Just a word of praise from an absolute non-slimmer. I do support your doing this and will watch with interest, even though now I'm 75 I'm an avowed anti-dieter. Time for me to focus on other things in life, but for many years I was a Slimming World member and it's such a sensible eating plan and does work! I'm sure you'll get lots of support for these videos!

Great meals Cheryl and congratulations on your weight loss. I was with Slimming world a few years ago and reached my target. I still cook most meals as though they're slimming world friendly, I just don't count syns or anything anymore. (too old)lol. Oh thank you for this. I really enjoyed it. I tried it once many years ago when you had to chooee a meat day or a vegetable day snd chose foods accordingly from a red book or a green book. I could not get away wirh it. This sounds so much berter,thank you so much for taking the trouble to explain it. I have astonished at what lovely meals you are allowed on it! I am too! It almost sounds like they shake it up every two years the way Weight Watchers does here in the US, but Weight Watchers would not give you free rein to eat as much pasta, rice, potatoes as you wish
That was very interesting! We don't have slimming world over here in the US. I understand they did for a while but its only online now and you have to do a lot of substitutions.

Wow! I'm impressed by the amount of food you get on the Slimworld program. Thank you for sharing this information with us. It doesn't look much different from what you usually make for you and Mr. Tea. I certainly wouldn't feel deprived eating the meals you showed. The chicken skewers looks really good. I've never seen them in my area of Washington State, U.S.. Is there a breading or crust on the skewers?
Thank you for this surprise video about the slimming world food. This video will be my go to! I mentioned recently that you gave me the inspiration to join Slimming World and have lost 11 pounds so far. I had been out all day today and quickly made my favourite anytime dinner, -5% minced beef, potatoes and various veg. My only syn was some bisto gravy. Thanks again Cheryl. Now I’m concerned my wedding outfit for my son’s wedding will be a bit big. Whoopee!

Do you have a potato wedge recipe? I have to admit, the idea of pasta, rice, and potatoes being a part of slimming is a surprise to me. I'm very glad though.😁 On another note, I have fatty ground beef because it is cheaper, but I plan on rinsing it in a colander to give it that leaner count. Chili con carne is delicious! All your meals look very appetizing.

Wow, congratulations, Cheryl! I cut out sweet iced tea (i used to drink it all day long) , and limited my breads and pastas/potatoes, and I've lost 10 lbs since Jan 02. My son will graduate from high school on June 10, I'm hoping to lose another 10 =). I just started going to the gym this week, as I need to tone up my 48 year old body lol And thank you for sharing, i suppose Slimming World is a Scottish thing? UK/Ireland. I've heard of it here before, there's a vlogger in Ireland who based her channel on her results, it's called "Half of..."(can't remember if her name it Kate or Chelsea...)
I have to admit the only reason why I watch your channel is out of sheer living vicariously through you (except for all the peas…peas are my nemesis) and for the lovely Scottish accent which reminds me of my nanny as a child. If I ate either your dieting or regular menu I’d be in hospital because my gallbladder would be waving a flag and my colon would refuse to work . I know the UK diet is very heavy on potatoes and more potatoes ,gravy, meat and cheese so eating this way is part of your culture so I suspect slimming world was created to allow more compliance to dietary changes. I spent the money and went to a dietitian who has me on intermittent fasting (I’m in Canada) and since I already ate the Mediterranean diet anyway naturally it’s actually not a huge change and I’m now at my ideal weight . But whatever works for you is great but I def think more salads , fruit and veg that isn’t cooked should be a part of slimming worlds diet plan because we get the nutrients we need from raw stuff much better

You cannot achieve dietary goals with drastic changes.The UK/Scottish diet is very different than the one I’m used to in Canada…so a Canadian diet wouldn’t work for someone in Scotland and vice versa. I think the only thing I was promoting was how good it is to see a dietitian who can use your medical biofeedback and tailor a diet for you versus a diet which is generic. I am ill with an incurable disease and my diet is tailored to my disease which benefits from intermittent fasting.I didn’t suggest that or anything really apart from needing more raw veg and fruit which 90% of the world doesn’t get enough of.

Wow congratulations on the weight-loss! I am doing Keto which is totally the opposite! ha! I can eat all the meats, cheeses, eggs, etc that I want. But no fruit. No potatoes. No rice. No bread. Basically no carbs except for small incidental carbs found in some veggies and nuts. I've been doing it for 4 weeks, and its going ok.
Sounds like the old Atkins diet. Did that for a long time and loved it because I could eat as much meat as I liked and still lose weight but once I stopped doing it I gained 30lbs back in 6 months. It’s hard to stick to that type of diet when you love to eat out. I found it hard when out with friends not being able to enjoy great bread, cocktails and also the lack of fruit and vegetables. Now I just do portion control. I’ve not lost all the weight I’d like but I’ve kept 25lbs off for the past 5 years.

This diet is interesting. They could be meals for anyone who doesn’t have health issues. It works for you so that’s good.
You can adapt it though...it's such a flexible plan 💙

But I think the plan also requires that you have some sort of movement for half an hour or 40 minutes every day even if it is just walking
REALLY SURPRISED THAT PASTA RICE AND POTATO S ARE ALLOWED. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE NO NOS
