Thanks for this particular video. I had alot of the same issues as I am working on a 2011 F250 and using a Hizpo head unit. My radio looks like yours but the wires were a bit different. I did need the ASWC1 to make the SWC work. Also I had a brown wire (K1) integrated into my harness. My K2 wire was hanging out. After some experimentation I had to cut the K1 and join both K1 and K2 to the 3.5 mm plug adapator. So all is well except for my backup camera. For some reason I can not get my head unit to switch to camera mode when in reverse. So onto the next video. Thanks for all the info.
Hey, what wire did you tap into for acc wire? All diagrams say something different. Can't seem to locate on my truck. I have a 2011 f350 lariat which had the sync/nav/rcam. Also using a wireharness I don't have sound to speakers.... And last thing is u can't seem to find the elusive blue/white wire for reverse... I too have a hizpo android radio.
I know you made this video a long time ago, but I'm having an issue maybe you ran into and/or have an idea to solve it. I installed a chinese head unit in my 2016 F250, installed a Axxess steering controller and can set the buttons to control volume, seek, etc. only when stopped. So when I start driving the truck I lose all functionallity. I can't seem to find any info about that or why. I don't know, or think the speed control is connected to the radio, that I wired (only the 2 steering wires from the smaller port behind the factory radio are wired to Axxess controller)
Thats a very weird problem. The only thing I can think of is some sort of interference within the canbus system when you press on the accelerator that could interfere with the signals to the Axxess controler. That would most likely indicate an issue with the controller, but this is a complete guess assuming you have everything hooked up correctly.
@jackofallmasterofnone I have a 2011 f250 and bought the same after market stereo as you but I’m issue is even without the key it’ll turn on. Any help will be appreciated
@@jeffreymacmurdo2034 They don't make it anymore. It's just a generic "Android" radio bought on Amazon. But you can buy a similar unit. Just search for "Does Android radio" on Amazon
How has this set up held up over time? I know the video is a few years old now just wanted to see how it’s all working. Looking to use the same setup on my 2011 f350.
+ryanjones If it is an android phone connection is hit or miss depending on what phone. I find it best to just stream via Bluetooth and charge via the usb cable
My Truck has the Ford Sync and I needed to buy a cable to connect over to my radio's usb cables: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016NLD0BA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Basically unplugged it from my ford sync module and used the converter cable above to connect to my Unit

I too have a hizpo android radio.
I've seen your other videos as well as this one, we will be at SEMA Thank you for the content
Do you have a quick wiring diagram somewhere just showing the necessary wire connections to make?
Thanks, used some of your info to hook up a panlelo unit, I had to reprogram the box to make it work with a Hyundai, great video 👍🏼
How did you get the Ford emblem to show up on your radio
What id my radio has a swc aux ? Do i have to do all the first part?

Check my other videos. You have to add the power turn on wire (the red one). It doesn't come in the harness on the newer trucks.

Did you fix issue with adding the red wires like in his other video

Excellent. Still working fine
hey man, same year 2012 xl, but I do have factory steering wheel controls. I am putting in a similar unit, could we talk sometime?
Do you think this same method would work for a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer (Ford Explorer)?
+Jason Gray Not sure. Probably since they use the same CANBUS protocol for controlling the steering wheel controls but i cant guarantee it
I have the same radio and same truck. I have installed it and the USB on the front has power, but will not connect to my iPhone. Any suggestions?
