      Hi. I own my first horse and have been riding for 15 years. I struggle with balance and was hoping you could do a video on a workout to improve balance

    • @HorseLearnerFitness
      @HorseLearnerFitness  Рік тому

      Hi there! Balance is tricky for sure. If you go to the main page of this channel and use the search bar and type in 'Balance' you will find a few relevant videos that will hopefully help you 🙂 Lack of balance can be rooted in a need for more core strength so that is a good place to start. Hope that helps and let me know how you get on!

      @HorseLearnerFitness  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi Alyssa. Planks can be tricky, but what's great about them is that you can adapt them really easily. Have you tried doing them on your knees first? Then, if you're feeling OK doing that you. An start straightening out one leg at a time so only one knee touches the ground. Then you can alternate between plank on the knees, then a few seconds on the toes and then back on the knees. Just make sure you pull your belly button in the whole time to support your lower back. I hope that helps! 💪😊

      Squats and lunges can be heavy on the knees and if you're ever in pain, please stop the exercise and try alternative movements.
      It's unfortunately very difficult for me to assess this for you since I don't know your background, fitness level etc. If you are concerned, I advise you to speak to a physical therapist or medical professional as I am neither of those things ❤️ Hope you get some clarity and continue on your fitness journey! 😊💪

    • @HorseLearnerFitness
      @HorseLearnerFitness  10 місяців тому +1

      It's completely normal! It just takes time to build up the strength. Take short breaks if you need and focus on maintaining correct technique. If your hips come too far down it places load on your lower back (which we don't want). Also, you can do this on your knees to make it easier. Experiment with switching between knees and toes. Hope that helps@@AyaCharif-ot5gx

      Hi Madison. It really depends on your goals and how much time you want to dedicate to working out. In general the more often you can include a workout in your week the quicker you will see results. Start at a level that feels good for you but still pushes your limits and then progress from there both in workout duration and intensity 😊💪
