood working god in the cover of shop smith magazine. It's awesome guy. bravo!
Wow, thank you Thank you Pharraoh!
Wood lathes have been around since the 1700s, and resin since the late 1800s. I've seen some amazing old lathe-turned bowls. I would like to see the first time someone decided to combine the two and make a bowl. Beautiful work by the way.
That big crack in the log is another reason I love the resin. If wood is got big cracks just put into a mold add resin and you are ready to get er done
Thank You Michael
The Green is just beautiful.
Thank you Judeth
Love the witness line and that beautiful green crack and the whole bowl. You're a an artist!
Thank You Lucille
This one is gorgeous! The combination of the greens and the natural color of the elm, truly comes together beautifully.
Thank you so much Laurie!
What you called a “witness line” looks a bit like a beach on an island.... very beautiful looking!
Thank you Bob,
This reminds me of that great pear bowl... both showed the grain magnificently. Nicely done.
Thank You Thank You Rusty
Witness line makes it look like it’s a line of misty woods on a clearing. Love the greens against the pale wood. Beautiful piece.
Thank You Lynda, yeah this witness line didn't hinder the look any as it does most of the time
A really great looking bowl. The green has a kind of forestry look. Enjoyed watching.
Thank You John, Glad you like it
One of these days you'll find a pile of lost socks and the resin will be there with them.
Thank you, I know who steals the socks in my house, she is furry and has 4 legs, still don't know where the resin went. lol
Missing socks and plastic lids!! Now resin is added to that list. 🤨🤨🤨
I really love the intriguing ideas you get for your pieces! And that’s a pretty slick jig you made for cutting your wood in circles! 🥰😊
Thank you Stephanie
I love that green, it goes so well with that wood color. Awesome work Doug!! I'm a big fan of those resin finishes too, they are so quick and easy and wicked shiny!!
Thank you Zac, not so sure about quick with My OCD ! lol but they are SHINY !
THE BOWL LOOKS AWESOM DOUG .I LOVE THE GREEN .GREAT COLOR.AND A PLEASURE WATCHING YOU AS ALLWAYS .FROM THE OTHER DOUG
Thank You Thank You Other Doug
@@PohlBarnProductions 🤪🤪🤪🤪
I like that you care so much about tiny dimples and bumps in the finish. You have your standards.
Nice bowl, too!
I'm not a wood-turner, but I am a sculptor, and I appreciate the attention to detail in your work.
Thank you very much Adam!
Congratulations Doug !! It's a very beautiful Bowl sincerely !! Very good work !! Good Day and Hello from France !!
Thank you very much Emma!
Great colours and that crack!! Feel your pain on the bubbles and pits, love the name as well. Have a great weekend.
Thank you! Cheers!
The green is a great look . I like the look of bowl .I hope you find the resin thief in your shop😃😃😃👍👍👍👍👍
Thank You Scott
Gotta love a $1.50 homemade shop tool (depth gauge) that works as well as any aluminum alloy tool out there for $100... Nice piece!
Thank You Thomas
This emerald bowl came out looking fantastic! You truly outdid yourself! The resin loos so cool going from clear to deep green. Great job! Bravo!
Thank you Mary, I'm Glad you like it!

Right on, Thank You Cortland
A really amazing piece of art Doug. You found a perfect green combination and the grain of the wood is stunning too. Very well done my friend, thank you for sharing. 👍🌹
Thank you very much!
Ooh, my favourite colour!!! 🍀
Good choice!
I really like that. The greens that you chose are pretty. Yes, yes, I am partial to green, but still. As always, Doug, you take an ‘oops moment’ and turn it to gold. Awesome.
LOL Thank You Kris
another sighting of the central michigan yetti! nice work Doug. another great turn! big ole chunk of elm is nothing to complain about!
Thank You Zed, I know right !
Ok you call it a witness line but it caught my eye, looks like a scenery, like an cloudy sky, trees, and a lake, beautiful work
Thank You
I love this one!
Great combination of colours, looks stunning with that Elm. You definitely have that Bob Ross presence😁👍
Thank You Thank You David
Great job Doug. It's beautiful.
You need to put a sign in your pressure pot.. "resin thieves will be shot on site". LOL
Thank you Thank you Nena
Beautiful work mate - you always seem to have a great sense of the colours 👍🏻
Thank you Craig! Cheers!
Nice piece of art! Nature has imperfections in cracks and bubbles. Sometimes we just aren't able to figure out where (resin) our resources and time go.
Your still a talented woodworker. Keep it up. It's been several months since I've watched.
Thank you Christian, Welcome Back.
I really got into this one, I started humming Irish folk music because of all the green. Then when you got covered a couple times in green resin shavings, I was humming Frosty the Snowman and mixing in Jolly Green Giant commercial tune. 🤪🤪🤪 But all joking aside, this is a stunning piece. Very “museum” looking quality to it. The green just screams “precious Jade”. 🤩😍😎
Thank You Thank You
Some UA-cam history book in 2121: "Legend says he's still looking for that resin to this day..."
Love the bowel Doug! Resin as a finish is difficult, but you seem to be getting it down pretty well.
thank you other other Matt, you gotta love the auto correct some times for a good laugh ! we had a bowel movement with this one ! lol
Nice job as always, Doug! Crazy how much resin ""disappeared" into the wood--wow! 😯
Thank you Jeff, I thought for sure it leaked out of the bucket

That's a pretty piece. I like it! It's so heavy because of that hidden resin. :D
Thank You Eric, probably because the bottom was a bit thicker than I normally leave it
