Nice and clean build. I tried 2 mattress toppers for about a year. Then i got a mattress from walmart $150. Wow! I'd rather sleep in my van than bed at home!
Your going to love the freedom of the choices you are making, Americans have no idea what true freedom is they are use to being slaves to the material world, I have done the same thing as you only with a Wife and two children, Seeing and living in the wonders of such a beautiful country far out weighs Material slavery. I wish you the best that life has to offer.
Nice build! It's great to start fairly simple to understand what you need and how you use the space. The flooring was skipped, but it was a minor detail. Keep up the great work and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Cheers
Thanks! I realized after I had edited the video I completely forgot about the floor. It is just panel insulation, underneath plywood with m vinyl flooring on top of that.
I've been trying to turn my small suv into a camper I've been playing around with some ideas. Love watching this content tho 👌. I'm excited to see where it goes and to hopefully pull inspiration from it
Love this clean, minimal build! Love the Native print everywhere as well!! Welcome to van life!! I'm apart of this dope community as well but I travel around in my bus named Peach and my lil people!
Great job book matching the grain on the drawers, I mean cabinet doors under the sink. Nice simple and functional build. I like that junk net concept. I think nets are such a great lightweight option to hold odd shaped chit.
Nice simple build. I would have done lots of insulation, and put the sink inside the left barn door for easy filling and dumping. And I definitely need a toilet. But those are just personal preferences and I have no actual experience at building yet. You did well!
Thank you! Of course. I bought the van itself for 2000 dollars. Then I put about around 1500 to 2000 into the build. I tried to keep it as minimal and inexpensive as possible while sticking to my original design.
Thank you! Yeah that’s my goal, I don’t know how long I am going to do full time van life but I want to travel as much as I can and experience things before I decided to settle down.
How does the fan do during hot weather? My biggest concern would be keeping my van as cool as possible. I live in Georgia so the heat here is RIDICULOUS
It does really good, I have a seal that’s not fully secure on my back door. So when I have it set to pulling air out it pull the cooler air in. In the summer I had it pulling air in and I have a few extra fans that move the air around the van.
They are made of food grade LDPE, so I believe a food grade plastics material. I bought the black one at a store called rei and the blue one off Amazon.
@@ByTheFireCreative Thanks for letting me know. FYI-- I am trying to avoid plastics. So I won't buy those. The way you painted them, they look like metal!
I have a question. Do You ever deal with your clothes that you store in the van changing colors like fading from heat or sunlight inside the van !? I'm having that issue right now.
I don’t think I have paid any attention to it. I will have to look next time I store my clothes. If there is, most of my shirts are white so I should see some discoloration on those and I will let you know.
Nice simple build
Nice and clean build.

Can’t agree more, I always have trouble falling asleep at home but when I’m in that van I sleep like a rock.

That’s the goal, I’ve been trying to convert to a full minimalist and this build has help with that.
Your van is gorgeous
I really like the wee wall by your bed, it defines the space. It would look great at the other side of your bed too
Keep well
Love your build!
@allisonsanders3384 thank you!
Fashionable/practical and efficient. Cool build! Cool🤟
OMG,I love it..That's why I wanted a bigger van. I hope to see you in passing,I'm in SC too.😊
Watching from the UK
That’s awesome!

Seems so wholesome and chill
Thank you! That’s what I was going for!

Good luck on your built, and thanks for the kind words
I have a 1990 Ford E 150. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Sounds cool. Thank you
Such a beautiful, simple build.
Thank you!
Wow your van is soo nice. So much space, and it’s just so neat. I just love it. Hopefully by May of next year i’ll be full time car living.
Nice build. 👍🏼. All the best on your adventures.
Thank you, hoping for the best adventures
DOUBLE SWINGING SIDE DOORS - I LIKE THAT (SEATTLE WA) 😀
Thanks! It lets me be extra dramatic when I open the doors.
Love this clean, minimal build! Love the Native print everywhere as well!! Welcome to van life!! I'm apart of this dope community as well but I travel around in my bus named Peach and my lil people!
I really enjoy your videos
Thank you!
Very groovy love it !
Thank you!

Thank you! The net saved on room and money so I don’t have to worry about doors and stuff and have super easy access to my stuff.
The State of Oregon is absolutely breath taking and the Winters a soooo mild compared to the East except hotter states abviosly.
i like simple build for pupose ..
Nice job on the van! Enjoyed your video thanks for posting.
I love the build! Very nice!!
Thank you!
The open part of your doors is some space you can use.
I seen someone do that recently with their front two doors so I will probably utilize that space for stuff.
Nice simple build. I would have done lots of insulation, and put the sink inside the left barn door for easy filling and dumping. And I definitely need a toilet. But those are just personal preferences and I have no actual experience at building yet. You did well!
Good build. If you come thru Chattanooga Tn I will give you a 12 volt refrigerator
Thank you! I appreciate the offer but I have already bought the refrigerator and it should be here soon.
Safe travels.
Your music is nice...keep it
Love the background music !
Looks good man all the best on your journey.
Looks great!
Where is the potty?
Love it! If you don't mind me asking, what do you think was the total you spent on the van and conversion?
Thank you! Of course. I bought the van itself for 2000 dollars. Then I put about around 1500 to 2000 into the build. I tried to keep it as minimal and inexpensive as possible while sticking to my original design.
Looking good, love the door fabric! Are you going full time van life?
Thank you! Yeah that’s my goal, I don’t know how long I am going to do full time van life but I want to travel as much as I can and experience things before I decided to settle down.
Imagine it's 2degrees and you gotta shit at 2am you digging a hole😂😂

Drop the music and I could watch it throughout. Otherwise, it's a very nice setup. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the comment, i will work on the volume but I am not getting rid of the background music as of now.
Do you have holes in the board under your bed to keep down mold?
I don’t right now, it is something I have considered.
Are those Dometic water jugs made out of metal? Where did you get them?
They are made of food grade LDPE, so I believe a food grade plastics material. I bought the black one at a store called rei and the blue one off Amazon.
@@ByTheFireCreative Thanks for letting me know.

do you do this as a career?
I do not, coming soon I will hopefully be full time in the van as a life choice over work. UA-cam is just a wait to capture my journey.

FYI for future videos, The background 'music' is annoying, too loud, and unnecessary.
Thanks for the comment, i will work on the volume but I am not getting rid of the background music as of now.
You definitely do not need the background music throughout your video. It’s annoying.
I didn't even notice it until I read your comment.
Same!! It's just fine with the background music! You can hear him speak clearly! @@virginia_in_the_rearview
I'm fine with it
Funny. I was just thinking I really enjoyed the easy music.
Theirs always that one guy🤦♀️
Ugh. You have to put some Lame background music in your video.😳
Thanks for the comment, i will work on the volume but I am not getting rid of the background music as of now.
BORRRRING!!! 😮
