Just an update. Thank you it works, sort of. I’m not sure jogging wheel is doing its job for volume. That being said it’s possibly because bike was already at 100% volume and phone was hooked up at low volume. Thank you so much though. Slow process but done!!.
Thanks for this video I've just set mine up as you describe and it seems to be working perfectly. Really clear instructions and best explanation I've seen. Much appreciated.
Really great video. Doesn't answer my questions, but gets me pointed in the right direction. I am using the connected ride cradle with my android smartphone. I am also using the Schuberth Siena SC2. My take away is that depends on what pairs with what first, and what I enable each device to do. Currently my phone is at the center of everything and the TFT bluetooth seems to interfere/override everything else. Anyway, thank you.
Thanks a lot for your detailed and clear video. It was very easy to connect my new Sena to the TFT of a GS 1250 and everything seems to work fine. Excellent job 👍👍👍

Great video, really helpful and clear to understand. Quick question - does this effectively remove the need for the Sena App on your phone as everything is being controlled via bikes TFT? Using the Sena app would require pairing phone direct to helmet, thus screwing up the settings in the video? Do I have that correct? Many thanks 😀
Yes if you connect your phone to senna app you disconnect from tft pain I know but once you have set your senna up via app with all the setting you shouldn’t need to do it again

No you can only control the volume via the wheel if you have the bmw coms system. I normally set all volume to max and control the volume via my Sena system

Great video, so simple, whats the advantage of getting the second helmet to connect to the TFT, as to Pairing helmet to helmet? If the wife wants to Liston to her music rather than mine, would this be possible? Cheers.

Hi Dragon Rider! If you could be so kind, i would aks a question. Is it possible to navigate from mobile phone, listening to music from tft through mobile phone and chat with the passenger? I can connect everything. I am able to navigate and listening music, the passenger also listening the music and i dont know why but passenger also hears nav infos as well... But dont able to chat What i think is.... The tft connects to mobile phone on one channel and keeps it open continuously. Only one channel. The mobile phone mix the music and the nav infos and transmit to the tft. That is the ftf input. The tft cant separate music and nav infos, tft only get what the mobile phone send. Mixed the music and the nav infos by the phone. On one channel. The nav6 connect to phone as well. Ok. The only big deal is that the ftf disconnect the passenger helmet when phone call comes up. In this case, i cant chat with the passenger. In your video you connect the 2 helmets directly. So. The ftf get data from phone (mixed music nav infos or nav6) on one channel. Transmits the mixed data to helmets on two output channel, one-one channel dedicated to each helmet. Nice. So the tft cant organize the intercom between the two helmets. I dont really know why. The output channels are two way channels. So the tft can recive data from helmets not just transmit. Why is so hard to recive chat data from helmet and mix into the transmitted data from helmet to helmet..... Listening music, hear nav infos and chat in the same time. Would be nice,,,, How do you make it? If i connect the helmets directly to eachother, i have to switch between the helmet channels manually on the headsets. If i listening music and want to say something to the passenger, i have to switch channel to be abel to do it. So we listening music or chat. And we have to switch. Maybe only my headsets are the problem I dont know. Can your set do that? Can Sena keep open the tft channel and the intercom channel and mix them in the same time? TFT cant mix channels as I see. That is why we have to connect helmets directly to eachother. How does listening music or navigate maybe both and chat looks like in your case? Thank you
Works fine with my senna. Have you connected the passenger helmet to the nav? They shouldn’t be able to hear nav instructions Only the rider can You should hear music until your passenger speaks or you .
@@DC1008 Thank you very much! I think I can see it clearly now. I am useing phone to navigate that is why passenger hears nav infos because it is one channel. It is all about helmet headset. To be able listening music or etc and be able to chat in the same time need a dual ability headset. The headset will mix the two channels (tft-headste and headset-headset). The tft and the intercom. If you have a non dual headsets, you have to switch between the channels manually on the headset. Nobody told it. People think when you are able to connect pilot and passenger headset to the tft, it will organize the chat as well. But not. It is a shame if you ask me. The BMW took an old car infotainment system and with just a bit modification gave it to us. I am a pilot as well. The pilot headsets do everything we need. The hole thing is a pendrive size device. So 10 usd and a little software and would be perfect. Maybe interesting fun fact... if you ride solo or dont need intercom, normal ordinary cheap sport inear headsets work fine with the tft. I have tried two type. JBl and a cheap chinese one. Both works. Nav, music, phone call. And the audio quality is better then helmet headsets. I have paired both in the same time to pilot and passenger. Perfect. Of course, no intercom. So solo riders dont need expensive helmet headset to navigate listening music and make calls. Once again, thank you for your answer!
I have connected ride navigator and paired rider and passenger intercoms (both of them are Sena). But I can't talk to passengers. Will we connect helmets as intercom pairing after connecting to the navigator?
@@byemrahozd so best way to look at it the CRN is the hub for your phone. It connects to your phone allowing music and data for navigation to be used and available in order to push that info out to the rider you connect your helmet to it so you can hear music phone and navigation inputs. If you have a passenger you connect there helmet to the CRN so they can hear music navigation inputs and also phone etc but unless you connect the two helmets together you won’t be able to talk to each other
Great video, thank you! Quick question, with Nav6, what is the advantage to pairing the integrated TFT to the Sena? Nav6 can control media, but also adds Pandora/apps as well that run directly on it (I mostly listen to Pandora when riding). Why not just do the pairing from the Nav6 to the Sena and then from the phone directly to the Sena (so you can use the Sena app on the phone to setup intercoms/Sena settings/etc)? Suspect I'm missing something, just wondered what it is/was! ;)
Thanks for sharing. My bike is 2021 XR and a NAV 6 on it, but I can’t control the NAV 6 via multicontroller. After checking your video, I found the top left of your TFT show “TFT~NAV” and mine not. How should I do to call them out?
Hi mate! Your video is first class and I followed it all the way through, everything is working but when i look at the icons on the TFT Navigation is greyed or Ghosted out if you like. Any ideas?
Thanks for the video. One question, I did all of this but when I went to access the music it says “racetrack” or something like that and doesn’t light of the music section. Is this a setting I have on that is doing this? Thanks
Good video 👍🏻 Do you have any idea - how to set the media volume louder? I have paired everything with each other, and in the garage everything seemed to work perfectly well. I could hear the music in the helmet headphones clear and loud (with the possibility to turn the volume up and down with the Sena jog dial - as I have the 30K model). Unfortunately - when riding - it turned out, that I could hardly hear the music, or navi messages (even with the volume set to maximum). Only the phone calls were loud enough. I don’t know - what I have done incorrectly 🤷🏼♂️
I guess when you are playing your media, try to turn your dial on left handle and see if if lights up thevolume bar on your TFT. If it does, keep turning the dial up and the volume will go up too.
a question: at the moment only my Sena SRL is paired with my wife's Sena SRL who rides her own motorcycle. can this remain if after watching your video I have connected everything to my BMW 1250GS
Yes you connect your srl to the tft and nav via phone pairing then connect to your wife via intercom pairing So on your helmet you can hear music take calls and get directions and you can talk to your wife etc
What about FM radio listening through the SENA? I own Avant Intercom and I noticed that I cant listen to the radio (from intercom) when I am able to use phone from TFT (not sure exactly what is connected to what). When phone is not available to TFT intercom radio works ok.
Great video which I have had to follow a few times (after BMW do a software update it wipes everything). However after the last software update, I manage to pair the headset with the TFT ok, but then when it connects to the Sat Nav, it won’t recognise the Headset on the TFT afterwards. Any ideas?
You have to do that so that the NAV 6 can talk to you ie directions etc. Its quite a process but that's what you have to do there is no bridge that BMW have done. So mobile phone paring to TFT and 2nd mobile phone pairing to NAV 6
I just followed your method to the letter, but cannot get sound into my Sena headphones, everything shows on th eTFT as if it's working - just no sound, this is on a new 1250GSA & Nav VI. I have a second bike 1200GS with Zumo XT and it works perfectly with th Sena - rather bizarre
Just to confirm Dragon Rider, if I follow your routine up to where I connect the pillion to the tft, but but do not connect the pillion to the tft and just pair rider to pillion?

Thank you for the video, I watched it several times and paired up perfectly with Nav6, TFT and Neotec2. Rode for the first time yesterday with helmets paired, With the helmet paired I stopped getting the navigation voice instructions through the helmet and I also took a call through the helmet and TFT that disconnected the helmets comms to each other. As soon as I stopped and synched the helmets again they were fine. Do you get navigation commands through your riders helmet when connected to the pillion and does taking a phone call through the TFT and helmet disconnect your helmets? Thank you for any help you can offer.
So yes when you take a phone call the helmets will disconnect. They should reconnect however if they don’t alll you do is press the centre button on the helmet once and they reconnect no need to go into intercom pairing again. If your helmet is paired to the nav 6 you should get voice updates through the riders helmet only. Go into settings on the helmet Sena and see what’s got priority sometimes music can have priority over voice etc
My understanding is when the nav 6 wants to tell you something it should interrupt intercom and music etc but shouldn’t disconnect but I’ll have a play about and see what happens
i have problems with phonecalls when i connect it too tft. but when i disconnect it from tft and Just connect my sena to my phone the problem does not accure.
Considering changing all my connections to those in this video. My Tech details: 2022 XR TFT | Sena 50s | iPhone 14 | BMW Nav 6. Currently have Phone connected to TFT, Phone connected to Nav 6, Sena connected to phone. Q's for any of those who have followed that video instructions: 1) when I ride my other bike, will connecting Sena to iPhone mess up when I get back on the XR? 2) can I use Siri with video recommendations? 3) can I mesh chat with my group of riding buddies with the new set up? 4) can I use the sena phone app to manage the sena?

How do you make it?
They shouldn’t be able to hear nav instructions
Only the rider can
You should hear music until your passenger speaks or you .
When do you connect the Nav6 to the TFT ?! Or did you start whith doing that of screen?
How did you get on the top left corner that small icon tft , i have 2022 gs 1250 and cant find that small icom. thank you
Great video mate, thanks
I have connected ride navigator and paired rider and passenger intercoms (both of them are Sena). But I can't talk to passengers. Will we connect helmets as intercom pairing after connecting to the navigator?
You need to connect helmet to helmet to speak to one another
, So, the connected ride navigator cannot transfer voice between two intercoms, am I right?
Suspect I'm missing something, just wondered what it is/was! ;)
Cheers mate big thanks 😊
Thanks for sharing.
My bike is 2021 XR and a NAV 6 on it, but I can’t control the NAV 6 via multicontroller. After checking your video, I found the top left of your TFT show “TFT~NAV” and mine not. How should I do to call them out?
Press and hold menu up button and it will go from tft to nav
Hi mate! Your video is first class and I followed it all the way through, everything is working but when i look at the icons on the TFT Navigation is greyed or Ghosted out if you like. Any ideas?
Greyed when riding or stationary
Is your phone connected to the tft and all permissions set to allow with navigation
Thanks for the video. One question, I did all of this but when I went to access the music it says “racetrack” or something like that and doesn’t light of the music section. Is this a setting I have on that is doing this?
Thanks
Good video 👍🏻
Do you have any idea - how to set the media volume louder?
Yes you connect your srl to the tft and nav via phone pairing then connect to your wife via intercom pairing
So on your helmet you can hear music take calls and get directions and you can talk to your wife etc
Hi mate.
Thanks for this…. However I’ve lost my useage of hey siri or Hi Sena…. Any ideas?
hello if you have everything connected like this, how long will your intercom last before it runs out
How do you get to Sire?
Does “hey siri” work to change music or send a text or initiate a call (if necessary)
Any ideas?
Have the same issue. no clue how to solve till now
EXCELLENT!! Thank you!
huh 2nd mobile phone for the GPS tot your helmet, why would you do that? doesn't BMW work as a bridge between the deives?
You have to do that so that the NAV 6 can talk to you ie directions etc. Its quite a process but that's what you have to do there is no bridge that BMW have done. So mobile phone paring to TFT and 2nd mobile phone pairing to NAV 6
Most helpful thank you.
Yeah try that
@@DC1008 All done and working ok, thanks for your advice.
Many thanks for helpful information ℹ️
I have problem when I contact my helmet to the TFT and mobile, the music 🎶 sondes doesn’t come fine compari when I contact the mobile to the helmet directly with out TFT and navigation ?
What helmet comm system are you using
I have Schuberth C4 Pro , the sounds quality it’s come exultant when I connect the helmet to the mobile directly ?
@@DC1008 Thanks mate, i will give it a go
My understanding is when the nav 6 wants to tell you something it should interrupt intercom and music etc but shouldn’t disconnect but I’ll have a play about and see what happens
Thanks 👊👊👊
What if "connections" greyed out?
Excellent video
i have problems with phonecalls when i connect it too tft. but when i disconnect it from tft and Just connect my sena to my phone the problem does not accure.
What’s the problem
@@DC1008 both persons here a lot of static i'm not shure if that Whats it cald in English
Is there a way to take advantage of all the privileges on the TFT and navigation With high quality music ?
I think the quality of music comes down to how good your helmet speakers are
do you know if can bluetooth a ipod touch to tft for music please?
Should be possible as long as that ipod doesn't have a very outdated ios system
is that right ?
Really compliments.
For some weird reason I couldn’t get rider to connect until I removed the NAV completely. And reset everything.
I've got the senna S20 and the TFT won't pick it up
Excellent, sorted
Fab!
This is my exact setup
🙏👍
Doesn’t work. My TFT and SLR2 will never connect. I have tried everything. Spend dozens of hours on this shit. That 500$ piece of scrap is now in the garbage can. Thanks anyway.
Tft setup
I’ll change the title should be setup of tft to phone nav and Sena
