LCS's were created by two separate contractors that failed to communicate with each other defeating the entire purpose of allowing them to be outfitted for any missions as the equipment were designed for either or of the ships and were not interchangeable with each other. They're notorious for being towed back into port and are considered the navy's biggest waste of money and are set to be decommissioned. This must be old as all hell.

The demise of these ships are an example of people getting kick backs. They took a great design and messed it up by having two different parties built it
Can someone please explain to me what good can come out of all these videos and articles being constantly posted that give away the specs of our military assets? I mean yeah it's cool to learn about, but does it not give our enemies an advantage?

I talk trash on the Freedom and Independence because the designers thought it would be a good idea to produce a potential combat ship with an aluminum hull and also because they are way to big to be classed a littoral ship or corvette, but in all honesty rebuild them with steel hulls and if they can navigate littoral waters, you've got a pair of sea beasts.
I got to water-skiing behind this very ship. FUN until it hit flank speed.

These ships ended up being duds and lemons. Complete waste of taxpayer money. I believe the first maiden voyage ended up in breakdown and having to be towed back to port.
