    Just a reminder, USAF Transportation Command is in charge of this Navy/Army logistics unit

    • @thomasmoran9114
      @thomasmoran9114 11 місяців тому +1

      Uh, not quite correct. The Transportation Command is a unified command which means it's multi-service. No one service runs it. Currently commanded by a USAF general, before a US Army general and previously a US Navy admiral.

      NOPE, there has been 14 commanders. 13 of the 14 was USAF. 1 was Army.
      All other commanders were less than 40 days. Which did not count. 🤷🏾‍♂️

    The equipment would be a whole lot better if Obama/Biden had not cancelled the FCS Program with the Boeing Co. in 2009. The program was started before 2003 and was scheduled to deliver the "best technology for the American Soldier" by 2017. I qualified my company as a bidder for the Soldier, Mule and ARV and as a supplier for lightweight track for the Bradley. There were over a hundred companies scheduled to participate in the SDD (System Design and Development) phase. Looking back, the FCS cost, according to Wikipedia was 50 billion dollars over a 5 year period. Clearly it was part of an effort by our enemies and competitors to destroy our industrial society beginning at our colleges and universities and extending into our research, engineering and manufacturing, using computer software a a weapon.

    The enemy does not care about war crimes. The enemy does care about sinking billions of dollars of war material, and crippling many military units, with a torpedo or missile.

      Putting military assets of civilian areas is a War Crime in itself. Also, if you lose the War then it's a crime.
      ! torpedo can end this ship.

  • @Orcaben1
    @Orcaben1 11 місяців тому +6

    Fun fact, most ro-ro ships used globally are usually civilian (merchant navy ships) that are either paid individually, contracted, commissioned or set into the specified countries law (e.g. china) that are to then transport military machines and personnel so that the ship then doesn't become a war ship, and therefore isn't a valid military target, so if shot upon, its then a war crime, and its also so that it can then blend in with other civilian ships, so when war does come, it makes the enemy think twice about opening fire, incase it's then not involved in the military, in other words, it's a HUGE gray area that many military forces love because they can take ferries, car carriers etc... chuck all this stuff inside and then be relatively safe. Then all the civilian crews, deck officers and merchant navy companies get a cool story out of it as well haha.

      Flawed logic ..... World War 2 saw unrestricted attacks on Merchant fleet,so will happen again in the event of a world conflict.smaller shipments would be needed to spread the risk. The only reason that shipping has got so big is like everything else on this planet the accountant are driving it.

      1 Mk 48 Torpedo and billions of assets gone.
      It's only a WAR crime if you lose the WAR.

    Bigger is not necessarily better. It might be if we did not have to worry about the new fast anti-ship missiles. These are American made ships with double-hulls built to military specs. with exclusively American Crews? This is what happens when the bean counters take over logistics. . . Some how I don't think so. V/respectfully, R.
