How I connected my Sena20S, GPS and Phone! See description/comments for UPDATES!!!

- I connected my Sena 20S, NAV 6 and Samsung Note 8 so that I could use the NAV as the screen to handle all communication and media. You can keep your phone in your pocket and not worry about it!I UPDATED !!!! Also got the sena to play music/audio from my phone and receive phone calls through the nav, receive directions, use voice commands on Google through the sena. All you got to do is in addition to what I have done in the video, just change the input of the media player from mpe3 to bluetooth by clicking the power icon on top left corner, as shown in the photos, Enjoy!!!!

I had connected my Sena to my GPS and my phone to my Sena but never bothered to connect my phone to the GPS. I connected my phone to the GPS Sunday and now I see I traffic updates on the GPS! Thanks for prompting me to play around with the GPS and my phone :-)
Mark Gunnison yup, connecting the phone to the gps via smartlink app, gives you weather updates too, figured this out yesterday😊
I also downloaded the app but have not played with it yet. Looks like it adds a lot to the GPS.
The biggest use of the smartlink app for me was searching for places like how we do in google maps and sending it to the gps, don't have to tinker with the archaic keyboard in the gps to type in destinations...

Guys people have been commenting that that I was too verbose in the video and didn't solve the problem quickly, just wanted to let you all know that there are multiple ways of getting it WRONG, so please be patient and watch the whole video, THANKS!

I was the same, had problems connecting my gps to my Sena AND having my iPhone connect to both.
Never dawned on me to connect my iPhone to the gps.
Glad I saw this and the different ways you tried and SUCCEEDED in connecting all together.
I’m the same as you too, although I really like the Sena functionality, I don’t like the jogdial fiddling about, I think it’s easier and SAFER to see the iPhone options for calls and gps etc directly on the gps and not have to scroll the jogdial or tap it so many times etc...
Finally I’ll have a little play and get everything working together seamlessly!!!

RETICS1 no worries, just replace your dash with the TFT 😁!
MotoVlogging with VMan I've for that one 🍻
RETICS1 doesn't the TFT do most of what the nav does? Just use Google nav from your phone!
MotoVlogging with VMan actually have to use BMW ride app . It's turn by turn only . Doesn't show a map. The vav6 has other features when linked together .
