  • Just another session of me trying to send it but really ended up slower than snail mail. One guy actually did send it into the kitty litter at the museum corner mid-way through xD He and the bike looked good though. Sorry about the no helmet cam this session. I thought I hit record but with how much crap I do to make these videos it's a bloody miracle I don't mess up more often!
    2008 Honda CBR600RR
Dynojet PCV with custom fuel map and spark correction
    Quickshifter w/ gear-dependent kill times
    Toce Exhaust w/ cat delete
15/42 sprocket configuration (-1 front from stock). Speedo was corrected.
    Filmed using Insta360's X3 & Go 3 cameras
Onboard telemetry was compiled using Telemetry Overlay and Race Render
Multicam editing was done using DaVinci Resolve

Great content as always Alix. We were garage neighbors at Nashville. You and Martin were so nice. Be safe.

i just love your videos, plain and simple, and the informational overlays too. its criminal how little people have found your channel, you need more views damn it!!!

You are very kind! I'm honestly stoked if I get even 100 views 🤣 I was just screwing around seeing what I can do but also for other riders at the event cause a lot of us go solo and don't have anyone to film us on track. I didn't think anyone else would care to watch them otherwise so it's a wonderful surprise getting comments like yours. Thank you!

That was my first track. Fell in love with that place. I like what you did with the camera view. Showing the people coming up behind you and passing you. I’m going to start doing that

How does camera view switch as soon as other riders approach from rear?

Good stuff! Arm on the tank when turning right haha, it seems like your left turn body position is much better than right turn.

The last few videos I have watched you seem to always be in 3rd or 4th in corners instead of 2nd or 3rd why is that?

You're probably talking about turns 2, 3, and 4. I think it's because of the long drive out I've ended up at the red line before the crest before and I'm trying to avoid changing gear with the bike so leaned over going up that section. eventually I'll figure it out. In other corners though I'm definitely in 2nd and 3rd.

He’s exactly right, I used to go down into 2nd gear for 2-3 and then have to switch to third going up the hill and it would upset the bike and push me out wide, now I’m in 3rd thru 2-3 and over the hill then 4th into charlottes web

Looking good! I ride a 600rr too. One thing that helped me get faster was giving up revmatching 😅

    • @alixvandurand
      @alixvandurand  Місяць тому

Really, so how do you do it exactly? Do you just click down where you need to be then let out the clutch?

    • @Master_Yoshi

@@alixvandurand First I was manually slipping the clutch, then I got a slipper clutch. With the slipper, I clutch in, drop 1 gear, dump the clutch, for each gear. I wouldn't go from 4 straight to 2. Without the slipper, clutch in, drop 1 gear, feather the clutch out. Here's a video of me explaining the why, if you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/qx7nYYt8loY/v-deo.htmlsi=Nq2QGNORwkRZYlSa

@@alixvandurand I never really do revmatching, just releasing the clutch slightly up to the point of friction or brake so hard the rear is stepping out and doesnt really touch the ground anyways and release the clutch fast but steady.

@@birgermilan31 braking really fucks me up. Like how do you know how hard to hit it? Whenever I try to do maximum I just feel the rear come up like I'm gonna flip over the handlebars.
