    Steve,
That's a 19" rack mount unit from SKB. In the video it's mounted above my Presonus 16.4.2 mixer.
It mounts to standard 19" rack rails. If you've got the Presonus StudioLive 24, it won't work because the 24 is much wider than the 19" rack.
I recently bought a StudioLive 24.4.2 and got a really cool case from Gator. It has an articulating arm and laptop tray that is really convenient. You can check it out on the Gator site by searching for G-TOURPRE242-DH-ARM.

The moment you move the actual faders on the SL after having controlled them via the iPad, the fader position on the SL goes into effect immediately. The work around is to select the 'Locate' button on the SL which will allow you to manually move the faders to the levels set via the iPad. A little tricky but not a big deal.

@AntkneeAll The case brand is EWI and can be sourced from AudioPile. There are many options available. I have the C12UDJ-P-22. It's a 12U space arrangement. I've gone through a couple cases and I love this one. Everything in one place, and it's on casters. Good folks over at AudioPile too. The laptop shelf is an SKB AV8. Nice to have the laptop right in front.

    Hi Luke,
Make sure the permissions are granted in the upper right corner of the screen in Virtual Studio Live. There's a section of the program that lets you control the permissions for any iPads, iPods, or iPhones that are connected via StudioLive Remote, or Qmix. That's about the only thing I can think of at the moment. Give that a try and if it still doesn't work, let me know and I'll dig a little deeper.

No Hans, it doesn't do that. No big deal though. You recall your scene from the board, fire up your iPad, and you're free to roam! It's pretty slick. Keep in mind the faders on the SL are not motorized. So if you change levels on the iPad, you have to hit the 'Recall' button to manually position the faders on the board to match the iPad.

Hello @jhinkens thanks for the overview of the app. Was wondering, what rack do you have your SL mounted in? I especially like deep the laptop shelf. Cheers.

First you must have a computer connected to the Presonus SL via FireWire. You can use a Mac or PC. It's easier with a Mac. Then you connect the computer to a wireless network. If ther is no wireless network available, you can create an adhock network with the Mac. Finally, you connect the iPad to the network running the Presonus Remote app. Any iPad will work. The cheapest is about $500 buck. More info here on UA-cam. Search Presonus videos.

hi joe... I just tried the ipad remote yesterday, helping a friend.
we almost made it work, but we got stuck in a tiny little problem.
when we connect the ipad to the studiolive, the controls are blocked by a dark transparent screen. if we slide any channel on the real mixer, the ipad shows it. the ipad just blocks the interface. if we go back to the uc software (pc... ok, I know it should be mac), the universal controller works just fine.
do you know what might be happening at the remote?

Hey I have a question, can you recall scenes on the iPad?

@jhinkens Due to UA-cam restrictions, I can't put the complete URL for AudioPile. Just put 'net' at the end.
