- They're in a random order, though the order does give you a little idea of which characters I love more.
Since there are a few characters I love that aren't Disney princesses, I thought that making a video like this would be the best option :)

Hearing Astrid in Latin Spanish gave me such a nostalgic attack because HTTYD is one of my favs movies of all time but I haven't seen any scene of it since long ago :')
I couldn't love more the comments of these characters, especially because I also love almost all of them. I don't have words to des ribe how much I love the Frozen sisters ("admire how positive she is despite mostly having rocks and thorns thrown at her" described perfectly Anna lol).
And I really like the appretiation you have with Hiccup and Merida, especially the human side they have, I also love that characteristic about them.
The editing is splendid, I'll never get tired of these styles you bring :)

I love this whole list, and I truly appreciate the love given to both Hiccup, and Astrid here. I feel they can be so easily overlooked because they aren’t Disney, or singers, or heck, because they are supposedly cliché character types. But as someone who has been with this franchise since 2010, I can’t help but adore the absolutely real relationship you get from them. They aren’t some perfect prince and princess. They fight, and argue, and can have opinions that differ from each other drastically, but in the end, they love each other unconditionally, more so than the trivial matters that divide them.
I think the nostalgia critic put it the best way. They are cliché, but that cliché-ness is executed so perfectly in Hicstrid, that it is impossible to replicate.
Also, we stan the beautiful bi disaster relationship that is New Dream.
Yea I agree that HTTYD in general is very underappreciated, it baffles me how there are so many people within this community that haven't even seen the movies. Well, it's their loss :P
That or there are the people who read the books first and then saw the movies and got mad when they changed everything. I am still kinda annoyed about that xD.
I love your comment on Cinderella, I truly couldn't agree more! She is one of the few characters who really preserves *pure* good despite her life situation, which is slightly naive, I would say, but admirable at the same time. Cindy, just as Snow White, gets far too little recognition, in my opinion!

Except Rayla who is completely a stranger to me, Merida and Cinderella were kind of unexpected choices. Okay Merida was not so unexpected, but for a reason I was expecting Jasmine. Cinderella is a fond character though. Eugene is a unique case of a character, Hiccup is also a big favorite of mine. I see some parts of myself on Astrid, so I really like her for the reasons you have mentioned.

The editing, oh dear, oh my! 😍❤ Your list is very interesting, as it goes from characters that are a bit "dull" (Cinderella), to full on emotional onions (Elsa) lol, love that! 😊 Your comment on Anna made me so happy, she's my favorite Disney character - and possibly my favorite animated character - and I always feel the need to defend her because of how overlooked she is, so I was glad to see her getting the recognition she deserves! :) Hiccup, Astrid, Elsa, Merida and Flynn are definitely favorites of mine as well 😄 I guess I feel the most neutral about Cinderella and Rapunzel, and as for Rayla, I don't even know where she's from, but she looks nice ^^

Rayla is from The Dragon Prince that you can find on Netflix! It amazes me how no one has seen the show, I didn't think these comments would turn into a promotion field XDDDD it's seriously an amazing show.

Lol when Elsa's clip began I thought the 1st refrain of Speechless was beginning for a moment, I GOT SO CONFUSED. Also I never noticed she's actually hugging herself in that clip??? Damn it Disney. Your words for her & Hiccup melted my heart though 😭💖 Seeing Eugene here *(NAMED AS EUGENE, THANKS)* made my day, you know how much he means to me so I won't start talking about it or I'll waste my whole precious Sunday doing that. Our community needs more of these videos! rankings of voices can only differ as much, whereas I love videos where you get to know someone a little bit better after watching it 😌 I've known about how Cinderella's one of your favourite princesses, and I couldn't agree more - she's not passive or a pushover! Just like most people it seems, I've never heard of Rayla, but that voice might be my favourite Finnish speaking voice 😱 after Mervi of course. Eugene's probably everyone's favourite prince, not surprisingly, as he's one of the only fleshed out princes. It's great to see Merida here too, I honestly think a big part of why she used to annoy me was because I saw myself in her & hate(d) that part of me 🙁 and for Elsa, I knew she was going to be your favourite, so once again no surprises there - but thanks for sharing, and I truly hope you're in a better place now dear 🥰
Oh yea, that's true! It would be so cool if everyone made a video like this where they explained why they love some characters.
I'm a bit confused here, are you mistaking me for someone else because I don't think I have ever been very vocal about my love for Cinderella, as she hasn't been one of my favourites for that long, so you saying you knew that confuses me a little here x)
Rayla's Finnish voice is so cool, she should definitely dub a main character in a movie!
I'm definitely in a much better place now! I've made so much progress regarding self-esteem issues these past few years, 2017 me wouldn't recognise 2020 me at all. "Healing" from everything I've been through takes time, but eventually I'll get there :)

I couldn't agree more with you on Hiccup. I love him for pretty much the same reasons you mentioned but also because I see myself in him. He did everything he could to protect the dragons and me being the animal lover I am, do the same with animals. And tbh, if it were possible, my home would look like Berk when it was overcrowded with dragons LOL and even in my youth years (my elementary school years cause I'm not that old LOL) I was bullied in a similar way they he was, no one listening to him, no one thought he could do anything right so I understand completely how HTTYD 1 Hiccup was feeling about everyone

I actually only grew to love Astrid because of Race to the Edge (a tv show) as there she gets much more depth and is so much more than just Hiccup's love interest! The movies did her a bit dirty

We share some favorites as Eugene, Rapunzel, Anna, ELSA (my ultimate favorite forever ♥) i absolutely agree with everything you've said about her, this is how I feel as well. I can't describe my love for her and how I can relate to her in many ways. She will always mean so much to me. People may think that's crazy to think about an animated character, but that's just how it is. xD

Elsa is so precious 🤍 and I don't think it's weird to have such strong feelings for a fictional character, to me it's the same as obsessing over a celebrity haha, I think it's wonderful people can feel deeply passionate about different things 🥰

Yeeees about Cinderella; she isn't given the credit she deserves for having grown up in such circumstances and yet turning out as lovely as she is! Oiii so that's the character I couldn't guess; is that series over now completely?🤔 Eugene, that will make the day of someone we know hah. He's surely worth it, one of the coolest and most interesting heros out there. It's sad that Disney rarely gives that much space to the princes in their films. Rapunzel is one of the characters I have no solid opinion on even though I acknowledge how likable she is in general. Like her or not, Merida surely stands out for how realistic she is :') You know, I totally agree about Astrid's character development being very good! I didn't like her after my first watch of the first film, but things got remarkably better after watching the other two XD Frozen 2 definitely assures that Anna is among my favorites too
They haven't said anything about a 4th season yet, but it hasn't been cancelled either...I hope it won't be cancelled like Anne with an E 🤧

I love Eugene as well, but I'm not sure about the tv-show's plot-twist considering him (I don't dare to say anything more here, since it might be spoiler for some people.) This video really makes me want to see HTTYD-movies. I love the scenes you picked for Elsa and I agree with your opinion 100%. Do you know who is Rayla's Finnish voice? I never really know who Rayla was unfortunately but it's good to know a new character😊 And lastly, I felt kinda nostalgic about HTTYD since I never watched their movies for a long time! Maybe I might watch it again in the future and bring good memories back.
