- In this house, we love upbeat Disney songs whose sole purpose is to make you happy.
You know that feeling when you work on a video and upload it only to find out it's blocked worldwide, which means you will have to start the layout from scratch? Because I do.
I told myself I would make an Encanto multi when the Finnish version is out. Then the Finnish soundtrack came out, and I told myself I would make an Encanto multi when they release an HD clip of one of the songs. Then they released this. I took that as a sign and made this.
In 20 languages that are
Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Danish, Bulgarian, Flemish, Russian, Norwegian, Finnish, Thai, Kazakh, English, Latin Spanish, Dutch, French, Swedish, Polish, Italian, German, European Portuguese & Korean

I love how every country seems to have let it go with their casting and chose more quircky and "normal" voices for this character 😊 I feared they would go for the usual princessy kind of singers but they all chose rich and energetic talented singers :)
Oh yes! I didn’t think about that, but now that you mentioned it, I completely agree! Mirabel’s character works best with that kind of voices
Yes! I felt that to! They do funny voices and like my mom said (who also saw the movie) “it really feels the voice actor danced when singing!”

The voice casting in each langauge is so good because they all sound similar and have the same energy. Therefore blending this perfectly together, the only reason i distinguished the version was because of the langauge switch most times
I think this is most exemplified by the transition from EU Portuguese to Korean during the rap towards Mariano. It was so amazingly flawless.

Damn, I can already tell it's not gonna be easy to rank Mirabel's voices! All 20 versions are literally so good. LOVE the layout of the video (thanks copyright block?). This song is amazing, I'm particularly obsessed with the second half and the line "My cousin Dolores can hear this whole chorus from miles away" is so genius to me lol.
You mean it’s gonna be hard to rank them? x) but yea, most of them sound fabulous, not sure how well some of them suit a 15 year old though, but the voices themselves are pretty! Thank you 💕

I'm really happy with the choice of voice actress for Mirabel in my language (Brazilian Portuguese). She's super energetic, sounds young, and has some experience with dubbing characters from cartoons and shows aimed at kids
she's one of my favorites. you cant really compete with Stephanie, but it reminds me the most of Mirabel, aside from her.

I really like the Finnish dub of this movie! I went to see it after work one day and didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did :D I think Esme's voice fits Mirabel so well! Some voices sound so old.. Great multi!
I really like that there are so many new voices. I mean, the actors that regularly appear in Finnish dubs are good, but I absolutely hate it when I am watching a dub and all I can think about are the other roles that the actors have been in. There’s this animated series on Netflix where Katja Sirkiä is the voice of a whale, and I just kept imagining her Elsa :D I don’t think I will go watch this movie in theatres, as it will come to Disney+ on the 24th of December. But good to hear that the dub overall is very good! Thanks 😊

The first song I heard from this movie, I love this song, especially the rap part (I think it's one of the Colombian music styles, not sure, hope Colombians can confirm this), the first international Mirabel I heard (without English version) is Japanese, and she sounds good unlike other Japanese voices to me, so far I really love Japanese, Finnish, Spanish and Croatian.. But, gosh, I really love Esme, she reminds me of Yasmine Yamajako, they are different (you know) but my feelings towards their performance are the same, love at first listening, Yasmine is my favourite Moana, Esme..... I think she will be my favorite Mirabel, the more I hear to her, I will love her more, glad they release the soundtrack lol, also, she even looks like Mirabel without glasses XD
Encanto will be released in Indonesian and Malay dubs on Disney+ Hotstar on Christmas Eve, they have already started the dub (idk about Malay dub). I hope this dub will be much better lol, ( *maybe they can make Miranti as Mirabel hahaha* ) I can't wait to hear all the versions in HQ....

This song is so upbeat and such a mood lifter! I see we have the same favourites so far, though EU Portuguese is up there on my list too 😊 so happy to hear you love Esme that much, she truly is phenomenal! And she does have some similarities in her looks to Mirabel :D

About the rap part, there is rap here in Colombia, but it's not traditional style, it's foreigner, It's usually used to transmite messages about social stuff or by rappers who sing about their lives.

Aahhh I love the design sooo much!!! 😍😍 this is my first time hearing this song fully, and damn it gets way too fast at the end XDD I can’t even speak that fast in Arabic and keep the words understandable lol. I’m so glad you chose that part for Finnish, her enthusiasm is seriously contagious x) My favorite of the Mirabels I’ve heard so far!
I can sometimes be barely understandable when I speak at a normal speed…at this speed no one would understand a single word that comes out of my mouth lol. Eeeeeee so happy to hear that, we truly hit the nail on the head with this casting :D
Nice, I just got back from watching this in theatres. Also, last week, my local movie theatre was showing the Latin American Spanish dub of the movie, given to the fact that the movie takes place in Colombia, which is in Latin America. The Latin American Spanish dub uses the Colombian-based celebrity actors, instead of Disney movies, usually dubbed in Mexico, US in Los Angeles, or Argentina. Because of strong location where the movie takes place, there is no Castilian Spanish or Catalan dub of the movie, which happened earlier with Coco.
It would be weird having a European Spanish dub because it would take away from the authenticity of the story and sound off to us.
I couldn’t imagine hearing the Madrigals with an Argentine or Mexican or Spanish accent or Miguel and Hector with a European Spanish accent, it would make the references and story awkward
That’s why Coco and Encanto only had one version for their dub, Mexican and Colombian respectively.
Haha the final "HWO,,,,,,," from the Korean VA was so filled with panic, that made me laugh :D

Na minha humilde opinião, acho que as versões que ficaram mais bem feitas foram as línguas *Portuguesa BR, Inglesa, Japonesa e Espanhola.* Mais todas ficaram muito bem feitas e bem cantadas, eu achando que alguma iria ficar ruim, me enganei. Disney fez um ótimo trabalho de multilinguagem.

Great multi ! It's funny how your order almost looks like my ranking of Mirabel's voices (at the moment) from my favourite to my least favourite ahah, except the fact that Eu Portuguese is among my favourites ;)

Thank you 💕 I still don’t understand how Disney can do this to you and many other countries, are they not aware that not every country has access to iTunes for example? Like, even if they don’t release the DVD in those countries, at least include the dubs on some country’s version of the DVD…shouldn’t be that hard. I truly hope that Disney+ will one day be available to you :/

I like that Flemish and Dutch are both in this multilanguage since flemish is just some kind of dutch dialect they use in Belgium.
It is a bit more complex. Flemish is actually a cluster of very different dialects and has own vocabulary and characteristics. Not just "some kind of dialect". 😉

@@FrozenMusic7 well, as I said, I don’t know :/ I think Pixar and WDAS have different contracts so if they dub a Pixar movie, it doesn’t mean they will dub a Disney classic. Maybe Disney musicals sell better so they only get to dub the musicals out of the Disney classics, whereas Pixar movies rarely have any songs so they just dub everything. I think Disney has say on the matter too, I mean they won’t let Sámi people dub Frozen 1.

Portuguese being the language that appears the most because we’re simply better (and because of the way that the accents make each country have basically it’s own language)

in the dutch version Mirabel calls Isabela a "zondagskind". But thats not correct because a zondagskind is someone who likes everyone. But Isabela hates in the beginning Mirabel so thats not true. AFter all its still a great song
