Hi! Loved your video but l almost screamed when you talked about the water supply. DON'T drink from or use a garden hose to fill your tank. They notoriously harbor bacteria. Buy a white hose w/blue stripe which are anti bacterial. Green garden hose that lays around empty are dark and warm. Perfect for petri dishes but not too good for potable water. Hope l helped. Bon voyage.
I cringed as well. Also, using faucets in park may be non potable water. Good for irrigation, and getting e.coli. Definitely need a toilet in the van, as well as an emergency department.
Their cabinets look fantastic. We've all seen countless conversion vehicles, and these are potentially the best looking diy cabinets I've seen. Lol, I'd be as proud ad Lily is. They seem like great people. Dig their van. "Go Girl?" I prefer the, "She'wee."
Great interviewing and thank-you to Lilly for being so candid. I have an E350 van I am working on converting right now. I have to be out of my current residence by September 1st and contemplating trying to live in my van this coming year, and I am kind of scared, and even a little depressed about it. This info helps, I appreciate it.
Finished insulating my E250. Working on my solar 375 watts. 3000 watt Renergy inverter, 60 amp mppt controller.. going to go buy the flooring today. Hope to have it all done this month because the winters are tuff here in Wyoming (-:
I hope you give this channel an interview when you're done. Sounds like you know what you're doing. I'm currently looking for a E250 to build. It's a dream and it's important to be smart about the solar and water supply. Stay in touch.
Finished my van. Headed to Arizona fore the winter. I'm in wyoming. Thing get bad in the winter. Being a gypsy type. I don't very long anyware (-: I have 375 watts of solar.
I, just bought from a friend a 97, Dodge Ram 2500 conversion high top van I'm going to be geting rid of some of the factory look and go with some self build
Really enjoyed this video, because of the nice build, but most importantly because of what the young woman (Lilly) said near the end about learning and gaining experience. She has a great attitude! Brava!
I like to use containers 🫙 with lids to pee because in our apartment we only have 1 bathroom 🚽 so I uses it when someone is taking a shower or taking too long.
she said why you lying 😅 about where do you go to the bathroom!! Anyone who does vanlife without a full bathroom uses a bucket to go poo ! Or cups to pee if you cant hold it ..😅
it's nice to have plenty of cabinets etc. it makes it more functional and looks more like a house. These stealth vans are the "THE NEW TINY HOMES " FOR many PEOPLE. The only thing i would like to ad is that when i see any of these vans that fix full size beds is it will save a lot more room to make a couch/bed combo that slides out with slats when the bed is used . so when the bed ins't being used you have more floor usable space. you can check out stealth van videos and find many who have done beds that way .
My wife and I have discussed the fixed vs folding bed question. For us we want fixed since we don’t want hassle with making and putting away a bed every day. We’re building ours for long weekend getaways not for full time living. Comfortable bed is top priority.
Cozy little setup, nice aesthetic, and the fridge pullout is great. BUT… I noticed immediately that both are kneeling, crouching, hunching to move through the space. I can’t imagine living in a van you cannot stand in… inevitable back & neck pain on the daily, living on pain relievers… do you kneel to wash dishes or prep a meal? Sorry to say but crawling around is a dealbreaker for me.
A lot of “mmmmms” not hating just saying maybe different responses to when he was showing you things! Other than that I enjoyed the interview thank you!
Simple and beautyfull ....i am looking for Many van.....one year again to save money ....but i like There van.....they dont talk about mecanic shock etcetcetc...
I just paid $7500 for a 2007 Chevy Express. 2 weeks later I find out the rear pinion bearing is shot. $2000 to fix it. But was also told it could go bad again in 8 months.
Fridge on the slider to allow swivel....Have not seen that, priceless space saving not having to put the fridge in the back
Yes!

Working on my second build ! Excited because now I know what not to do 😅 but yes van conversions are very expensive
That was so hilarious..Where do you go too the bathroom? Called Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice.
Hahaha!

It's a great hack!
Nice build! I missed the explanation about the fridge slides? I don’t understand what the slides are, where they are and what they are for.
Good question! I apologize that I can't help, but feel free to reach out to them via their IG handles in the video description to ask for more info
The slider is made by the manufacturer of the fridge.
This video was amazing tbh very inspirational and really motivated me, almost has given up on the whole van thing
Go for it!

I'd love a link to the swivel base for the Captain's chair.
It looks like he got it from discountvantruck.com (you'll have to search for your model)

I feel you, that's why I got a van with a bit taller roof. But, everyone prioritizes different things in their van purchase and build!
Hey, we do have to kneel often but we sit on a stool to do all the chores!
Great video
Props to my friends! They did a great job. I hope to share more of this kind of content as I meet other travelers along the way.
Happy, vanning
Thank you!

What class of license do you need to drive your van
You can drive this van with a regular driver's license (commercial/large vehicle license not necessary)
