LOL, I forgot what day it is. I made Salmon Patties, Mac n cheese and French Peas. I'll cook my cabbage and potatoes and Pastrami Tuesday.
I did make mint aero cheesecakes last week- something green for the Irish ☘️

Like the look of those fish cakes 😋 accompanied by ‘doofen wise’ potatoes, 🤭😆(see the written transcript)!😂🤣 Every meal looked delicious, I remember making those baguette pizzas many years ago when my daughter was a youngster, they always went down a treat & were so much cheaper to make than buying the well known frozen variety.

Here in the United States we can actually buy frozen French bread pizza.
Most brands are great and you get a huge variety of toppings to choose from
I am coming into this knowing it will do great harm. It is 2pm in New York and although I am Irish you cook the same food and I know it will make me cry(not literally). Okay lets go.

When I was a kid in the early 90’s - there was a period where every Thursday my mum would cook me something called “French Bread Pizza” and your Pizza Baguette looked similar.
She used to get it from a supermarket called Kwik Save - long gone now.
Then all of a sudden they stopped selling the ones I liked.
Some fantastic meals again, the balmoral chicken looks really tasty. We’re going up to Scotland tomorrow for a few days and I’m going to make sure I bring some haggis back. Thanks for sharing x

I like making baguette pizza with sliced up hotdog sausages on I’ve been doing it for the past 35 years and they are easy and quick for a supper when you can think what else to produce in a hurry.
So nice to see your meals, especially since I am in the hospital with a broken leg. It will be a while before I'm cooking again.

Monday's meal could have been called "A study in spheres" -the fish cakes, the potato side dish, and the peas were all round! 😂
I Iike melt in the middle fishcakes with boiled buttered potatoes and salad wedges of lemon and hollandaise sauce.

Your pizza looks so good. When I was a child we would use English muffins as our pizza crust with pepperoni and lots of cheese. I will have to try your version. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

I used to make French bread pizzas sometimes as a snack. After seeing your video I think I will make some again soon.
What do you think about this then, Cheryl? I've just bought something that will make meals FOR a week! A Gammon Joint from Aldi for £3.99, which I'm going to boil, like my late mother used to. Should make some nice sandwiches, and tasty meals with some nice wee tatties.
Meals look delicious. Those pizza baguettes look so simple but a very tasty tea so want to try those. I love pies & macaroni cheese so a macaroni pie sounds so good, 1 i am going to have to try that recipe.
That baguette pizza looked devine, even licked the screen. 😊😊😊No baked beans.😅😅

My thumbs up was 934. Another great week of meals. I'd love a melt in the middle fish pie video. Your pizza looks lovely. I'm going to try pineapple on my next one. Your baked potato meal looks very inviting. I love a baked potato with slaw, cold cuts and salad (I have some "grinder" salad in the fridge and will make a potato to go with it tomorrow). I've never added cheese to my slaw, that sounds good. Your Beef Stew is wonderful. Love Ya.
My Scottish relatives 🇨🇦🏴will come back from Heaven and disown me but haggis is a hard pass. Every time. All the time. Same with black pudding or sausage. 🤣 The sauce looked yummy though. Your mince pie looks better than any that come from the grocer. 😊
Haggis is an acquired taste and I know many fellows Scots who wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. Sausage, square or links are still very popular though - you can’t beat proper ones from a butcher.
@buffys3477 I tried haggis when visiting a friend near Aberdeen. It was OK, but I'd not go out of my way to find it or make it. No on the black pudding for me, as well. I'd love to try the Lorne sausage!

Thank you so much Cheryl! Apart from the great meal ideas you provide, I feel totally vindicated now! Why? Because when I first came to Australia, 'they' laughed at the way I pronounced (and still do!) 'us', as in 'uz'. They all say 'uss', which I've always said is wrong because there's only one 's' in 'us', so it's pronounced softer than the sharper hiss of a 2-s word! So hearing you saying 'uz' too made me feel dead chuffed! If only I hadn't retired 20-odd years ago, I could smack them round the chops with this now!!

General themes this week:
-PIES! All things in pie form.
-An abundance of fear of any meal being "too dry."
-To counteract the last one, tubs and tubs of gravy/sauce over everything.
-HUGE portions.
Do you think that maybe slimming world is influencing you to cut back on your own meals but then doubling down on meals for your family?
The pizza day, for instance. A whole half of a bagette for one person? And salad? And chips? And cheese? Seems a bit much. Meanwhile, you're sitting across from them having a light salad, no dressing just a squirt of lemon and some boiled chicken breast....😒😒😒

Yes Kevin,tea is dinner,and dinner is lunch in most people’s understanding in the UK.

We love French Bread (Italian bread ) or Naan bread pizzas--so easy!
The sadness here is that there’s a consequence to eating so terribly. It’s a slow burn, it’s cumulative as resistance builds gradually.
Clearly there’s an “It can’t Happen To Us” mentality similar to smokers but already, Cheryl’s wasting their hard-earned money at a weight loss club instead of on their kids (it’s a scam imho but that’s a different story).
It is no wonder kids are obese, that longevity is declining and that metabolic sickness is becoming the nation’s number one killer when you see diets like this.
There is a consequence to such a poor diet and there is little to no immunity.
A few of Cheryl's dinners wouldn't do you any harm. Might lighten you up a bit

Such unhealthy food. Apart from the fishcakes that were bought at Aldi it was meat, meat and more meat.
Please seek therapy. No one should be as unhappy as you obviously are. Also, go see an eye doctor because you obviously couldn’t see the vegetables, Mac and cheese, etc.
The fish cakes had a creamy sauce in the middle AND were drowned in gravy....

No one pays her to promote their products. She likes shopping at Aldi’s and other stores. Maybe try leaving your house once in a while and go shopping yourself?
