I can’t reconcile with the fact that your greatest asset is your voice, yet you became a legendary icon who is a mime. That’s insane and speaks to how multifaceted your talent is. Keep it up man!!!
Your portrait of Art The Clown was simply epic. Stunning performance and I really enjoyed the movie. Art will be up there with Leatherface, Michael, Freddy and Jason. No doubt.
Watched "Terrifier" last night. Quite a brutal watch, even for this lifelong horror buff, but I have to commend you on such an outstanding performance. You made dozens of bold and fabulous choices in your physicality and facial expressions, it was a pleasure to watch you work. Can't wait to see what's next!
I agree. I have watched horror my whole life and that movie really bothered me. Probably because so money people who seemed pretty decent died in really horrible ways (I wonder if they might have survived following Zombieland rule #2 Double Tap) and because (courtesy spoiler warning for those who haven't seen it) basically the villain won in the end. That doesn't necessarily always bother me, but in this case it really did for some reason. I also kind felt maybe the supernatural angle came out of nowhere. Personal feelings aside, well done on being one of the creepiest clowns I have ever seen anywhere at any time. I love clowns and unlike most am not in any way inherently frightened of them even when they are creepy/evil, (Big lifelong Joker) but if I met that one I'd be terrified.
Your performance in Terrifier as Art The Clown scared me to death! I knew you had to be equally funny, as scary. I'm not scared of clowns but dude you scared the crap out of me! Your impressions are amazing! Keep up the great work 😉

I find it so interesting how a skilled impressionist and voice delivery actor could also be so chilling and enthralling as a completely silent character like Art the clown. Great work!
Hi David. You are quickly becoming a 'keep an eye on me' rising character actor. I love your artistic choices with Art the Clown. Your nuanced portrayal and facial expressions left a lot to unravel and your eyes acted out your back story in a way that left me hungry for more. I put you on my top three psychological performances of the year alongside James McAvoy in SPLIT and with Bill Skaarsgaard in IT. Just like them you are brave and talented enough to reach the darkest of places. I can't wait to see more from you as Art a you cement yourself up there with the greatest of horror icons :)
Thanks so very much! I appreciate the kind words! Here is hoping Hollywood takes notice and gives me more opportunities! Nevertheless, expect to see more Art no matter what! :)

Out of curiosity, because I'm a nerd when it comes to acting and preparation: when you're faced with an enigmatic character like Art, do you prepare a backstory that helps justify/inform your performance, or do you give yourself up to the requirements of the script and not think too much about the "why"?
Oh I definitely prep as much as possible on such characters. Villains, especially are interesting to me since there is something that makes them the way they are and has led them to where they are at that point in time.
I watched Terrifier and I dont like horrors. But i couldn't help but notice that the actor impersonating the killer clown was a top class actor, mime, with incredible mimicry and phisicity notwithstanding heavy make up. Had this guy been born 15/20 years earlier he would have been a Jim Carrey or even more. Bad years for truly talented people. In every industry.
Thanks for the feedback! I agree with you that some are not as perfect as I wish. A lot of that stems from doing each voice back to back in rapid succession (plus I had just gotten over having a case of bronchitis and only had 1 day left on the road to record this). Maybe one day, I will make a newer one and take more time with each voice.

Arttttttttttt! Great great job sir. Well done. Look forward to seeing the next installment and hopefully dive deeper into Arts back story. I'm wondering if Art is tied in some way to the building he does most of his torture in, or the crazy lady carrying the creepy baby doll....perhaps Art is linked to the doll and that this lady is or was is mom.

David Tornton is to Art the Clown as Robert Englund is to Freddy Kreuger. David played Art so convincingly. I tend to stay away from slasher movies, I'm more of a supernatural horror viewer, but it was something alluring about the trailer that made me watch both All Hallows Eve and Terrifier.

Watched terrifier , the camera angles and just scene atmosphere was pretty terribly low budget, BUT YOU LITERALLY PLAYED THE BEST HORROR VILLIAN I HAVE EVER SEEN, From the creepy smile and faces you were the best I have ever seen
Thank you? LOL! As for the camera angles etc, that was actually on purpose as a throwback/homage to the old B-movies/slashers of the 70's and 80's. We even downgraded the visuals to give it an older look. But thanks for the compliments! That means a lot!
David Thornton as for the movie looks, I should have realized that, I’m a horror buff and I have seen literally every horror movie I can watch, but again you have been the scariest, even had a nightmare the night after 😂
Man you can seriously pull it off and do a sinister reboot of one of the most nostalgic movie villains. I'm talking about Fred Kruger. Nightmare on Elm Street. If you can somehow get someone in Hollywood to cast you as Freddy. Another you could do. Is become the host to a series of episodes revolving on horror. Similar to The Crypt Keeper and Elvira.. A variety of evil clown episodes would be great. So long as each story had a minimum of 6 episodes. Each episode would be a 58 minute chapter. However a lot of cool stuff would happen in each episode.
David wow you are very talented and put so much work into all the voices! I wish I knew how to do at least one voice. Anyways hope you get discovered by many producers because I loved your Character as art. To be honest I didn't think the movie would be good or even scary but it was amazing! So glad I gave the movie a chance. Keep up the good work
Was being Art something you couldn't refuse at first or were you skeptical at first to be a gruesome serial killer? Terrifier was pretty intense and I'm looking forward to the sequel. How does Art not die from the gunshot wound? Is he immortal or does he shoot himself through the cheek? It seemed like it came out the back of his head, unless it was just an illusion that the authorities fell for? Thanks. Great impressions. Would enjoy seeing an updated version.
Thanks for the compliments! I had no doubt that the character would be a hit so I definitely could not refuse to play him! We are definitely wanting to make a sequel so no worries. That might answer some of your questions as well. ;)
As for the gunshot wound, you definitely see an exit wound in the morgue scene, so it was not an illusion. We'll be answering how he is still alive in future films. ;)
Hi David!! I've just watched "Terrifier" and I'm still in shock!! I guess that you like Horror movies but it is so bloody!! Are you preparing the sequel? I'd like to know it, and yeah, just to give you all my support and congratulations, you're a very good voice imitator, kind regards from Spain, I'm looking forward to your answer! Bye David!!
The first time I saw art I became a big fan. Art has so much humor but doesn't utter a word. Name one silent killer that uses facial expressions to taunt his enemies. Hands down, your more terrifying than Freddy Krueger and all the others.

Did you tried to apply for the "It" clown? I'd like to know, because you must live in Los Angeles or near there I guess so. You are a very great actor, you made me feel scared with "Terrifier" and that is very difficult because I'm used to watch Horror movies. So tell me, did you tried?
I wish I had been able to, but no. I live in NYC. I am trying to at least get an audition for the It sequel though. I would LOVE to play the adult version of Richie Tozier!
@@morotaka79 Dear David Thornton, I don't know if you will ever read this but here we go. I implore you to please never play Art the clown ever again. If you do play him in sequels or prequels or whaterver, I will be forced to watch them because of your impressive and unerving acting skills. Frankly I'm already scarred from the first one; your facial expressions and mannerisms still haunt me. If you make more I might never leave my house because I'm terrified of freaky clowns murdering me in the night. You have too much talent so please don't do anything too creepy because I don't wanna be that 20 year old who still checks her bed and closet while leaving the night light on all night. Please take this into consideration! Thanks, Simone
Wow, this is great! For a few reasons...first of all the myriad of great impressions. Secondly, because this is apparently filmed near or around when you were trying to get started in doing voice actor work, and now you're doing it for real! And it's quite ironic that your breakthrough role is a non-speaking clown lol. It's inspiring how far you've come in just ten years!

Fun ideas!
Super talented!
David wow you are very talented and put so much work into all the voices! I wish I knew how to do at least one voice. Anyways hope you get discovered by many producers because I loved your Character as art. To be honest I didn't think the movie would be good or even scary but it was amazing! So glad I gave the movie a chance. Keep up the good work
Thanks so much! :)
He’s so goofy 😂 love him ❤
Was being Art something you couldn't refuse at first or were you skeptical at first to be a gruesome serial killer?
Bye David!!
@@morotaka79 hey do you agree with this statement that :- "the movies of a country tells a lot about the culture and people of that country"
Wonderful
The first time I saw art I became a big fan. Art has so much humor but doesn't utter a word. Name one silent killer that uses facial expressions to taunt his enemies. Hands down, your more terrifying than Freddy Krueger and all the others.
Wow! I'm flattered! My first marriage proposal! Thanks!
Truely talented! 👏 🔥

Please, reply my feedback, I need to know that you know I'm here. That's all.
Bye David!!
Thanks so much! And yes, we do indeed intend to make more films starring Art!

Dear David Thornton,
I don't know if you will ever read this but here we go.
Thanks,
Simone
I guess you better prepare to forever stay inside with the doors locked and windows shut. ;)
Wow ! This was amazing! 😂 I love em all! Especially ur family guy impressions 😂 I myself do a pretty decent stewie griffin lol I love ur take as Art the clown by the way , can't wait to see you in Terrifier 3!!
