I was just a kid in the 60's and a teenager in the late 1970's and was always listening to the Beach Boys. A lot of my buddies would give me a crap because their music was considered past its prime by the late -70's. Glad to see how well the Wilson Brothers music has stood the test of time. "In My Room" still brings a chill and a flood of memories from my youth. God bless Brian and his family for creating such great music to enrich our lives.

Dennis has always been so talented. He was so mentally abused by his father. Because he father was so jealous of Brian talent. I have always loved his music. Some you hear like God only knows. And in my room they strike a nerve in you. The older I have become. The one that gets me every time "God only knows " to think this young man had that much of an old soul to have that empathy to write a song like that. THANK YOU BRIAN FOR ALL THE SONGS.

In my early teens the Beach Boys gained rapid popularity. From then through now, there have been many, many great artists of all genres. I can comfortably say the Beach Boys are my number 1 favorite. Short note. It took several years for my maturity level to appreciate God Only Knows. It was just so different from their "beach, girls, cars" songs. It ultimately became one of my all-time favorites. Carl Wilson was phenomenal and as many have stated, I too find him to be the soul of the Beach Boys. Probably my favorite performance of God Only Knows is from the "Beach Boys historic concert at Knebworth House on June 21st 1980." Perhaps the happiest and most relaxed I have ever seen them. Thank you Beach Boys for having made my life better.

Brian sang and sings about things he felt and feels and wrote about things he felt and feels. He feels those things so intensely, it seems to me, that it's like when I'm swimming underwater. I can't get away from being surrounded by water, while I'm in it. Imagine not being able to get out of the water. I never met the Wilsons and it still makes me sad that Dennis and Carl are gone. Sad for their families and sad especially for Brian.

Why didn’t Brian visit Carl when Carl was dying from lung cancer? Carl prayed about it. Apparently, they had a falling out. That was Carl's wish. It's so tragic. He was only 51 years old. He even performed months before his untimely death. He was a beautiful soul with a voice of angelic sound, and a great guitarist.

when you are "mentally", and physically abused from a young age, it robs you of your childhood innocence. You grow up faster and with a "childs eyes", start to see the world through a more advanced "adults eyes". Whether you want to or not, you are forced through trauma to "grow up" faster, and because you are no longer innocent, you are made fully aware, and more mature. When ever I see a child that seems to mature for his age, I always wonder why. Is abuse always the reason for this? No, of course not, but I think more than not, "in some shape or form", there is an underlying reason. In my own opinion of course.
