And T3 is about to bury the $200M Joker 2 film this weekend! Just keep this franchise as far away as possible from Hollywood, cause you know they’ll destroy it. Small budget horrors are far more entertaining than a Hollywood remake of Michael Myers, Candyman, Pinhead or Chucky. Damien Leone is a part of Hollywood dipshit. He’s a small echelon but he is a part of it. Why do you think he’s a film maker? These comments are cringe.
This movie was backed by a studio. So it is from "Hollywood" in your view. Hollywood isn't an entity, it's just people and companies deciding to fund projects. I liked this movie, but Smile 2, and the Substance were also great movies that came from big studios. I do think it's important for independent film makers to get funding, which is what happened here.
Just got home from seeing 3. This is the rare franchise that gets better with every installment. Damien crafts tension like a master of horror and the way he humanizes all of his characters makes them feel more real than potential livestock for Art to slaughter. Bravo.
I just saw it a couple of days ago and I completely agree. Immediately with the first scene, my stomach started turning because within a few minutes, I could tell they were making me emotionally invested in those characters and something bad was about to happen to them. It’s actually very rare that movies get this level of anxiety or any of emotion from me. I do feel and experience things during movies, lol, I’m not a monster, but rarely do they make me feel *this* much. The Terrifier movies do. The fact that Art the Clown is named “Art” is on the nose. Good art, at its core, should be thought-provoking, and even better art will make you uncomfortable and maybe even upset. Art the Clown is a master at this. The conversations my husband and I have been having since watching the series in regard to art and morals has been so cool to see set in motion by this franchise. Damien Leone and all of the Terrifier crew and cast are amazing, I can’t wait to see what all they do next, both in relation to Terrifier and not.

Art Definitely is the biggest and most iconic Slasher since Ghostface/Scream but I still champion Victor Crowley from Hatchet as the best Slasher icon/franchise to come since Ghostface/Scream, until Terrifier 2... can't wait to see Part3!!
Hatchet and Terrifier are arguably the only franchises we've had where it's literally made for shock and gore. However, I didn't care for Hatchet 2 or Victor Crowley. I think the 1st is a horror staple and 3 has a lot of fan service in the horror community. 2 was just waaaaay to low budget looking for me. On the opposite end I didn't like Terrifier 1. @@Blainprime I absolutely love the first 3 Hatchets, they are awesome but I will admit part4 "Victor Crowley" is a tough one to get through for the wrong ressons. at the end it touches an important point, Art is the killer that the genre needed, I love the classic horror icons but Art is different from the rest being a character without rules, he doesn't follow rules like other killers, he doesn't care about anything, he mocks, he attacks whoever he wants and that's the great thing about terrifier and it was something the genre needed. Damien has given back to the genre what was lost and what characterized it, nowadays studios limit characters and directors so much that they can't bring out the full potential as he was able to do.

Was looking forward to Sam & Damien having a Terrifier 3 chat, the podcast episode they did on Part 2 was great. These guys have a great rapport, looking forward to seeing 3 tomorrow!
I'll be keeping my eyeballs on the weekend box office intake! I was a horror fanatic back in the 80s and into the 90s, watching anything and everything, but there was only 1 scene from one movie, or rather a documentary, from a release on VHS called 'Shocking Asia', in which they showed a sex change operation involving penis removal, and it was disturbing. 'Shocking Asia' Also, back in the early 80s, when I was 14-16, I found that, not Hawaiian Punch, but rather Hawaiian Punch Concentrate made for great blood effects.
I'm in Australia, not Perth where the fainting happened however NSW saw walk outs. Going to see it again but I think most people who went to the early premiere were fans, talked with some strangers at the end about it briefly
“If you go to far you alienate the audience, you do a disservice to the Art character” This right here is EVERYTHING that the modern studios are missing. They don’t care about the audience and they certainly don’t care about the established and beloved characters that have kept a franchise going.
If they didn’t care about audiences, they wouldn’t even bother making movies. Your taste have just changed. Stop trying to put your bad taste on movies studios.
He was just in my city with the producers and art the clown himself at this bar i cover sometimes and that night they were there!... great great people
The christmas theme fit PERFECTLY cuz it is a christian religious holiday that fits in with the lore of hell vs heaven stuff attached to Art vs Sienna.
I think it would be cool. Once he concluded the terrifier movie series, he should go back to the short film genre with it and do like an anthology series where there's no overarching story. It's just art the clown being art the clown
I'm sure Adam Green is seething right now that Leone didn't mention HATCHET as an iconic modern horror franchise Granted, those movies never got the mainstream success of SAW, but Adam has made four of those movies.
I also like Nightmare on Elm Street part 2. It has some issues like Pacing, and logic, but it's mean, and one of the darkest if not the darkest version of Freddy. The acting in it is good, Jesse is good the female is good, Grady is good. It's got some wierd ass scenes in it. The only issues is odd pacing, and Freddy showing up IRL, etc. But it's a grossly under rated film.
We are having so many completely depraved gory movies that GO THERE, and I feel like that says something about our collective psyche right now. There is a lot of stress, and we need some way to let it out
I do enjoy some Victor Crowley, but he's just a ravenous killer where as Art has a sadistic depraved personality. He kills with a smile and enjoys every moment of it.
I’m convinced Damien is the only director so far that bring a sequel to Freddy Vs Jason if he felt like it from one day moving on from the Terrifier franchise
I love the movies, never heard from director, very insightful, soo proud of any film maker who doesnt bend for Hollywood and let Hollywood turn real work into garbage
Honestly didn't like Terrifier 1 but not having a horror icon since Ghost Face made me watch the 2nd movie. The 2nd movie is where I started to appreciate the franchise but this 3rd movie cemented it!!! Seeing it in theaters with random strangers is quite the experience. I appreciate Damien for pushing the envolpe in a semi respectful way! It's more than gore and horror. There's some real appeal with Art the clown!!!! I also am blown away by the budgets to these movies.. Used every bit of it
I respected T2 as a movie, but it was just a little too long. Still, for a 250k budget, it’s amazingly good. T3 is probably one of the best slasher films ever

Was looking forward to Sam & Damien having a Terrifier 3 chat, the podcast episode they did on Part 2 was great. These guys have a great rapport, looking forward to seeing 3 tomorrow!
Perfect run time! Loved it
I'll be keeping my eyeballs on the weekend box office intake!
I was a horror fanatic back in the 80s and into the 90s, watching anything and everything, but there was only 1 scene from one movie, or rather a documentary, from a release on VHS called 'Shocking Asia', in which they showed a sex change operation involving penis removal, and it was disturbing. 'Shocking Asia'
Also, back in the early 80s, when I was 14-16, I found that, not Hawaiian Punch, but rather Hawaiian Punch Concentrate made for great blood effects.
The Tales From The Crypt movie scene he refers about is the one with Joan Collins and the killer Santa. A classic!
A perfect christmas movie for all the family 😊 i will be watching this great movie in the cinema Tomorrow in the UK 🇬🇧
Same will see also in UK 🇬🇧 as soon as I finish work, ticket already broughtb
Same will see also in UK 🇬🇧 as soon as I finish work
Terrifier is near the top of the list of movies I absolutely hate, but also respect the talent on, and behind, the screen.
My favorite director I love this guy so talented
Wait I literally just watched the Australian reviewers video you mentioned-spooky astronauts!
Ok
Watched it tn and omg such a great movie! From start to finish, I was in shock the entire movie and on the edge of my seat.
Tuesdays are 1/2 off , definitely going but doubt they will have any popcorn buckets left by then
I went to the early premiere 3 days ago in Chicago. Not one person walked out or puked. UK audience can’t handle Terrifier
Americans are crazy
I'm in Australia, not Perth where the fainting happened however NSW saw walk outs. Going to see it again but I think most people who went to the early premiere were fans, talked with some strangers at the end about it briefly
Peter Jackson's Braindead is still the goriest yet somehow nobody walked out. Perhaps it's not the gore.
@@runarvollan I’ll have to check the movie out !
@@Wiziliz I agree man, same I’m going again to watch the original date release in case I missed something the first time
مكرشة عليه من أول ما عرفت terrifier ب 2021 يجنننن ديميين 😓😓☝🏻🤭🤭
“If you go to far you alienate the audience, you do a disservice to the Art character”
This right here is EVERYTHING that the modern studios are missing. They don’t care about the audience and they certainly don’t care about the established and beloved characters that have kept a franchise going.
Do you mean “disservice”?
@@lianataylorr I did indeed :) thank you :)
If they didn’t care about audiences, they wouldn’t even bother making movies. Your taste have just changed. Stop trying to put your bad taste on movies studios.
My 11-year-old turned me onto Terrifier. I thought he was insane but now I get it. I love them so much!
You don't deserve kids if you let them watch these kind of thing.
He was just in my city with the producers and art the clown himself at this bar i cover sometimes and that night they were there!... great great people
Oh that's awesome! Very jealous.
terrifier is the series that if you get it you get it and if you don't you don't. it's not for everyone and that's good
The christmas theme fit PERFECTLY cuz it is a christian religious holiday that fits in with the lore of hell vs heaven stuff attached to Art vs Sienna.
I think it would be cool. Once he concluded the terrifier movie series, he should go back to the short film genre with it and do like an anthology series where there's no overarching story. It's just art the clown being art the clown
I'm sure Adam Green is seething right now that Leone didn't mention HATCHET as an iconic modern horror franchise
Granted, those movies never got the mainstream success of SAW, but Adam has made four of those movies.
Awesome Sammy!!
We are having so many completely depraved gory movies that GO THERE, and I feel like that says something about our collective psyche right now. There is a lot of stress, and we need some way to let it out
Omg he’s talking about Emma! Spooky Astronauts
This movie should be taken of the Internet and out of the cinemas directly
I liked how Art did his annoyed hate face when the Demon petted the rats and he stomped those things out the moment he could 😂
I watched it today and I loved it
Everyone mentions Ghostface as the last great slasher, completely disregarding Victor Crowley.
vitctor was not an icon. He didnt hit the marke sorry
I do enjoy some Victor Crowley, but he's just a ravenous killer where as Art has a sadistic depraved personality. He kills with a smile and enjoys every moment of it.
@cinemacola6398 Victor Crowley was just a dumb Brute who overstayed His Welcome.
Hatchet 1 and 2 where decent the rest where meh
Terrifier 3 was surprisingly amazing, Damien Leone has become an actual great director, and he seems so intelligent and sharp from this interview
Agreed. Having seen maybe 50-60 slashers this is the Nirvana Nevermind of the genre. Nothing is going to be the same with slashers now.
No movie has altered the genre like this since the original Scream movie (which also has the last most recent new and iconic slasher).
11:01 the part where he first sees Santa is my favorite part. His face lighting up like a little kid had me in tears 😂🤣
