Although this is an informative video clip it is very outdated considering it was created back in 2012. Studio Live Remote that Rick talks about here is no longer available & I assume is being replaced by QMIX-UC while Universal Control is now at version 2.7. This is June 15, 2018 & I have spent the last week trying to get my 6s, & 4s iPhones along with a V2 iPad to integrate with my StudioLive 32 mixer. The procedure is frustrating because there are no clear videos supporting the updated QMIX-UC software & (forgive me if there are) one has to use a poke & hunt method to find them. I found a "WHAT TO VIDEO that describes the features, but not a HOW TO VIDEO" ( ua-cam.com/video/-tFArkh470A/v-deo.html ) with Ray describing the QMIX-UC which is also outdated from 2015. It's not a detailed video where they take an iPhone & perform a detailed step by step "HOW TO" that covers what channels need to be included, along with a "HOW TO" set up the "MORE ME" channel, & then continue on & talk about what monitor channel this will be sent out of. I don't hear much about routing this out of a pair of AUX's for stereo usage which is something that should be covered as well due to a lot of stereo in ears & headphone amps currently being used. I am in no way criticizing Presonus staffers for their efforts in producing these videos but I hope they step up & consider that they are immersed in these products daily while we as users are just coming on board trying to get these complicated pieces of equipment to work without the drama. Detailed setup info is what will set Presonus apart from a lot of companies who rely too much on their forums for solving the setup procedures & usage of their products. The 4s iPhone (when downloading QMIX-UC fore-warns) that QMIX-UC might not work with version 6.1.3 & the IOS needs to be updated to at least 8.?. Great, but when I perform the update it makes my iPhone so slow I can barely use it to make a phone call so that isn't going to work for me. As an option when I download the QMIX-UC app in version 6.1.3 a message asks if I want to install an older version (which is more compatible with my 4s iPhone, I assume) after downloading & installing QMIX-UC does not work at all & does not show up on the permissions list on the SL3 mixer. I hope the staffers at Presonus realize that we are depending on them to provide the info needed to get this stuff running & that this will be an ongoing problem with all the new products that Presonus introduces in the future. I think both Ray & Rick do an excellent job at presenting the gear but please place more focus on "HOW TO" videos because they save a lot of time for the end users. Cheers
My initial thought about PreSonus was that they are a great, innovative company. But every once in a while, a company will say something and pulls the curtain back a bit and gives you some insight into who they are at their core. This PreSonus rep just pulled the curtain way back. What does it say about a company's credibility, vision and knowledge of the industry when in 2014 they say they will not be supporting Android? I realize that comment is 2 years old, but I just checked and they still do not have an Android app available. PreSounus should ask themselves this question. "Where would iOS/iPods/ iPhone/iPads be if Apple had gone down the path of their initial strategy which was not to make it available for Windows?" Not including an Android app is the same thing.
Don't try to send Presonus an email about wanting android, I just bought the 24.4.2 and I have sent them 3 emails in a month and haven't hear a word from them yet, once they get your money they don't seem to give a crap about you, they even say "don't email our support until you look through the 40,000+ customer blogs on how to fix the problems you are having with our equipment.
Ya but try mixing a band from your iPod Touch! Not practical. The basic value of the Android system to US the end user is the COST effectivity (is that a word? lol). This too is the ONLY thing that is holding me back from purchasing this mixer for my Live Sound company. I'm saying that IF you want to boost your sales CONSIDERABLY...you'll need to dive into Android development. If TALENT is your hold-back then I can hook you up with people who can handle the job being from the GAMES industry!
So short-sighted of PreSonus to stick to iOS. If I were Bob Tudor, CTO, PreSonus Audio Electronics, and had only Apple-inclined developers on my team, I'd be looking for some better talent, knowing that to ignore the massive Android user base would result in revenue loss and possibly death. If you're afraid of testing, how about picking only a few specific Android tablets that you *can* support to start with? Sounds like you're stuck in Objective-C land. Prognosis for recovery not so good.
Charity? Android system have been out selling ios for over 2 years. It's pure neglect on any businesses part to ignore this market. Not All musicians use ios. Grow with the times or fall by the wayside.
All these companies integrating all this icrap bullshit... You realize you're alienating everyone else... Well, I know what will never make it to my studio.
I've been waiting 10 years from a reply from Rick.. Oh Vey

I was able to download the QMix-AI app for my ipad mini off the presonus website. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm wondering if it will work?
Did it work with the iPad..?

Schenker called.....he said he beat you to that name 30 years ago.
No Android App? I will never buy your products until you develop a Droid app.

Funny. There are far more users of Android than ios. That would be reason enough to develop for android especially now with more capable phones
