Happy Birthday Mr What’s For Tea!!!!! 60 years young. 🎉🕺🥳
Rice, in particular Basmati and Jasmine, our grandmother used to say 1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups of water and then 1 to 1 for every additional cup after that. Wash your rice till the water runs clear(ish) about 3-4 times. My little addition is to fry the rice in a little butter tablespoon or so depending on how much rice, i use a tablespoon for 2 cups of rice) before adding the needed amount of water. Cheryl please try this as well as your own version and see what you think

Lovely looking room. Happy 60th Birthday to Mr What's For Tea! My husband and I both turn 60 this year as well, he in June and me in September. I'll definatley watch the rice video mine never turns out fluffy at all.

Doing good Cheryl, that hotel suite looked rather lovely. I agree with you re fish and chips dont have it too often but when I do I really enjoy it. Living in a seaside town down in SE Kent there is nothing better than fish and chips on the beach listening to the waves coming in.

I can’t do the korma’s or curry…hubby doesn’t like it..I just about get away with a chilli..but not to often..!lovely room..and bathroom…wow🏴🤭🏴
On holiday back in Scotland I had chili at a restaurant in Ardlui it was a great choice, was actually happy for a non Scots meal that day. Everything looked great. Cheers to your husband.

Another great video as always.I totally agree with you if I am away, I away's like a full fried breakfast. I am one of these people if I opt out for mushrooms etc, I always ask for an extra bacon or sausage etc.

The servings at the Birthday out are huge and look delicious. Your rice is always so perfect. I look forward to the video. I got a jarred sauce to make some Butter Chicken. My son doesn't like Curry kind of food. I bought my first leek ever and made you Leek and Tattie Soup and we loved it. I look forward to making you new version too. I love all of your Tuna Recipes. There is a company called the Curry Sauce Company and I think their range of sauces are every bit as good as any Indian restaurant.

Thank you, a lovely week of meals. I have discovered that not all Basmati rice is the same. The stuff I bought at the supermarket is ok, but the better quality ones I buy from the Asian Supermarket are amazing. They vary so much in price, and quality, and it is very much obvious when you cook it up.

Korma looks DELICIOUS, but we’re with you, normally do spicier & sometimes a side of korma (husband, 22 & 24 year old lads) with rice, naan, bhajis, lettuce, cucumber & chutney. 😋❤️
Great video Cheryl. Happy 60th mr whats for tea. Wow wow wow , that room is fantastic, i woukd love to stay there. And the food looked amazibg but so did your home cooked meals. I love chilli & its a dish that i do crave & seeing yours , i want 1!! The chicken korma did you do it in the slow cooker ? Theat looked so nice. And your soup & rolls which almost looks like a gourmet meal , just looks lovely. I really like leek & potato soup so am looming forwatd to seeing the video. I mafe 1 of your recipes yesterdsy cheryl, the potato gratin, think it was from a couple years ago. I have made it before but that was a quite a while ago so did it again yesterday, &bit didnt dissapoint, it was delicious. Its great to see where you go on your little breaks etc , glad you enjoyed yourselves

I keep meaning to mention whenever you say you like a bit of spice - there's some folk not *too* far from you who make really nice hot sauces called 'Ooft! Sauce' (which is a great name!). The chipotle one is nice and smokey, the Scotch Bonnet one is proper hot. Worth a look if you're after a bit of heat! (and I should say - I'm not the owner or anything - just really like their stuff!)

Your dishes always look so appetizing. Another thing that goes really good with chilli con carne, spoon it over mashed potatoes. Can't wait for your next video.

The Gailes looks like a lovely place and so near where my ancestors came from (Saltcoats, Stevenston)...I want to try a curry dish. We don't do the curries here in Michigan the way you do - but I love Asian foods so hopefully if the spice is mild I can handle it! Cheers!
This ia one of my favourite wweks of all time. You woulr never want to leave that beautiful suite you had in the hotel, it was wonderful. Your fish and chips were stunnig. Mr WfT could nor have wished for a better birthday treat.
