What a coincidence. I finally got to Grigori and won after a very long and extremely difficult fight. I thought being a level 67 Mystic Knight, with great stats, plus great and enhanced gear, and the best augments (Vehemence, Bastión, Acuity, etc) would make it easy, but nope. Now I got thrown into the Everfall facing enemies that can easily destroy me. I don't get it?! The difficulty curb on this game is insane!!!! And I haven't even set foot on BBI 😓 IDK what to do!!! I think I'm gonna take a break from this game, and I don't even know if I'll come back to playing it.
Strange, i had no problem with Grigori. The battle itself is pretty epic, but it's easy. The bigger they are - the easier they are. But after that i was a bit confused by the toughness of new enemies. Struggled some time to get to Gran Soren because of the freakin' hellhounds, holy shit. It's okay, however, because just before the "Final Battle" quest I was decemating everything easily, so I welcomed the challenge. P.S. Be ready for the final boss of BBI... Grigori is just epic, but that dude...
At lv67 you can easily start BBI the first part isn't that threatening, there is good loot to find easy lvl to gain and you can further upgrade dragon forged items, try it.
No curatives in-combat is something I've incorporated into my playthroughs as well and it's so much more fun to me, even simple fights like bandit groups, and honestly especially bandit groups, actually have tension and stakes.
Hey Nihil, do you ever think you'll do a full playthrough of Dragon's Dogma (main questline + Dark Arisen + side quests) using the written text-style guides you do for these videos? I know that would be a lot of work, but I i think it would be awesome and successful, as there aren't many (if any) playthroughs on youtube that are professional guides done by someone with the level of knowledge you have about the game.
I'm not sure if it's been answered else where, but do you have any suggestions for making DD2 more challenging/More fair? I've been trying to think of a way to balance it for both types of people but can only think of maybe hard mode being more restrictive to stacking items or weight capacity. I have found myself playing mostly Fighter and Warrior these last few times just do to no range making some fights much more intense.
For me just adding dmg or poise to enemies like it is here or restricting the player like heightening stamina consumption (both are in hardmode in this game) don't make the game fun just tedious (one of the reasons why i don't play hardmode.) so i guess stacking items or weight cap would also be boring and fail (for me). Just add new skills and powerups to enemies forcing people to learn their movesets (more moves = harder to predict what you should do and counter it so it makes it harder and more interesting. You could also make some skills in that mode pretty broken for some enemies.). Sure that would force the devs to make a lot more moves but it would be interesting hardmode instead of typical just add 50% to dmg enemies make and lower dmg the player makes and call it a day.
how the fuck are you still playing this game dude, i came across your channel 2 years ago when i got into Dogma and now i come back to still find you making content, its crazy
Hi there nil. I wonder if you could give me some advise. Its my first playthrough and i play as a MK in normal mode. I got freaked out when i cant get all augments and skills so i farmed a lot and did all escort quests which caused me to level up to lvl 70 and i am still at stage 2 of main story. I feel almost no challenge fighting enemies with a team and if i go solo or duet with my main pawn i would level up even faster and make the game more boring. Should I restart the game in hard mode or just use unupgraded rusted weapons and low-tier equipmens to feel more challenging? or just speed through the main quest and do BBI? I really like MK so much and i feel missing out all the fun doing my first playthrough. I already accumulated a lot of RC and gold and i dont really want to part with it by starting a new save. PS: BTW what vocation should an MK's main pawn use? i have a ranger but i am considering switching her to strider since i heard it provides good interruption to enemies and skull spliters work with magic cannon well.
Weapons and armor are what make us OP. Upgraded pieces even more so. Switch to hard mode and evaluate. If still easy, then get weaker weapons. BBI will be tougher than the main game, about double. If you select hard mode you restart the main quest but keep your progression in levels, ranks and gear. If you enjoy the pawns, keep them and just lower your gear. If you don't care for them, go solo. Your level isn't what makes you OP, it's 60% gear, 20% augments, 20% your level. Hard mode may be your answer. Second attempt try weapons and armor. Last attempt try solo. I typically don't go with pawns but for MK I would suspect Strider is a good choice or Sorcerer.
I think I did Fighter to 10, then Assassin to maybe 25, then MK. No Sorcerer, no Mage. I had Sinew (Fighter) Autonomy (Assassin) if I did Sorcerer, I would've gotten Acuity
Yep. Some get bored but if you can get into spelsync it's awesome. Here is my Sorcerer playlist. It may help - ua-cam.com/play/PLukV9BBsll8V1j1slt4l7yyugXLtDu5Ry.html
@@Nihil0.0 nice thanks for the quick reply. I went through the first playthrough as an assassin but ended up going ranger late late game. I wanted to try MA but uhhh stats were.... bleh.

Can't wait to see you being a master at DD2 when it comes out
Lova ya man, FIGHT ON!
I never carried curatives bc I had no idea how. My carry weight was always full.

to be fair, the enemies right after the dragon are really tough to kill. But if you can dragonforge the dragon weapons, they are super powerful.

Wow i literally saw nothing past 3:20, amazed u were fighting back.
Either you have a mod to switch without sheathing your weapon, or I have been playing wrong for a while
