  • Foods that help you sleep. This is a popular UA-cam and Google search term that bombards you with random lists of foods that are supposed to help you sleep better. These lists are often filled with beautiful videography of foods, soothing music, and buzzwords like melatonin, Vitamin B6, Tryptophan, but not a whole lot more explanation about the science behind how it's supposed to all work.
So, I decided that as a part of our "How To Fall Asleep Fast" series, I'd include some of these popular "sleep promoting" foods and do some episodes of "Fact or Fiction" to look into the science behind why people think these foods might have some sleep promoting properties and give you my thumbs up or thumbs down on whether or not it's a realistic claim to be making.
Today, we'll be looking at one of the most popular search results on foods that help you sleep... Cherries.
How do tart cherries or tart cherry juice help you fall asleep? People believe it may be related to the fact cherries are a natural source of melatonin. Stay tuned for my video and I'll give you a more detailed explanation. Stay tuned through the whole video as I'll give you some practical tips as well if you decide this is something you want to test out for yourself.
In the link below, you will find a small study that discusses some other melatonin containing foods if you are interested:

    1. I was stress eating ice cream from the container when I clicked on this. I slowly put it away. 2. Tart cherries are not only good for natural source of melatonin but pain and inflammation as well, which is what I know them for. So it really is a win win for tart cherries. 3. In noticing the other foods you spoke of nuts, grains, seeds and fruit. I noticed that all those foods do make you feel better, and aren't infused with horrible sugars that shock your brain, nerves and system. This vid made me think. Thanks.. Not having trouble sleeping these days but this will help for stress and anxiety as well! Glad your bro recommends you!

God bless you both Andrew and Brain. The 2 most honest people I've ever found on UA-cam.
I'm going to try the cherries, I tried cinnamon tea, cinnamon sticks boiled in water. I heard it helped with sleep. I think it's more of the placebo effect, because I heard it from a close family member.🤫
Andrew, what are your thoughts on OLLY gummies, Sir? They taste like crap but they work. They're "all natural" but I'm always suspicious.🤔

Losing sleep? Peter, I just checked out your handy channel. You have more subscribers than I do lol! Bless you for trying to tackle and troubleshoot printers. I'm more likely to use the good old shake it and tap it hard on top method. Keep the handy tips coming.

I disagree with how melatonin works. After 2 weeks? I disagree.
3 hours before bed? I disagree.
Just based on my own experiences and those of my children.
